Guessing the magic number. This is a simple trick in which the magician asks a person to do simple mathematical calculations, which leads him to almost the same answer every time. Here's what you should tell the viewer:

  • “Come up with any number from 2 to 10.”
  • "Multiply it by 9."
  • “Add the first digit of this number to the second.”
  • “Subtract 4 from the result.”
  • “Remember the new number - this is your secret number!”
  • “Now guess the letter of the alphabet corresponding to this number. That is, if you get 1, then this is the letter A; 2 - letter B and so on."
  • "Think about European country, which begins with this letter."
  • “For the 3rd letter of this country, wish for a large animal.”
    • When the viewer has followed all your instructions, simply say, “I know what you're thinking... it's the number 5 and the rhinoceros in Denmark!” This should work every time.
  • Guessing the magic vegetable. This simple trick almost always works. All you need are pieces of paper, pens and a few gullible spectators. To begin, place one piece of paper labeled “cucumber” in your left pocket, and a second piece of paper labeled “tomato” in your right pocket. Remember where you put each piece of paper. You're ready to start focusing:

    • To begin, distribute paper and pens to all interested viewers.
    • Ask them to do some simple math calculations, such as multiplying 2 by 2, dividing 10 by 5, adding 3 and 3, and so on. You can tell it's preparatory stage before mind reading.
    • Then say: “Quickly write the name of the vegetable!” Make sure people do it as quickly as possible; don't let anyone think too long.
    • Call a random spectator and ask them to name the recorded name of the vegetable.
    • If he says “cucumber,” pull the piece of paper that says “cucumber” out of your left pocket. If he says "tomato", pull out the piece of paper with the word "tomato" written on it from your right pocket. Tell the audience that your ability to read minds is so advanced that you were able to predict what they would write before the trick itself began.
    • People in Russia choose one of these vegetables in most cases. If the person doesn't name one of these two vegetables, then you'll have to quickly move on to another trick! If you live in another country with different common vegetables, you'll have to look for your own "magic vegetable."
  • Guess the name of a famous person. This is a fairly simple trick, but may take a little time. All you need is a hat, about 10 spectators, a pen, something to write your prediction on, and as many sheets of paper as there will be people present. Here's what you should do:

    • Ask a member of the audience to name a celebrity.
    • Write the first name on a piece of paper and throw it into the hat.
    • Ask others to name celebrities.
    • Pretend that you are writing down each name, when in reality you will only be writing down the first name over and over again. This is something that takes practice.
    • When the hat is full, ask someone from the audience to help you.
    • Say you can predict what name he will pull out of the hat. Of course you will predict the first name. Write it on a board for everyone to see.
    • Ask the spectator to take any piece of paper from the hat. All viewers will see that the first name is written there and, lo and behold, you made the correct prediction!

We bring to your attention 10 amazing magic experiments, or science shows, that you can do with your own hands at home.
Whether it's your child's birthday party, the weekend or the holidays, have a good time and become the center of attention of many eyes! 🙂

An experienced organizer of scientific shows helped us in preparing this post - Professor Nicolas. He explained the principles that are inherent in this or that focus.

    1 - Lava lamp

    1. Surely many of you have seen a lamp with a liquid inside that imitates hot lava. Looks magical.

    2. B sunflower oil water is poured and food coloring (red or blue) is added.

    3. After this, add effervescent aspirin to the vessel and observe an amazing effect.

    4. During the reaction, the colored water rises and falls through the oil without mixing with it. And if you turn off the light and turn on the flashlight, the “real magic” will begin.

: “Water and oil have different densities, and they also have the property of not mixing, no matter how much we shake the bottle. When we add effervescent tablets inside the bottle, they dissolve in water and begin to release carbon dioxide and set the liquid in motion.”

Do you want to put on a real science show? More experiments can be found in the book.

    2 - Soda experience

    5. Surely there are several cans of soda at home or in a nearby store for the holiday. Before you drink them, ask the kids a question: “What happens if you immerse soda cans in water?”
Will they drown? Will they float? Depends on the soda.
Invite the children to guess in advance what will happen to a particular jar and conduct an experiment.

