Argus storyline

… or not.

Blizzard has confirmed that immediately after the launch of Patch 7.3, players will need to complete the introductory scenario in the Broken Isles to access the Argus storyline. This scenario is account-specific, so it will be enough to complete it with one character.

This decision is due to the fact that the journey to Argus is plot-related to the events on the Broken Isles and in the Tomb of Sargeras. Once you complete the scenario on the Broken Isles, Khadgar will offer you the quest Hand of Fate (Alliance) / Hand of Fate (Horde), which will lead you to Argus.

This is enough unusual solution, as players who have missed content that has already been released will not be able to access Argus - they will first have to complete the Broken Isles storyline. So it's possible that Blizzard will make changes to their plans in the future.

Now regarding the Argus plot:

The Crown of the Triumvirate consists of three parts: one of them is kept by the Prophet Velen, and the other two, the Seal of Awakening and the Crown of Knowledge, are to be found by players as they progress through the story.

After the restoration of the Crown, the Vindicare will begin to operate at full capacity, which will allow them to break through the wall of Antorus, the Burning Throne and launch a full-fledged attack along with the combined forces of the Army of Light. At the end of Antorus, Argus the Unmaker, the leader of the local demons, awaits you.

Side quest lines

Class Hall Improvements

Update 7.3 will introduce several improvements to the Class Hall, available after completing the side storyline in Krokuun. Like the main storyline, these side quests are divided into 3 weeks.

As you unlock quests, you'll have access to upgrading your Champion gear to level 950 and recruiting special types of troops in exchange for Class Hall Resources.

To make it easier to manage the Class Hall, a Tactical Map has been added to the game in Vindicare.

Corrupted Heart of Argus

In addition, there is a small quest chain with a unique reward - the Corrupted Heart of Argus, the power of the Vindicare Matrix Core. Obtaining this ability is necessary to complete the Ready to Fight! achievement. .

Landscape of Argus

Argus, being essentially the territory of the Legion, looks quite apocalyptic - demons guard their bases throughout Krokuun, Mac'Aree and the Antoran Wastes. In Argus you can see many unusual phenomena - tornadoes, periodically erupting volcanoes, and so on.

Instead of the Healer of Souls, the First Naaru serves in the cemetery, and a Legion warship called Paraxius periodically shoots enemies on the surface of Argus.

New materials

  • Empyreite - to make it easier to obtain, the Krokul Pickaxe was added to the game. To speed up sifting, Sketch has been introduced: Empyreite Mass Sifting
  • Astral bindweed - a Technique has been added to speed up grinding: mass grinding of astral bindweed
  • Primal Sargerite is the version of the Blood of Sargeras on the world of Argus. Used in various professions, and also traded with Trader Kelen in Dalaran (Broken Isles). You can obtain this ingredient through world quests, mining professions, alchemical transmutation, and completing Class Hall missions.

A number of new recipes have also been added for all existing professions, most of which can be purchased from merchants in Vindicare. A new mount has been introduced for anglers - Pond Wren.

Detailed information about changes in each profession can be found in the Overview of Professions in Patch 7.3.

Navigating Argus

To speed up travel between new locations in Argus, a network of teleports (beacons) controlled from the Vindicaar is used. As you progress through the main storyline, new teleportation capabilities will open up to you. In addition, you can use the Krokul Flute or Wormhole Generator: Argus.

Patch 7.3 will take you far from the Broken Isles, and there is no direct connection between them and Argus. If all your options are to return home on cooldown, but you really need to move to the Broken Isles, try the following option: run to the nearest lighthouse on Argus > teleport to Vindicare > use the portal to Dalaran > you are there. The portal to Dalaran is located on the lower level of the Vindicare.

Dungeons and Raids of Argus

Argus has 1 dungeon for 5 people (Seat of the Triumvirate) and the raid Antorus, the Burning Throne.

