It would be a pity to exclude salads, which have long since taken root in every family, from the list of “holiday” dishes. Today we propose to put on the agenda a painfully familiar salad - crab.

The real Louis crab salad at one time did not even contain crab sticks; crab meat was used in the recipe. But in the 90s, when there was no crab meat on store shelves, sticks became available to everyone; of course, they didn’t smell like meat, but the taste was approximately similar and the salad became loved by everyone.

Then the housewives began to conduct experiments, adding rice to the composition for greater satiety and quantity. It’s not the 90s anymore, crab meat can be bought at specialized outlets, but today we prefer the “folk” version of preparation, the only thing is to lay out the salad in layers.

If desired, the salad can be served in portioned glasses. So let's get started!

Ingredients:

  • crab sticks - 80 g;
  • boiled rice - 5 tbsp;
  • sweet corn - 4-5 tbsp;
  • fresh cucumbers - 2 pcs.;
  • green onions - 25 g;
  • chicken eggs - 2 pcs.;
  • mayonnaise 67% - 2-3 tbsp;
  • salt, pepper - to taste;
  • parsley - for decoration.

Cooking process

Boil the rice in advance and cool slightly. Use long rice; if desired, you can use round rice. Place rice in a bowl.

Add a third of the mayonnaise to the rice immediately. Wash and dry the green onions, chop and add the onions to the rice. Add a little salt to the rice and stir.

Take a plate for forming the salad, compact the rice and onions with the first layer.

Select fresh cucumbers, sweet and salad, wash them and dry them. Trim the tails on both sides, cut the cucumbers into small cubes. Place the cucumbers on top of the rice and press down slightly.

The next layer is sweet corn kernels. Add a little salt and layer with a little mayonnaise.

Peel the hard-boiled eggs and grate with coarse chips. Place egg shavings on top of corn. Add a little salt.

Freeze the sticks slightly, grate them on a grater with large holes, and place them in the final layer. Garnish with herbs and serve.

Cut the crab sticks lengthwise into four parts. We shorten the strips by cutting them diagonally, dividing each into three or four parts.

After peeling the shells, cut the eggs into small, but not small, slices.

Drain the brine from the jar of canned corn.

Place all prepared ingredients in a bowl. Add cheese and finely chopped onion by grinding through large mesh graters.

After dressing the salad mixture with mayonnaise, transfer it to a salad bowl.

Option 3: Holiday Crab Salad with Corn

This hearty salad is more complex than others, even the basic recipe cannot compare with it. The original design and presentation allow us to classify this appetizer as a special celebratory treat.

Ingredients:

  • four raw eggs and three hard-boiled;
  • a tablespoon of flour and the same amount of potato starch;
  • half a spoon of ready-made commercial ripper;
  • 100 grams of thin crab sticks;
  • three fleshy fresh tomatoes;
  • 200 grams of canned sweet corn;
  • spoon of chopped parsley;
  • cheese, any kind - 100 gr.;
  • pomegranate seeds - about one and a half spoons;
  • onion feathers - 8 pcs.;
  • vegetable oil;
  • 30 grams of sour cream.

How to cook

Break four eggs into a bowl. Add starch, flour, beat thoroughly. After adding the ripper and adding a little salt, beat the mixture again. Stir parsley into the resulting dough.

Grate the cheese into a separate plate on a fine grater. Add sour cream and mix thoroughly. Mayonnaise can successfully replace sour cream if you add a little chopped garlic to the mixture.

Place the frying pan on medium heat. After greasing the bottom with oil, warm it well. Pour the prepared dough into the frying pan in small portions and fry the pancakes on both sides. After removing it to a plate, immediately grease it with cheese mixture and roll it into a tube.

Cut crab sticks and tomatoes into small cubes. Finely chop the onion feathers and eggs. Combine everything in a bowl, add the corn, dried from the marinade. After adding a little salt, season the crab salad with warm mayonnaise.

Rolls of pancakes with cheese filling cut into pieces one centimeter wide.

Line the bottom of a deep bowl cling film. Place pieces of pancakes on the sides and bottom and fill the bowl with salad. After leveling the surface, lightly compact it and place it in the refrigerator.

