Every fan Grand Theft Auto remembers how nice it was to learn that Tommy Vercetti was working for the Forelli family, who had previously appeared, albeit briefly, in GTA III. And of course, any fan of the series will not forget the delight that filled us when we met Kent Paul in the desert near Las Venturas, during his conversations about Ken Rosenberg, and later in the slaughterhouse, where this same Ken suddenly began shouting: “Tommy! »

New universe GTA provides us with many more opportunities to meet well-known characters. Now they are not separated by many years and different eras: they wait to meet each other exactly as long as we wait for the new part of our favorite series. The fates of most of the heroes of the fourth part continued in the vastness of Los Santos in GTA V.

We offer you a detailed report on who went where and what happened to whom below.

Niko Bellic and his family

Probably everyone paid attention to the casually dropped words of Lester Cross about the guy from of Eastern Europe, who hunted in Liberty City until he went to the bottom. We were talking, of course, about Niko. Judging by Lester's acquaintance with the "gang of psycho Irish", he may well have helped them with their plan to rob the Liberty City Bank.

The wording “lay low” could mean either Niko’s death or his next attempt to move away from criminal activity. More likely, however, is the second option, since it is Niko’s page on the Lifeinvader network that Jimmy De Santa constantly keeps open on his laptop. At the time of events GTA IV, as we remember, the Serbian immigrant did not yet have his own profile on a social network. And in general, Niko’s desire to “lay low” and start living a normal life fits well with the concept of his entire story: to escape from the past and live in a happy present.

Niko Bellic is subscribed to the BurgerShot group, which may be a hint at the health restoration system in GTA IV based on fast food meals. In addition, we can see Niko’s brother Roman as a friend. This gives every reason to believe that the hero’s uncompromising nature did not allow him to make a deal with Dmitry Raskalov and he preferred fair revenge to her.

Another argument in favor of this version is an entry on the Lifeinvader page of Tavell Clinton, a relative of Franklin, who moved from Los Santos to Liberty City and speaks of Roman's taxi service as the worst taxi he has ever seen. And although representatives Rockstar Games they said that Roman’s fate is completely in the hands of the player, his activity in in social networks and the existence of the taxi service make it clear that he is still pestering Nico with offers to go bowling, and may also be raising a girl, Kate, with Mallory, named after the only girl in the McReary family. By the way, speaking about this family, GTA V a lot has been said too.

Patrick McReary and his family

It must be every player who doesn't have heightened senses justice, helped two robbers escape from the scene during one of the random events in Los Santos. Among those robbers is Patrick McReary himself, who, after his triumph with Liberty City Bank, moved to the West Coast and descended to attacking liquor stores.

In the end credits " Ballads of Blue Tony“Patrick was indeed very meaningfully heading towards the airport. Many assumed his departure to Ireland or Australia, but in fact, Packy took off on the first flight to the next part to help our heroes with robberies in GTA V. As mentioned above, Lester Crest is well aware of him and his exploits, however, during the five years spent in Los Santos, Patrick never tried to contact the criminal mastermind and ask him for a case, preferring petty robberies with random acquaintances. This suggests that Lester communicated with the Irish gang exclusively through Gerald or Derrick.

Gerald, as we know, went to prison for a very long time, and Patrick's sister, Kate McReary, according to the version voiced above, died. The older brother, Derrick, according to Packie, also died during a bank robbery in Paleto Bay, but it is unknown whether the cause was Niko’s bullet or Derrick’s heroin addiction and restless temperament. We know that Nico was extremely sympathetic to the former revolutionary, but it is quite possible that Francis' money and influence had an effect and Nico chose not to take risks. On the other hand, age, drugs and criminal activity are also not a guarantee of a long and happy life. Be that as it may, Patrick left Liberty City due to a series of tragedies that befell his family.

In Game Chinatown Wars Irish criminal group is no longer called the McReary family, but instead took the name Irish-American Killers, which only confirms the version that there is no new leader of the gang from among the McRearys. Most likely, Gordon Sargent took on the role of leader, being the most active and arrogant member of the gang, who did not put anyone in authority except Gerald himself.