    6. Take the jars and carefully lower them into the water.

    7. It turns out that despite the same volume, they have different weights. This is why some banks sink and others don't.

Professor Nicolas's comment: “All our cans have the same volume, but the mass of each can is different, which means that the density is different. What is density? This is the mass divided by the volume. Since the volume of all cans is the same, the density will be higher for the one whose mass is greater.
Whether a jar will float or sink in a container depends on the ratio of its density to the density of water. If the density of the jar is less, then it will be on the surface, otherwise the jar will sink to the bottom.
But what makes a can of regular cola denser (heavier) than a can of diet drink?
It's all about the sugar! Unlike regular cola, where granulated sugar is used as a sweetener, a special sweetener is added to diet cola, which weighs much less. So how much sugar is in a regular can of soda? The difference in mass between regular soda and its diet counterpart will give us the answer!”

    3 - Paper cover

Ask those present: “What happens if you turn a glass of water over?” Of course it will pour out! What if you press the paper against the glass and turn it over? Will the paper fall and water will still spill on the floor? Let's check.

    10. Carefully cut out the paper.

    11. Place on top of the glass.

    12. And carefully turn the glass over. The paper stuck to the glass as if magnetized, and the water did not spill out. Miracles!

Professor Nicolas's comment: “Although this is not so obvious, in fact we are in a real ocean, only in this ocean there is not water, but air, which presses on all objects, including you and me, we are just so used to it to this pressure that we don’t notice it at all. When we cover a glass of water with a piece of paper and turn it over, water presses on the sheet on one side, and air on the other side (from the very bottom)! The air pressure turned out to be greater than the water pressure in the glass, so the leaf does not fall.”

    4 - Soap Volcano

How to make a small volcano erupt at home?

    14. You will need baking soda, vinegar, some dishwashing chemicals and cardboard.

    16. Dilute vinegar in water, add washing liquid and tint everything with iodine.

    17. We wrap everything in dark cardboard - this will be the “body” of the volcano. A pinch of soda falls into the glass and the volcano begins to erupt.

Professor Nicolas's comment: “As a result of the interaction of vinegar with soda, a real chemical reaction occurs with the release of carbon dioxide. And liquid soap and dye, interacting with carbon dioxide, form a colored soap suds- here comes the eruption.”

    5 - Spark plug pump

Can a candle change the laws of gravity and lift water up?

    19. Place the candle on the saucer and light it.

    20. Pour colored water onto a saucer.

    21. Cover the candle with a glass. After some time, the water will be drawn inside the glass, contrary to the laws of gravity.

Professor Nicolas's comment: “What does the pump do? Changes the pressure: increases (then water or air begins to “escape”) or, conversely, decreases (then gas or liquid begins to “arrive”). When we covered the burning candle with a glass, the candle went out, the air inside the glass cooled, and therefore the pressure decreased, so the water from the bowl began to be sucked in.”

Games and experiments with water and fire are in the book "Professor Nicolas' Experiments".

    6 - Water in a sieve

We continue to study magical properties water and surrounding objects. Ask someone present to pull the bandage and pour water through it. As we can see, it passes through the holes in the bandage without any difficulty.
Bet with those around you that you can make sure that water does not pass through the bandage without any additional techniques.

    22. Cut a piece of bandage.

    23. Wrap a bandage around a glass or champagne flute.

    24. Turn the glass over - the water doesn’t spill out!

Professor Nicolas's comment: “Thanks to this property of water, surface tension, water molecules want to be together all the time and are not so easy to separate (they are such wonderful girlfriends!). And if the size of the holes is small (as in our case), then the film does not tear even under the weight of water!”

    7 - Diving bell

And to secure for you honorary title Waterbender and Lord of the Elements, promise that you can deliver paper to the bottom of any ocean (or bathtub or even basin) without getting it wet.