  • Throne of the Triumvirate is only available in Heroic+ mode.
    • It has 4 bosses with a drop of level 865+ in the “heroic+” mode and 885+ in the “mythic” mode.
    • The entrance to the dungeon is located far to the west of Mac'Aree.
    • To access the Seat of the Triumvirate, you will need to complete Chapter 3: War of Light and Darkness.
    • The dungeon will become available for completion in week #3.
  • There will be 11 bosses in Antorus, the Burning Throne.
    • Item level: 915+ (Raid Finder), 930+ (Normal), 945+ (Heroic) and 960+ (Mythic).
    • For achieving Mythic mode: Argus the Unmaker, you will be given the title “defeated a titan”. The reward for achieving Glory of the Argus Raider will be a Twilight Hound from Antorus.
    • The entrance to Antorus is located in the southwest of the Antoran Wastes.
    • Please note that Antorus will be closed after the release of update 7.3 – it is planned to open on patch 7.3.5.

Argus Base: Vindicare

The only thing is relatively safe place throughout Argus is a draenei ship called the Vindicare, built specifically for such a mission. On board you can find everything you need - profession teachers, merchants, teleports, etc.

It is from the Vindicaar that you can quickly move between locations of Argus (as you progress through the main story). Once you complete the storyline, the ship will turn golden, meaning it is operating at full capacity to assist you in your mission on Argus.

With more detailed description The ship and its capabilities can be found in the Vindicare Guide in 7.3.

Matrix Core

On board the Vindicaar there is a unique mechanism - the Matrix Core, which allows you to use a number of abilities that are very helpful in battles on the surface of Argus.

A complete list of these abilities and their detailed description can be found in the article about Vindicare (link just above).

Netherlight Crucible

Another unique creation of the draenei is the Netherlight Crucible, which allows you to improve your Artifact. The Crucible will become available for interaction after completing An Offering of Shadow, which opens in Week 3 of Patch 7.3.

Unlocking the Netherlight Crucible applies to the entire account, so you don't have to repeat the same tasks with each character.

Invasion points on Argus

Patch 7.3 brings a new type of scenario to the game - Invasion Points. In the story, Invasion Points are a network of portals used by the Legion to penetrate other worlds.

There are a total of 6 Invasion Points throughout Argus, each such point has character traits And appearance. Important point– only one Invasion Point can be active at one time. The Active Point will be marked on the map, so players are unlikely to miss it.

The battle scenario at each Point is designed for 2-3 players, although there are no strict restrictions - you can go through it either solo or as part of a group of 2-10 people. In addition, you can join other players at the moment when they have already completed part of the scenario.

After destroying the local boss, you have a chance to loot a number of useful items for upgrading the Artifact, gold and other valuables. Additionally, you receive an Argus Waystone, which can be used to complete weekly missions like Invasion Point Offensive. There is also a separate achievement, which requires killing all mini-bosses of the Invasion Points - Foreseeing the Collapse of the Invasion.

To access Invasion Points, you must complete Chapter 2: Dark Awakening. Points will open in the second week of the update.

World bosses of Argus

On Argus you can find 6 new world bosses. Like the Broken Isles, these bosses appear once a week, with only one of them spawning at a time. These bosses are only available within Massive Invasion Points. Loot level – 930+. Naturally, there is an achievement that requires the destruction of all world bosses - Invasion Collapse.

To gain access to Massive Invasion Points, you must first unlock regular Invasion Points, accumulate 15 Argus Waystones, and then complete the Invasion Point Offensive mission, which is a continuation.

This is what an invasion point looks like

New factions

2 new factions will appear in the game with their own unique stories, quartermasters and excellent rewards.

Army of Light

The Great Army of Light, which is also known as the Army of Light, united in its ranks the best fighters who dedicated their lives to the fight against the Burning Legion and want to destroy it once and for all.

Defenders of Argus

New currency and equipment

Smoky argunite

Important Note: A character cannot have more than 1500 pieces of Smoky Argunite in stock.

Argus Waystones

As mentioned earlier, The best way obtain Waystones of Argus - passing Invasion Points. Also, sometimes Waystones are given out as rewards for world quests. The upper threshold of Argus Waystones a character has is 40.

Equipment

There are 2 new types of equipment in the game:

The first type is Discarded Equipment, already mentioned earlier. Sold by Miracle Worker Vashrin for 650x Smokey Argunite/piece. For the first time, it will be possible to purchase Discarded Tokens separately for each type of relic.