After keeping the salad in the cold for about an hour and a half, we take it out. Turn the bowl over onto a flat plate and carefully lift it up. We decorate the salad with pomegranate seeds, placing one in the center of each pancake circle. Sprinkle the surface with finely chopped green onions.

Option 4: Spicy crab salad with corn and apple without onion

Let's replace the onion with a less prosaic apple and get a salad prepared more “based on” the original recipe. Everything is unusual, the apple, the sour cream dressing, and even the lemon.

Ingredients:

  • rice (cereals) - half a glass;
  • a jar of large, sweet corn;
  • four eggs, pre-boiled;
  • 200 gram pack of chilled crab sticks;
  • large, slightly sour apple;
  • three tablespoons of oil;
  • seven tablespoons of 20 percent sour cream;
  • small lemon;
  • a teaspoon of hot mustard.

Step by step recipe

Boil the washed rice until tender. Drain in a colander and rinse again. If cooked rice is not rinsed, the grains will stick together, which will affect the taste and appearance salad

Scald the lemon with boiling water. After cutting, squeeze out a tablespoon of juice and strain it through a strainer. Mix lemon juice with vegetable oil. After adding a little ground pepper and adding salt to taste, stir in the mustard and combine with sour cream.

We cut the sticks lengthwise, then cut them diagonally into strips one and a half centimeters long.

Cut the peeled and seeded apple into cubes, eggs into small slices.

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Add salt, mix thoroughly, then gradually add mustard dressing. Transfer the salad to a serving dish and serve.

Option 5: Delicious crab salad with corn, eggs and Korean carrots

Carrots, marinated in the style of Korean cuisine, are already a ready-made salad. And adding it to the traditional crab roll salad, we get a rather unusual, but very appetizing appetizer dish.

Ingredients:

  • Korean pickled carrots - 150 gr.;
  • 120 gr. canned corn;
  • boiled eggs - four, selected;
  • two tablespoons of medium-fat mayonnaise;
  • 100 gr. frozen rolls;
  • garlic.

How to cook

Hard boil the eggs in advance. If you purchased frozen sticks, thaw them at room temperature. If you decide to speed up thawing in water, do not put sticks in it without sealed packaging and do not use warm water. After defrosting in hot water the surface of semi-finished products becomes slimy, which can lead to a change in taste and speed up the spoilage of the finished salad.

Remove the packaging from the crab sticks and cut into large cubes. We cut the eggs into proportional slices and pour them into a bowl together with the crab meat.

Lightly squeeze the Korean carrots. After shortening the straw, place it on top of the eggs and chopsticks. Add corn, press a spoonful of garlic through a press, mix.

After dressing the salad with mayonnaise, transfer it to a salad bowl. It’s good to add fresh dill to it, it will give a little freshness and its own aroma.

Option 6: New Year's crab salad with corn without eggs (with sour cream)

It’s almost impossible to imagine such a snack without eggs, but we tried it and... it worked! And it turned out, I must say, very well, in the style of New Year’s salads, except that you have to use greenhouse tomatoes.

Ingredients:

  • half a large apple;
  • two small fresh tomatoes;
  • canned corn - 5 tbsp. l.;
  • half a glass of boiled rice;
  • 250 gr. crab sticks;
  • half a glass of sour cream or mayonnaise;
  • a large bunch of dill;
  • 70 grams of cheese;
  • pomegranate seeds - 1 tbsp. l.

Step by step recipe

Rice should be cooked in advance so that it has time to cool. Don't forget to rinse the cooked rice and place in a colander to dry.

Cut crab sticks into small cubes, tomatoes into proportional slices. If you find tomatoes with a lot of seeds, use a spoon to remove them after cutting the tomatoes in half.

In medium-sized cubes, slightly larger than crab cubes, cut half of the apple, peeled and seeded. Finely chop the dill.

Place crab sticks, most of the tomato and apple slices into a bowl. Add corn and rice and mix thoroughly with sour cream.

We form the salad. It can be laid out in the form of a wreath or Christmas tree. To place a wreath in the center of the dish, place a glass of suitable diameter and lay out the salad, compacting it with your hands. Then carefully remove the container and generously sprinkle the surface with dill. We place whole crab sticks on the salad in the form of candles and imitate the flame with slices of tomatoes. Between the “candles” we scatter corn and pomegranate grains.