    25. Have those present write their names on a piece of paper.

    26. Fold the piece of paper and put it in the glass so that it rests against its walls and does not slide down. We immerse the leaf in an inverted glass to the bottom of the tank.

    27. The paper remains dry - water cannot reach it! After you pull out the leaf, let the audience make sure that it is really dry.

Do you want to surprise your children, cause them surprise, joyful smiles and real delight?

Give them real magic that can be easily done at home without special skills and with a little preparation.

    Magic water

Magician draws a flower on clean slate paper. He pours water on the flower, and it becomes colorful before our eyes.

The secret of the trick: for the trick to be successful, you need to prepare a stencil of the flower (you only need the outline of the flower so that the inside of the flower is simply not there). Then the outline of the flower should be placed on a piece of paper and covered with aniline powder. Choose the color yourself. You can also make several flowers of different colors.

Leaving the outline of the flower, blow off the aniline powder. There will still be tiny particles where there was powder. Holding the outline of the flower, carefully turn the leaf over and mark the outline of the flower on the other side of the leaf with barely visible dots.

Accordingly, during the trick, the magician will circle the flower point by point, and then slowly pour water onto the flower (preferably from the stem side). Thus, the dye from the aniline powder will gradually appear and the flower will become colorful.

    Velcro spoon

Making the spoon stick to a body part is very easy! Dip the spoon into the sweet tea, remove it and press it to a convex part of the body, such as a finger, nose or chin. We wait until the tea dries a little, and “voila!” the spoon stuck.

The secret is that sweet tea will reliably stick the spoon to the selected part of the body.

    Miracle Banana

Do you want to easily surprise your guests at the table? Show your guests a whole banana that has been cut into pieces in an absolutely miraculous way!

The secret of the trick: you need to pierce the banana in several places with a long needle. When piercing a banana in one place, you need to make several up and down movements, as if cutting the inside of the banana. And so that the places where we pierced the peel do not turn black, pour a little lemon juice there. That's all! The miracle banana is ready.

    Magic coloring of water

The magician takes turns taking several closed glass jars with plain water inside. Shakes each can in turn and says: magic words, and the water inside becomes colored: red, blue, green, etc.

The secret of the trick is very simple: Spread gouache of any color on the inside of the lid of the jar, pour water into the jar and screw on the lid. When we shake the water in the jar, it reaches the gouache and the water turns the color of the gouache. It's easy and simple, and the kids love it!

    Ball magnet

The magician takes the balloon and sprinkles confetti on top. The confetti sticks to the balloon and the balloon becomes decorated with colorful confetti. The secret of the trick: you need to inflate the ball and electrify it with fur or wool (rub it against the ball), after which the ball will begin to attract paper objects. The effect will be quite long.

    Dancer coin

The magician places a coin on the neck of the bottle, and the coin begins to jump on the neck.

The secret of the trick: you need to prepare a coin that will completely cover the neck of the bottle, a bottle with a narrow neck and water. Then the opened bottle should be placed in the freezer for 60 minutes. We take out the bottle and put a coin moistened with water on the neck. And she starts jumping. This is explained by the fact that gases expand when heated.

    Multicolored milk

The magician takes a bowl of milk and drips colorful dyes into it. Children watch as various multi-colored stains and patterns appear. Then the magician drops a drop into the milk liquid soap and this is where the real magic begins! The paint runs away from the drop as if by magic!

After this, children can add some dyes themselves, take leaves and print colorful beauty on pieces of paper.

Children's delight in magic tricks simply knows no bounds! And if you teach your child to do these tricks with their own hands, they will be able to amaze their friends with their magical abilities!

I wish you a great holiday,
Ekaterina Akhmetzyanova, author of the article.

Scenario for the holiday or ask any questions you can.

You can start demonstrating tricks after mastering its secrets, having thought through the image of the magician to the smallest detail and rehearsing the technique of the maneuver.