  • Typically, Dropped Tokens are converted into level 910+ epic items for your current spec.
  • Dropped tokens can also be converted into Tomb of Sargeras items or Season 5 PvP gear (Legion).
  • And finally, Discarded tokens can become legendary equipment(including legendary items from update 7.2.5).
  • /way 6 48.0– in the center of the cave with spiders
  • /way 84.3 21.3 – cave of Houndmaster Kerrax
  • /way 9 66.8– at the end of the Armory Hellfire

Location of altars

When you click on the altar, the buff Envoy of the All-Seer will appear on you, and you will also instantly lose 90% of your maximum health. Thus, if you have less than 90% health when you use the altar, you will die.

While the buff is active on you, you can collect Intact Demon Eyes from any mob marked as "Demon". The drop rate has not yet been determined - you can kill a dozen mobs and not knock out a single eye, or 10 eyes may drop from two demons.

While you are under the effect of “Messenger of the All-Seer”, you are considered an enemy of the Army of Light, so you will not be able to use teleports and other services of this faction.

Oryx the All-Seeing himself can be found in a small cave under the bridge leading to the “Pit of Punishment” area. The exact coordinates are /way 59.56 44.98. Oryx offers several tasks for converting collected eyes:

How many eyes does it take?

Treasure Chests

Patch 7.3 introduced a new type of treasure chest - Eredar War Supplies. They can be found throughout Argus, and work in the same way as the Hidden Parselmouth Caches of the Broken Isles.

Regular loot for the chest: items that increase the Power of the artifact, several units

Shooter - type computer games, which can be briefly described by the words “weapon” and “ammo”. Over time, shooters became a fairly flexible type of game, and their virtual worlds increasingly immersed players in themselves. The genre managed to give rise to several subgenres, which began to contain not only elements of shooting, but also many other interesting features, for example, driving various vehicles. As a rule, all shooters often feature at least two key features: 1) Actually, shooting from various weapons; 2) A certain type of movement. From the perspective of the player or the object being shot at. The gameplay of shooters is often linear and predictable, the levels are somewhat similar to each other. But for variety, developers sometimes add some new elements. For example, opponents may behave differently, or you may have to use some completely different weapon. And in order for you to want to play through shooters more than once, various secrets and Easter eggs are added to the game.

Shooter subgenres

In first person shooters you watch everything gameplay through the eyes of the character and therefore the emphasis in such games is on your shooting skill. In third-person shooters, you can completely see your character from behind. Here you usually see more of the environment and, in addition to shooting, you need to interact with it in every possible way. An example of such games can be called.

History of shooters

Maze (1973) is one of the first shooters that defined the main features of the genre, but still had very limited functionality. But over time, the genre develops, developers use more complex graphics, and therefore such series of games as Doom (1993) and Half-life (1998) are born. These shooters not only became legendary, but also consolidated the main features that we are used to seeing in shooters today.

Hi all. Today I will tell you how to find all the hidden treasure chests on Argus to get the Shoot Now, Loot Later achievement. In addition to the achievement, you can get about 1000 smoky argunite, artifact power, epic equipment and items for transmogrification from them. First, prepare for your search. To do this, I recommend installing the tom tom and paste addons. Tom tom shows the location of a point with the specified coordinates, and paste allows you to insert several points into a volume at once. In each location, you need to insert only the points of that particular location, and not all at once. Otherwise, addons will not work correctly. And when inserting coordinates into paste, you must be located directly on the surface of the location, and not on the Vindicaar. Links to addons and coordinates are in the description under the video.

There are 22 chests in total. Chests are not displayed on the map (unless special addons are installed), and those that are displayed are ordinary chests; they are not needed to obtain the achievement. Some of the chests are hidden in caves with blocked entrances. The entrance to them can be cleared using the Vindicaar’s “Justice of Light” ability (if the crystal is in the rubble yellow color). Other chests are obtained using either the Magic Shroud (purple crystal above the chest) or the Lightforged Exoskeleton (blue crystal on the blocked entrance). All abilities are taken on the Vindicare. Almost all blocked passages can be reached with a mage's blink or similar abilities of other classes, which significantly speeds up the search. In addition, I recommend taking the Goblin Glider Assembly Kit with you in order to get to three hard-to-reach chests.
