The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, explained on her Facebook why she wears the Star of David, how she came to Christian faith and told about her hatred to nationalism

After Maria Zakharova’s antics about Stalin and the USSR...I am not a complete supporter of Maria, and many of her statements raise quite a few questions. I kept wondering where her hatred for everything Soviet came from.

Maybe I'm wrong, but this is... star of David, turns into a "friend or foe" identifier. In my understanding, liberalism has not brought anything good during its 200 years in Russia; supporters of this movement were especially noted for their treacherous ideas of bending to the Western democratic myth.
Now it is clearly visible that there is democracy in the countries of the “fat billion” ... but it is quite strange to wear the symbol of Orthodoxy - the cross and the symbol of Judaism - the Star of David. All that remains is to put on the Muslim crescent. Remember, in the movie "The Mummy" one of the local guides has about 10 religious symbols!)))

But for that position. What does Maria occupy with this “multi-directionality”) clarifies a lot.

Today I was sent a screenshot of a comment by a certain “Mikhail Chernovol” posted on the website of the newspaper “Zavtra”. Usually I don’t comment on this and don’t pay attention at all. But for a number of reasons, I will make an exception for these words: "... on this Masha’s chest on a gold chain there was not a symbol of Christianity, but “Mogendovid” - a six-pointed star, the Star of David."

I remember in the second grade I brought a new word from school - “Jew”. Mom asked if I understood the meaning. I answered that I didn’t understand, and that’s what the guys said, but I remember that it sounded reminiscent of the word “livery.” Mom sat me, a seven-year-old child, on her lap and said: “This is such a nationality. The French are also a nationality, and the Chinese, and Ukrainians. Here we are, Russians. They live in peace different people, and there are a lot of nationalities. They have different languages, different dances, various fairy tales. They can live in different countries or in one country." Everything was clear, and I was about to get off my knees. "But I want to tell you one very important thing. Unfortunately, you will still hear a lot of bad things about different nationalities. There are people who will say that one nationality is good and the other is bad. One people is better or worse than another. It is not true. Every nation has good and bad. Remember this. And no matter what you hear, know that there are no bad or good nationalities, there are bad or good people“- said my mother. Then I thought and added: “Since you learned this new word for you today, I want you to understand its meaning.” “I understand, mom, you explained it,” I hurried about my business. But my mother said: “No, not completely. You're russian. Both dad and I are Russian, and your grandfather is half Ukrainian. We speak and think in Russian and live like Russians. But you were born thanks to a doctor who was Jewish. And if it weren’t for him, it’s unknown how everything would have turned out for us, the Russians. Remember this forever. And never allow people of other nationalities to be humiliated in front of you." And I remembered. Probably because they were very simple words, a very clear example. Or simply because my mother is like that. I remembered them forever.

When I was 20 years old, I ended up in Israel - it was a one-day excursion on a boat during a week-long vacation in Cyprus, where my mother and I were taken by her brother. These few hours in Jerusalem and Bethlehem changed my life. Fully. Religion appeared in it. Not faith. It was there before, in the form of an intuitive feeling, premonition and even understanding. But it was all somehow... pagan, or something. And it burned there. This charge is still enough. All memories are fresh and even tangible. While still in Bethlehem, I said that I would undergo all the rituals in Moscow. And my uncle, who helped us a lot financially at that time, bought me the same gold chain that I always wear in one of the local jewelry stores. Returning to Moscow, I was baptized. Since then I have been Orthodox, in the sense that I try to be so. On the back of my small cross, which was bought in an Arab shop and which is always with me, it says “Jerusalem”.
Our religion prohibits hatred. She punishes her for it. But in me there is something that in English is called objective hate, and in Russian, forgetting about pathos, one can probably express the well-known “noble rage.” I hate all types of nationalism (from racial discrimination to religious intolerance), I hate it when they humiliate or bully, no matter who. And I also hate stupidity and stupid malice, which are capable of seeing the Star of David not only in a flower or a snowflake, but even in the formula of benzene.