To amaze others with supernatural abilities, you must follow a number of rules of real magicians:

    • It is important to practice the trick several times in front of a mirror. Facial expression, position and manual dexterity matter.
    • Speech when performing a trick should be bright and thoughtful, since it acts as a distracting maneuver. The same applies to gestures. You can invite an assistant who will draw the viewer’s attention to himself during the manipulations.
    • A real magician never reveals the secret of a trick.
    • Maneuvers must be appropriate for the child's age. Easy pranks with food, balloons, and coins are suitable for kids. Schoolchildren junior classes Scientific tricks are interesting, for teenagers - with cards, fire, and so on.
    • When performing, one maneuver is not repeated twice - this will help preserve its secret and the mystery of the image of the magician.

    Lungs

How to make a flying cup from improvised materials

Glue a piece of double-sided tape, the size of the pad of your thumb, onto the container with the drink. Attach the glass to your finger and clasp it with your fingers. Turn the glass towards your chest, open your palm and show telekinesis in action.

For greater effect, move your free hand over the vessel. Hold the bottom with your little finger, pretending that the bowl is balancing on your finger.

Another option: hole a paper cup under your thumb in the middle of the wall. Carefully insert the phalanx and perform the same steps.

The simplest trick with your own hands

Carefully remove the sharp tip raw egg. Pour out the yolk and white. Place the shell on a wet plate and start turning it. Tilt the tray up and down about 30 degrees, making circular movements with the brush.

The egg shell spins and changes trajectory.

    With water

Most the best option tricks at home - experiments with liquid. The preparations are simple, all items are at hand, execution is not difficult.

    Enchanted ketchup

Fill a plastic bottle with water so that the container changes shape when pressed. Throw a small packet of ketchup or sauce into the water. The left hand easily squeezes the bottle and the object moves in the liquid.

The right one performs magical manipulations to distract the viewer's attention. Grab it tighter and the bag goes down; loosen your grip and it goes up. This trick is suitable for children 5-8 years old.

    Rainbow water

You will need several glasses, a set of food coloring and glue. Apply dots of glue to the top insides of the glasses and sprinkle with dye. Remove excess powder. To do this, shake the glasses upside down. Slowly pour water into them, add ice and the drink will sparkle with the colors of the rainbow.

    Leaky bag

Fill a strong plastic bag with water; you can paint it with watercolors. Tie, pierce with a pen or pencil. Pierce the package 5-6 times. As long as the holes are closed, moisture remains in the bag.

    Magic ice floes

Place the bottle of liquid in the freezer until icy, but not allowed to freeze. It takes 1.5-2 hours. Remove the container from the refrigerator without shaking.

Shake the liquid sharply in front of the viewer, and the ice will paint the bottle with a wonderful pattern from the inside.

Then cold water pour slowly onto an ice cube and it will harden into a mound.

This is the principle used to make ice cream that hardens before your eyes: shake the soda, put it in the refrigerator. But don't let it freeze. Then slowly open the bottle, the gas should come out. Pour the drink onto a cold plate and it will turn into a sweet dessert of ice crystals.

    With paper

How to get into the album sheet

The coolest and easiest tricks are with paper. For example, catch the moment when the baby is drawing and ask how to get through album sheet. The baby, of course, will not answer.

Then you need to fold the short sides of the sheet in half. Step back about 1-1.5 centimeters from the edge and use scissors to cut the paper from the fold of the sheet, just like cutting the spine of a book. Stop 1 centimeter from the edge where the sheet opens.

Cut the next side towards the fold. That is, step back 1 centimeter along the first slot and cut from the edge where the leaf opens, also without cutting 1 centimeter in front of the spine. In this way, riddled the entire paper, alternating sides.

When done, the result looks like pants. Along the edges of the sheet there should be cuts along only one pant leg on the fold side. And in the middle there are all pairs. We cut off the fold of the sheet on all pairs of pants. We straighten the paper and you can easily walk into the huge arch.