Gordon is known for his debts to local bookmakers, and betting in the Dukes area is handled by Mark Volpe, a capo of the Messina family. Since the previous employers of the Irish gang, the Pegorino syndicate, were destroyed, it is quite possible that Gordon will try to work off the debt by placing his guys at the disposal of the Italians. On the other hand, Mark's brother, Fredo Volpe, for a long time is a police informant, and the rest of the gangsters suspect Mark himself of this, which puts his career in the family in jeopardy.

Patrick also ended all relations with Niko Bellic and even assumes that he has already died. This fits well with tradition Rockstar consider the heroes of the previous parts dead, but this may well be only the pessimism of Paki himself. It's very sad to see Nico and Patrick's friendship end so easily, but is it easy to maintain a relationship after so much tragedy together? Take the Lost brotherhood...

Johnny Klebitz and his brotherhood

It’s easy to guess what consequences the events led to for the bikers GTA V. Yes and during GTA IV each of the main characters contributed to the destruction of the Lost club. Even Johnny Klebitz himself, its most active participant, killed many of his brothers during the internecine war and ultimately burned down the clubhouse. How did the Lost fraternity manage to become one of the largest illegal motorcycle clubs in the country after the player turned his back for five years? How did it happen that no matter what efforts the player made to destroy the biker diaspora, they still managed to survive and win, albeit not for long?

Let's remember the balance of power for 2008. The Angels of Death, which originated on the West Coast in San Andreas, are international organization and, despite criminal activity, maintain a decent public image. The Lost Club, in turn, has only two branches related to Liberty City: one in Broker, and the second in Alderney, in the neighboring state. Lost does not show any other activity in the United States. As a result of the bloody war with the Angels of Death, as well as during the events GTA IV and even Chinatown Wars both branches of Lost lose many fighters and almost all “officers”, and the club house in Alderney was completely destroyed by Johnny Klebitz. These events became known as the “Chapter Curse of Liberty City” and the “Billy Gray Mess” for a reason.

Unlike the Angels of Death, members of Lost do not worry about public opinion, which leads to close attention from the Federal Reserve Bank. We all remember how special forces shut down a heroin deal in which Johnny and Niko took part. We also know that after this Johnny Klebitz received a call from a certain agent Jones, who offered cooperation and later forced him to testify. former president club, Billy Gray. And although Billy was soon killed and the Lost clubhouse was burned down, it is unlikely that the FBI agents relaxed their surveillance. Johnny Klebitz disbanded the Alderney chapter, rejected the help and patronage of Senator Thomas Stubbs III, and was left sitting on two million dollars taken from Ray Boccino in the diamond deal. And although the money was supposed to go to help the families of his dead brothers, Johnny had every reason to pack up his belongings and head to the West Coast, forcing the Fed, as Steve Haynes put it on his TV show, “chasing them from coast to coast for so long that the agents began to spend more time in the Midwest than tornado hunters.”

In the end, the number of fighters is not the main thing, the main thing is their quality. Only the best of the best remained in the club and, as Johnny himself said: “We don’t need people, we need brothers.” Most likely, leaving only the bikers from Broker in Liberty City, with whom Juan Li would still meet a year later, Johnny gathered his team and “rode off into the sunset.” Angus Martin, confined to a wheelchair, according to his own words, could no longer ride off into the sunset, and therefore it is worth assuming that he remained in Alderney to work on motorcycles and this moment is the last surviving member we know of.

Why Johnny got back together with Ashley is difficult to understand. At the end The Lost and Damned his decision to break up with her looked quite convincing. However, seasoned biker Johnny was never a stranger to chivalry, and most likely he did not give up hopes of pulling Ashley out of the swamp into which she had driven herself. He took her with him as a girlfriend when he decided to cross America. Johnny, Terry, Brian and Angus have a patch on their jackets indicating that they all rode their bikes to Los Santos in 2004.