When I was thinking about who to ask to be my daughter's godparents, I had two cherished desires. First. So that these people are kind and love to laugh. Second. So that they, if possible, represent different nationalities or lived in different countries. So that my child from the very early childhood, as with my milk, I absorbed the richness and diversity of this world and smiled. So that borders, skin color, cultural differences would never be barriers for her. Consider this my personal contribution to the fight against nationalism.
I'm lucky. Our godfather is Georgian. Sparkling and cheerful, and very kind, despite the fact that due to national question, most likely, will never see his family’s beloved Sukhumi and Sukhum again. Our godmother, I don’t even know who’s nationality (judging by the bright beauty, it’s a mixture of everything), lives in New York, and when we all get together, Maryana enthusiastically plays with her son, born in a marriage with a burning Brazilian. And our nanny, who put her soul into Maryana, is Armenian. Cool mix. "Mikhail Chernovol" would have been torn apart;))

Let us remember, brothers, those
Who closed the world with himself,
About personal, your success
For us I forgot it forever.

Let us remember them with prayer,
So that those who would forgive
Who didn't take us with him,
Left on the ground.

Let's remember them a hundred times
And a glass and a tear,
And the bitterness of rewards
For their farewell fight.

Let's remember everything while standing,
Bent over the grass.
They went where
The light is hidden behind the darkness.

Let's stretch out our hands to those
whose eyes are full of tears,
Whose house was orphaned
From the horror of Trouble.

Let's remember them, please
Let us remember them in peace,
Those who died for the country,
For honor and for our own.

Selected quotes from Maria Zakharova:

"There are countries that are ahead of many other states in terms of their level of economic development, military potential, financial power. They got ahead, they became leaders in many industries. Of course, there is a desire to rewrite the rules of the game in one’s favor, and this is natural for any society. But the question is how the rest of society reacts to this. You can give up your positions and submit to the rule of the strong, or you can fight to defend your rights. And it seems to me that the moment of truth is coming right now. Either we really defend our rights, defend the right to independent life, or we don't do it"

“Washington’s actions are the implementation of a policy of containment, but in this case, containment is not only of Russia, it is containment of Europe as well.”

“Where has interference in internal affairs under a plausible pretext led to the existence of a sustainable, stable, prosperous state? Nowhere! A natural political process is the only way for a state to become stable and prosperous. The example of the collapse of Ukraine is no less indicative.”

"I had a better opinion of European politics, believed that she was stronger. It is clear that the United States was putting pressure on them, but they are putting pressure on them - don’t bend."

“I believe that any propaganda and any disinformation spread is powerless in the face of a thinking person.”

“No matter how or what they said, in Crimea it was democracy, because for the first time in their lives people were allowed to speak out”

“Leaders who destroyed their own people burn in hell twice as brightly as those who destroyed someone else’s.”

“Life is so much more diverse and unreal than any science fiction films and action films that those people who are not initiated cannot even imagine what it really is.”

“For me, everything that was connected with the Second World War is sacred, not subject to any changes. This is what I stand on, what my family stands on. I think this is a great feat Soviet people and the Russian people"

"We must be honest and truthful with our own history. And if I, as an official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, demand respect from countries in relation to monuments Soviet soldiers, then I must first of all be honest with them and with myself, saying that there have been different moments in our history: there are things that we are proud of, and there are things that are mistakes, big and tragic mistakes."

"We are in Peaceful time We don’t always know how to get together. But when they woke up this bear, it didn’t seem like much anymore.”

Maria Zakharova: I hate it when people are bullied, and I always advocate objectivity

Maria Zakharova's height: 170 centimeters.

Personal life of Maria Zakharova:

Married. My wife's name is Andrey. However, Maria categorically refuses to provide details of her personal life, in particular, talk about her husband.

It is known that the couple got married on November 7, 2005 in New York, when Maria worked there. “I worked in New York. My husband is domestic. He came, got married, left,” - .

In August 2010, she gave birth to a daughter, Marianna.

As Maria said, her daughter had already been to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: “I took her to work a couple of times when there was absolutely no one to leave her with.”

Maria has retained her childhood hobby to this day.