    Paper keeps water locked up

You will need a glass or bottle with a straight neck, a piece of paper larger in diameter top part vessel and ½ water in the container. Place the paper on the neck like a cap and turn it over along with the water, while holding the improvised lid tightly. Anything is suitable for the experiment: a vase, a bottle or even a jar.

    funny

    Endless thread

Buy a small skein of thread to match your sweater, shirt or jacket. Secure them under clothing. Using a needle, pull the edge of the thread outward. Now it's easy to make your loved ones laugh. Shake off the thread with a dissatisfied look. Once, twice. When your friends' attention is attracted, begin to pull the thread, pulling out more and more thread.

Emotions of the President of America

Even a beginner can make such a hologram. To do this, don’t mind crumpling the $5 bill with Abraham Lincoln on it. Make 2 folds outward perpendicular to the corners of his lips, bend 1 in the middle of the face - the dent will be along the hole between the lips and the bridge of the nose. Depending on the inclination, either a joyful Lincoln or a comically sad one appears before the eyes.

    Complex

    Noose around the neck

An original trick with ropes. It is advisable to learn this trick in front of a mirror. Place the lace around your neck so that both ends hang on your chest. Take the right rope at left hand and bring it over the left end, holding something like a lasso in your index finger. The right rope will lie on top of the left rope in the form of a curve.

Its beginning and end will be nearby, and the loop will lie on the rope and hang down on the other side. Holding the loop on the left lace with your right hand, quickly throw it behind your neck and secure it. From the front the rope looks like a noose, but from the back it is a tucked loop. Then it's a matter of fantasy. You can tie the dangling ends and gradually tighten the rope.

The result is that with a sharp movement forward, the noose seems to pass through the neck. The trick requires training, but it looks very impressive.

    For a birthday

Birthday balloons are the key to festive decorations and an excellent prop for magic.

    The strongest in the world

Place small pieces of tape on opposite sides of the balloon. When the time comes to surprise the guests, inflate the balloon and let the child pierce it with a thin knitting needle in the taped places, while everyone waits for a loud explosion and squints.

    The ball attracts objects

Place scraps of torn paper on a plate or table. rub balloon about hair or fur. Now bring it very close to the paper - it will be magnetized to the surface of the ball.

    Levitating Ring

Thread the elastic band into the ring and hold the ends firmly in your hands. Tighten the rubber. By changing the position of the hands and the tension of the elastic band, the illusion of a flying ring is created.

    New Balancing Wonders

Thread the teeth of the forks towards each other in a checkerboard pattern. Insert a match or toothpick into the opening between the teeth from above so that it intersects the tip of the second fork by about a third. Attach a match to the edge of a glass or glass.

    With hands, fingers and body

    Nightingale the Robber

Squeeze a blade of grass in your palm. There should be a tiny space between your thumbs. Take a deep breath and blow as hard as you can. A sharp, loud whistle for the whole world is guaranteed.

    Levitation

Stand half-turned towards the children. The toe of the left foot must be hidden, otherwise the trick will not work. Slowly raise your right leg, and only the heel of your left. After a little training in front of the mirror, the children will see that an adult is hovering above the ground.

    Flying table

Shows with floating objects always fascinate children. A flying table is easy to make. You will need 3 items: thick curved wire, a table made of lightweight materials and a tablecloth with a double bottom. Attach the wire to the side of the table and tuck it into the tablecloth. Hold the corner of the fabric with your hand with the handle hidden.

Raise and lower the wire, move your free hand over a flying object, hold the other end of the tablecloth, play with the movements. You can teach this trick to even a baby, just make a table out of foam and show him the secret.

    Tricks with fingers

Place the ring on your middle finger. Hold the back of your hand with the ring vertically, tuck your little finger, thumb and index finger. With the other hand, close the hand along the phalanges of the fingers.

Sharply squeeze the palm with the ring, then raise the index and middle fingers. It seems as if the ring has jumped up onto the index finger. Thus, by alternating your fingers, you create the illusion that the ring itself is moving.

