« National Unity Day » is a holiday that we celebrate in memory of events that took place many, many years ago. In 1612, Russian warriors Kuzma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky raisedpeople to fight against the enemies who have captured our Motherland. Thanks tounity of the people in this difficult struggle, peace has come to Russia! And grateful descendants erected a monument to these heroes in honor of this victory. You probably saw him when you walked through the most important square of our country - Red Square. The monumentcalled : Kuzma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky.

(The teacher shows the children an illustration of the monument) .

At all times, Russian people loved their homeland. Motherland! Everyone knows this word from childhood. Homeland is the place where you were born, where you live with your parents, with your friends.

November 4 is a major public holiday.

I present to your attention master class on making a greeting card for National Unity Day.

To work we need: cardboard yellow color, a set of colored paper, scissors, PVA glue, glue brush, pencil, scissors, black felt-tip pen, airplane and propeller stencils.

For the postcard we take yellow cardboard measuring 10cm by 23cm.

We trace the airplane stencil onto brown paper and cut it out,

We do the same with the propeller, using red paper. We cut out three portholes from white paper.

For the national flag, we cut out three stripes (white, blue and red) of equal width and length.

Now we glue everything sequentially onto cardboard, as in the photo.

We connect the flag and the plane - draw strings with a black felt-tip pen.

We print out a congratulatory poem and beautiful inscription“Happy holiday!” on green paper.

Then we cut out “Happy Holidays!” with curly scissors. and carefully glue it to the front side.

And the poem is on the other hand.

The holiday card is ready! The guys and I made these cards for our parents for the holiday.

I will be glad if my idea is useful to someone!

Congratulations on National Unity Day

Alone in the field is not a warrior - we are told from childhood,
And together peoples must resist misfortunes.
After all, life is so joyful and the world is so endless,
When under the huge sun you know that you are not alone.
Let a good deed argue, uniting hearts,
Let friendship unite both countries and cities,
And the children laugh together, and joy runs forward,
And success and love will come to the people of the big planet.

We wish everyone health, happiness, prosperity, peaceful skies above their heads and everything, all the best!

Happy holiday!!!

history of the holiday

October 22 (November 1, as used by the Poles Gregorian calendar) in 1612, militia fighters led by Kuzma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky took Kitay-gorod by storm, the garrison of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth retreated to the Kremlin. Prince Pozharsky entered Kitai-Gorod with Kazan icon Mother of God and vowed to build a temple in memory of this victory. On October 26 (November 5 according to the Gregorian calendar), the command of the interventionist garrison signed a capitulation, releasing the Moscow boyars and other nobles from the Kremlin at the same time. The next day the garrison surrendered. At the end of February 1613 Zemsky Sobor elected Mikhail Romanov, the first Russian Tsar of the Romanov dynasty, as the new Tsar.

In 1649, by decree of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich, on the occasion of the birth on the holiday of the “miraculous icon of Kazan, during the all-night singing,” the heir to the throne, Tsarevich Dimitri, day of the Kazan icon Mother of God , October 22 (old style), was declared a public holiday, which was celebrated for three centuries until 1917.

According to Orthodox church calendar on this day the “Celebration of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God (in memory of the deliverance of Moscow and Russia from the Poles in 1612)” is celebrated, falling on October 22 according to the Julian calendar. Due to the increase in the difference between the Gregorian and Julian calendars over the past centuries, this day has shifted to November 4th. It is this date - October 22 according to the Julian calendar or November 4 according to the Gregorian calendar - that was chosen as the day of the public holiday.