The first exhibit in Zakharova’s collection was a microscopic straw hat with a flower. Maria bought it when she lived with her parents in Beijing. When Zakharova grew up and began to travel around the world on her own, she continued to chase rare and unusual objects of miniature size. She purchased her exhibits everywhere: in England - a porcelain bathtub, in Canada - a pincushion chair, and in Kaliningrad - an amber iron, etc. Later she ordered the making of a house, which cost her $200.

Maria always looks great and, despite the strictness of dress required for a diplomat, she manages to appear stylish, beautiful and feminine to the public.

“There is no stylist, I dress myself, I buy things myself. They don’t give money for this, unfortunately, they don’t sew anything. Except for the dress uniform - the same uniform that was presented to everyone on Diplomatic Worker’s Day, that’s what it’s really supposed to be, they sew it,” - she says.

IN Everyday life, she, of course, allows liberties and experiments with the image.

Ἐν ἀρχῇ ἦν ὁ Λόγος, καὶ ὁΛόγος ἦν πρὸς τὸν Θεόν, καὶ Θεὸς ἦν ὁΛόγος

Today I was sent a screenshot of a comment by a certain “Mikhail Chernovol” posted on the website of the newspaper “Zavtra”. Usually I don’t comment on this and don’t pay attention at all. But for a number of reasons, I will make an exception for these words: “... on this Masha’s chest on a gold chain there was not a symbol of Christianity, but “Mogendovid” - a six-pointed star, the Star of David.”

I remember in the second grade I brought a new word from school - “Jew.” Mom asked if I understood the meaning. But mom said: “No, not completely. You're russian. Both dad and I are Russian, and your grandfather is half Ukrainian. We speak and think in Russian and live like Russians. And never allow people of other nationalities to be humiliated in front of you.” And I remembered. Probably because these were very simple words, a very clear example.

But I have something in me that in English is called objective hate, and in Russian, forgetting about pathos, it can probably be expressed as the famous “noble rage.” I hate all types of nationalism (from racial discrimination to religious intolerance), I hate it when they humiliate or bully, no matter who. And I also hate stupidity and stupid malice, which are capable of seeing the Star of David not only in a flower or a snowflake, but even in the formula of benzene.

When I was thinking about who to ask to be my daughter’s godparents, I had two cherished desires. First. So that these people are kind and love to laugh. Second. So that, if possible, they represent different nationalities or live in different countries. So that my child from early childhood, as with my milk, absorbs the richness and diversity of this world and smiles. So that borders, skin color, cultural differences would never be barriers for her. Consider this my personal contribution to the fight against nationalism.

I'm lucky. Our godfather is Georgian. Sparkling and cheerful, and very kind, despite the fact that, due to the national issue, he will most likely never see his family’s beloved Sukhumi and Sukhum again. Our godmother, I don’t even know who her nationality is (judging by her bright beauty, it’s a mixture of everything), lives in New York, and when we all get together, Maryana enthusiastically plays with her son, born in a marriage with a fiery Brazilian. And our nanny, who put her soul into Maryana, is Armenian. Cool mix. “Mikhail Chernovol” would have been torn apart;)) ( ttps://www.facebook.com/)

Typical reaction of the Russian Runet:

“Here, I think, it would also be very helpful for Masha to get acquainted not only with the nationality of the doctor’s mother, but also with the nationality of her parents’ grandparents, both mother and father, and other relatives. And I am sure that she would have been filled with even greater gratitude to the Jews for being born into this world, and you and I would have been much more clear about her Israeli religious insights, the flared up feelings and the fire that burned her soul since that young 20-year-old Ti years of age.

Masha’s extremist definition of nationalism becomes more understandable, as the eternal cosmopolitan feeling of a pathological liberal, in relation to its moral antipode, national feeling, as a feeling of belonging to one’s people and its culture and pride in everything good that this people has, pride in its history and his accomplishments. But judging by Masha’s statements, such feelings towards Russia and the Russian people are alien to her, she did not say a single word about her country of residence. In addition to the cosmopolitan liberal spirit are her extremely negative reviews of Stalin and her habitual lie, repeated like a parrot, about the “multi-million victims of the Stalinist regime.” Here, as in other liberal mantras, liberals themselves resemble answering machines.”