In one of the online missions The Lost and Damned the player is required to make a deal with the arms barons from El Salvador. The only gang of Salvadorans that we know about is called Marabunta Grande and is based in Los Santos. It is with them that Trevor and his partner Oscar fight during weapons smuggling missions. Since both Central Americans and bikers are involved in weapons, it can be assumed that it was Marabunta Grande who became Lost's first partners on the West Coast. In addition, they are the only Latin American gangs who do not cause problems for bikers. Aztecas were enemies and competitors of Lost from the very beginning, but the quarrel with Vagos occurred very shortly before the events GTA V, since in GTA Online they often conduct drug deals with Lost.

As for the “Angels of Death”, who initially owned the West Coast, their fate will be told by the biker “Lost”, who is hiding from the police, whom Franklin or Michael may accidentally meet near a rural house near Bolingbroke prison. “Are you from the Angels of Death?” - asks his protagonist, thereby showing us that “Angels” is still much more known to ordinary people than “Lost”. "Here's another! - the proud biker answers. - “Angels of Death” is now history!” It can be assumed that, unlike the seasoned fighters of Liberty City, led by San Fierro native Lester Arnold, the Angels on the West Coast were not accustomed to serious armed conflicts. After all, the Angels of Death franchise owns a theme park in Florida and also sells bedding and, sorry, club-branded dildos. Can such an organization compete with the elite of Lost's Aldern branch?

If the fact of the unexpectedly increased number of the Lost club seems strange, then another random event in GTA V. During this incident, the bikers forcefully drag a girl into their van, who is heroically saved by one of the trio of main characters in the game. Subsequently, she will tell you that the bikers hunting for her are her own uncles! It can be assumed that, having seen real hardened criminals such as Johnny, Terry and Clay, most of the aggressive rednecks from Blaine County decided to join the new motorcycle club.

The Lost Club also has two branches on the West Coast. One is located in a trailer park in Stab City, and the second is on the outskirts of Los Santos. However, Clay Simons, who remained in the position of road captain, has a patch on his vest that reads “Los Santos Chapter,” although he goes to Stab City for help. It can be assumed that, by analogy with the branch in Alderney, which nevertheless classified itself as Liberty City, both “chapters” of the motorcycle club in Southern San Andreas are traditionally assigned to Los Santos. Johnny’s own patches look more interesting: one of them still says “Liberty City,” while the title patch reads “Vice President.” Unknown if this is an error Rockstar Games or Johnny really resigned his presidency.

Regardless of his actual position, Johnny's sudden methamphetamine addiction diminished his authority. Some bikers whisper that Johnny was never really fit to be a leader, unlike Billy Gray, whose collaboration with the police is now considered nothing more than a rumor. Trevor, in response to Ron's mention of Johnny's exploits in Alderney, also says that Johnny was a lousy representative for such a serious organization as Lost, particularly due to his involvement with meth and Ashley. It was probably Ashley who forced Johnny to try drugs, just like the girl Sweet from GTA: San Andreas persuaded him to switch to crack. Perhaps Johnny was simply tired of fighting and broke down under the weight of the shocks he had experienced. Or perhaps it was simply his success on the West Coast that allowed him to relax.

However, Johnny, Terry and Clay ultimately fell victim to the unhinged drug dealer Trevor Phillips, whose aggression was ignored for too long. Ashley Butler died some time later from an overdose at a heroin orgy. Perhaps we will learn a little more about the fate of Lost if Rockstar will decide to include Johnny among the employers in GTA Online, but for now this long section of the article is all we have.

Heroes of the past in GTA V, part 2

Any time (but not during a mission). When the character is not being played, he goes about his daily affairs. Some missions in GTA 5 require only one character, some require two, and on some missions three heroes go at once. During missions where the hero is not alone, sometimes it will be necessary to switch. The presence of several characters at once plays an important role in the structure of tasks, which makes the gameplay richer.