In the same way, placing the salad on a dish, form a Christmas tree with your hands and decorate the surface with chopped dill. For the top, a star is cut out from the pulp of a tomato, and patterns in the form of tinsel are applied with mayonnaise or sour cream. Pomegranate and corn seeds are laid out to imitate toys.

Option 7: “Corn” - original crab salad with corn

The following recipe is not very different in composition, but the design is carefully thought out. The products and their method of preparation are also selected taking into account the shape of the finished treat.

Ingredients:

  • four boiled eggs and two carrots;
  • boiled potatoes in jackets - 4 medium tubers;
  • large fresh cucumber;
  • 150 gr. corn in light brine;
  • mayonnaise;
  • 200 grams of high-quality, non-moist crab sticks;
  • onion feathers for salad decoration.

How to cook

All products that need to be boiled should be prepared in advance so that they have time to cool to room temperature.

Peel the boiled potatoes and grate them through a coarse grater directly into a serving dish. Lightly tamping, with your hands or a fork, form two thin layers in the form of corn cobs. Lightly add salt and generously grease with mayonnaise.

Finely grate boiled carrots on top of the potatoes and lightly coat with mayonnaise.

Cover the carrot layer, crushed coarse crab sticks, and again apply mayonnaise in a thin layer.

Using a large grater, grate the cucumber onto a flat plate. Decant the juice and place the fourth layer of salad.

Lastly, rub the eggs onto the cucumbers and grease the surface of the salad well with mayonnaise.

We decorate the treat with lightly dried corn, carefully arranging the grains. By cutting the onion feathers lengthwise, we imitate greens.

Option 8: “Mexico City” - crab salad with corn and beef liver

They claim that in Latin America live formidable macho men, fit and cheerful. It may just be a legend, but it’s definitely not a reason to give up Mexican-style snacks.

Ingredients:

  • steamed veal liver - 300 gr.;
  • two carrots;
  • large onion;
  • 300 grams of canned corn;
  • mayonnaise - 150 gr.;
  • 240 gr. crab meat or sticks.

Step by step recipe

We wash the liver, cut off all excess, remove the film. Dropping in cold water, boil until done. In order for the liver to cook well, after boiling it is enough to cook for 40 minutes at low simmer. After cooling, cut into thin strips, up to four centimeters long.

In parallel with the liver, boil the carrots. After cooling, peel and cut into shapes like the liver, but a little thinner.

Thinly chop the onion into beautiful half rings.

Crab sticks, like the liver, are cut into strips. The cutting will look neater if you hold the knife at a slight angle.

Combine all the products in one bowl, mix with mayonnaise and transfer to a salad bowl.

Option 9: Crab salad with corn and rice

Would a traditional celebration be complete without a luxurious table, and that, in turn, without salads? In a couple of years, new recipes become so familiar that it seems that a feast has never been prepared without them. Crab meat salads with canned corn are so varied that it’s hard to even come up with a name for them; it’s easier to name them by the main products. Let's start, perhaps, with the most familiar treat.

Ingredients:

  • round grain rice (cereal) - 80 g;
  • 200 gram package of chilled semi-finished crab products;
  • small onion;
  • two eggs;
  • four spoons of Provencal mayonnaise;
  • a jar of canned corn.

Step-by-step recipe for crab salad with corn

After sorting, fill the rice with cool water. After adding a little salt, place the pan on the stove and bring, stirring occasionally, to a boil. Next, cook until tender at a low boil. After rinsing the cooked rice with cold water, place it on a sieve.

Boil the eggs. To prevent the yolk from spreading, eggs should be cooked at a boil for 10 minutes. After cooling with cold water, peel the shells from the eggs and wash them just in case - small fragments of the shell may stick to the whites, they must be removed.

Using a thin knife, cut the crab meat into small cubes and chop the eggs into small slices. Place the chopped ingredients in a salad bowl.

Having strained all the marinade from the jar of corn, pour the grains into the previously laid out ingredients.

After peeling the onion, finely chop it. Pour the slices into a salad bowl, add baking soda and well-drained rice.

Lightly add salt and begin mixing. In the process, gradually add mayonnaise slightly whipped with a fork.