    For babies

    Where is the bow tie

On stage, a child touches his neck and finds out that the tie is missing. Without thinking twice, he pronounces magic words and turns around on his axis. And everything is in place. To do this, you need to tie an elastic band to the butterfly and pull it, pressing it under the armpit; while twisting, the baby releases the elastic band and the tie falls into place.

    Mysterious matches

This trick can be shown to children 4-8 years old and adults. Cut the box across the matches. Glue the parts together so that the cut half of the box faces the other way. Now close.

Open the boxes in front of the viewer, close them. Turn it over and start pushing out the side where the matches are visible. The viewer expects them to fall from below. But, miraculously, the box turned over inside!

    In kindergarten

    Riddle with rain of coins

Hide 10 coins in the book in advance. Let the child take 2 coins in front of the audience and put them in the book. All that remains is to wave your magic wand, cast a spell and turn the textbook over. Coins fell like a river.

    Cool

The empty can of cola is full again

Even dummies can do this trick. Cut a piece of black paper in the shape of a drinking hole on the can. Attach it and press down with the opener tongue. This will create the appearance that the can is open.

Then pierce the top of the can and pour out a third of the drink. Demonstrate to guests that the jar is open and empty (press the puncture with your finger). Crumple it in front of your guests, then shake it slowly. The soda will start to fizz and straighten the can. Hold your palm over the cola and quietly remove the black paper, open and pour into the glass.

    For friends

    The secret of the moonwalk

The secret of gait, which was characteristic of Michael Jackson, is to transfer the weight of the body. You need to keep your feet at a distance of a step from each other. Balance on the toe of your right foot, while sliding backward with your left. When the left one is behind, transfer your weight to its toe and slide back with your right foot.

So, by alternating the center of gravity with a bent leg, you can repeat Jackson’s moonwalk. Smoothly gliding across the floor will become a real magic trick for friends.

    Water and whiskey

Pour alcohol into the first glass, water into the second. Cover the liquid with a bank card or piece of plastic. Turn it over and place it on another glass so that there is a card between the whiskey and the water. It's clever to pull out a card and let guests watch how the liquids change places in 10 seconds.

    Master class on piano

You can fool around and pretend to be a great musician; you don’t need to study at a special school for this. Periodically press the black keys with your little finger and thumb, and randomly move through the others with your index, ring and middle fingers. The sound will be unusual, pleasant and unique.

    Colorful sprite or tonic

Pour all kinds of food coloring into transparent glasses and cover crushed ice. It's time to add lemonade or alcohol. The dyes will rise up in curly ribbons, coloring the liquids.

Wine rises into an inverted glass

Light a candle and place it in the center of the plate. Pour wine around the candle, turn the glass upside down and cover them. The answer is that as oxygen burns, the wine rises up the walls of the glass.

    At school

    Games with pins

Release the lever on the first pin. It should be open in such a way that it is not noticeable. Leave the second one unchanged. Move the whole pin across the open one, take it off and put it on, and your classmates will not be able to understand the trick.

    Cola can balances

This is a very simple trick. The nice part of the trick is to destroy half the drink. Place the jar on the table and slowly tilt it. Carefully release the tin. It looks like she's about to fall. Surprisingly, the container will remain balanced.

    Amazing

    How invisible ink is made

Mix milk and lemon juice in equal proportions - the ink is ready.

Dip a brush into the mixture and write a letter on a piece of paper or draw a map to hidden treasures. Dry the drawing. In front of spectators, turn on the hairdryer and warm up the letter. An unusual secret message will begin to emerge. If you don't have a hairdryer, an iron will do.

    Professional

    The illusionist steals the flame

Move the lighter wick slightly using a toothpick or the tip of a pencil. Light the fire and move your hand over it with a grabbing motion. It was as if a light had been taken into the palm of your hand. The flame in the lighter will remain, but in a small hole. All that remains is to bend over and blow on your palm towards the wick. The flow of oxygen will allow the flame to flare up again.

    Chemical

Tricks with the transformation of substances will appeal to preschoolers and primary schoolchildren.

    Option 1