In this IGN article, Andrew Goldfab wrote: “During missions, players will be able to combine the efforts of all three characters, each with a different set of skills. For example, during one robbery, Michael climbs down the side of a building while Franklin covers him from afar with a sniper rifle, and Trevor flies nearby in a helicopter. Players can switch back and forth between Michael, who is "rummaging around" inside the building, and Franklin, who is "taking down" enemies. At the end, you can switch to Trevor, pick up everyone and escape by helicopter, or shoot all the enemy pilots as Michael. Well, or drive away in a car, shooting back for Michael.”

Michael De Santa

Very beautiful and varied. Our beloved developers Rockstars Games have introduced three main characters into the game, which we will talk about in detail a little later.

Main characters of GTA 5

Now we will look at each hero of the game in detail. Let's start with Michael.

Michael- one of the main characters of the game - GTA 5. He is about 40 years old. Other gta 5 characters, are not yet known and are questionable. Rockstars says that they may be using characters from previous versions of the game, but they definitely promise that you won't see Niko.

There will definitely be a lot of interesting characters in GTA 5. It is known that the game will have three main characters. This is the first time this has happened in the GTA series. In addition to the protagonists, the game will have many different characters (and even animals) with which the player can interact. Let's look at them in order.

Main characters (Michael, Trevor, Franklin)

From left to right - Trevor, Franklin, Michael

This cheerful trio is what players will have to control in GTA 5. Each of them is interesting and unique in their own way. Can you now imagine what happens when they all get together?

Michael - the guy from the first trailer

Michael is a former criminal. After watching the first trailer, everyone thought it was quite old. But he is only about forty years old. He lives in the prestigious Rockford Hills area of Los Santos under the FBI witness protection program. He has a strained relationship with his wife Amanda. Has two children from her - Tracy and Jimi. He is damn tired of the fuss at home and the damned wife, who constantly squanders all his savings, so Michael decides to return to the “business”, because there are no ex-criminals, right? Trevor is his good friend.

It is very likely that Michael was voiced by little-known actor Ned Luke, and during casting the character's name was Albert De Silva.

Trevor Phillips

Trevor is an experienced criminal. He is about forty years old and lives in the desert region of Blaine County. Trevor hasn't always been a criminal - he's a former military pilot turned drug addict and slightly crazed burglar who lives in a trailer in the desert. Trevor is friends with Michael, because they used to rob banks together.

Trevor probably went to the casting under the code name Simon.

Franklin - the guy in the red car

Franklin is twenty extra years and he lives in the south of Los Santos. When someone can't pay for a loaned car, Franklin steps in. He extracts money from debtors and makes good money from it. Sometimes he meets with his black friends, but only after meeting Michael was he able to look at life from the other side.

Other characters

Amanda

Amanda is Michael's runaway wife and mother of his two children, Tracy and Jimi. She loves to nag her hubby and throw away his money. Amanda is about forty and lives with Michael in the prestigious Rockford Hills area of Los Santos.

Tracey

Tracy is the daughter of Michael and Amanda. She is still a teenager and is studying. She loves everything that girls her age love. But her tattoo right above the soft spot on her back speaks of a wild lifestyle.

Jimmy

Jimmy is the son of Michael and Amanda, and brother of Tracy. Just an ordinary idiot. He smokes dope and does nothing else. Dreams of becoming a real gangster.

Jimmy may have gone by the code name Kevin De Silva during casting.

Ron

Ron is Trevor's paranoid neighbor. He is about fifty years old and a lover of conspiracy theories.

This character may have gone by the code name Nervous Jerry during the casting for GTA 5.

Franklin's Girl

A dark-skinned girl, she looks to be about twenty years old. Most likely, this is Franklin's girlfriend. Franklin loves cars, but she doesn't approve of this love.

Dog Chop

Chop is a Rottweiler and, at the same time, Franklin's best and most devoted friend. Perhaps players will even be given command of Chop during missions.

Lamar

Lamar is about twenty years old and is a friend of Franklin. He's going a little crazy, but it's still fixable.

Woman

This woman could be seen in the Franklin trailer. Perhaps this is some relative of Lamar.

Amanda's Lover

This guy in leopard print shorts jumps off the balcony after Michael and Franklin catch him alone with Amanda.

Juggalo fan

This Juggalo fan was seen in the Trevor trailer. We have already seen him from behind in the second GTA 5 trailer. It is not known who he is, but at the end of the trailer his hand reached for a kitchen knife.

Biker?

This man gets hit in the head with Trevor's baseball bat. Wears a Lost MC jacket. Possibly a member of a Los Santos biker gang.

Chris Formage

Perhaps this is Epsilon Program cult leader Chris Formage.

Lloyd

Maybe this guy's name is Lloyd. He is about 30 years old, quite poor and lives in Blaine County near Trevor.

Vasquez

This stern-faced girl detains Tracy in one of the GTA 5 pieces of art. Her name can be read on her chest badge.

Girl in swimsuit

An unnamed girl in a bikini shows off her iFruit. Unfortunately, we still don't know her name.

Mysterious guy

This strange, serious guy appeared in the second GTA 5 trailer.

Driver

This driver appeared twice in the second GTA 5 trailer, each time in the same car. For some reason he wears a life jacket.

Man in a blue car

A couple of shots from the first trailer show this guy. In one shot, he and the others are robbing a jewelry store, in another, he is driving a blue car with an open top. He looks 40-50 years old. It is likely that this is an early version of Michael.

It is also possible that it is not Michael, but Jeffrey. The casting information says that Jeffrey is a tall and slightly crazy guy with an athletic build.

Characters from other GTA

The Game Informer article confirms that some heroes from GTA 4 will return to GTA 5, but it does not say which ones. It is known for sure that Niko and characters from the PS2 era will not be in the game.

The famous Grand Theft Auto series also features real actors and stars. But, since GTA 5 came out quite recently, I decided to post the lists of actors here, as realistically as possible voiced characters games and main characters, and references encountered in the characters of GTA 5 - on celebrities whose appearance was taken by Rockstar developers without permission.

And I’ll start with perhaps the most recognizable characters - who are also the main characters of the new, fifth part of the Grand Theft Auto series.

Franklin Clinton is one of the main characters and protagonists found in the main plot. The image and voice of Franklin - given by an American actor Shawn Fonteno famous for the film "The Wash".

Next on the list is the equally famous hero of GTA 5 - Trevor Phillips. It also turned out to be a reference to famous actor- however, another actor provided the voice acting for this character. Trevor's face was removed from Jack Nicholson- American film actor, film director, screenwriter and producer. He was also awarded an Oscar and is very popular in Hollywood, although he appears in films less often than before.

Next main character and another one of the three main characters Grand games Theft Auto 5 - Michael De Santa, also known as Michael Townley. To describe him in a nutshell, he is a retired former robber. Just like Trevor Phillips. Michael's face and voice were given by an American actor Ned Luke.

Also found in America is a reference to Jimmy De Santa, the son of Michael Townley and Amanda De Santa. The look and voice of this GTA 5 character was given by an American actor Danny Tamberelli known, perhaps, from old American TV series. So old that they are not even shown on TV today.

Michael Townley's wife - also known as Amanda De Santa - also borrowed her appearance and voice from the famous American actress Vicki Van Tassel. Vicky also starred in the 2010 film Money.

But with Tracy De Santa it turned out to be a scandalous revelation. The fact is that, according to statements famous actress Lindsey Lohan- from which Rockstar unauthorizedly copied the appearance for the loading screens with Tracy de Santa and for the cover where she is arrested by the police - was taken illegally by the developers. Famous Hollywood star so outraged that Rockstar borrowed her appearance for computer game, which now plans to sue the video game studio for a substantial amount in dollar terms. Such an incident does not surprise me at all - since this is not the first case of such arbitrariness of developers.
