It is very difficult for all of us to combine work, household chores and leisure, especially for women who have a lot to do. Therefore, I’ll tell you how to cook so that it doesn’t take much time and is tasty, and also filling. And this dish is mivina salad. Although it sounds very meager and cheap, this is only the first impression.

When I was first recommended to cook, how light snack, I was indignant and thought that it was not worth wasting time on such an extraordinary dish, but one day I tried it and realized that I was mistaken in my sudden conclusions. So never judge at first sight, by the way, which is what I did before, but this is a gross mistake.

Salad with mivina, of course, is not suitable for a festive table or receiving guests, since it is too simple, but for a family dinner, as an additional side dish, it will be very useful. It can be served not only with the main course, but also as a “lonely” dish, because the salad contains enough calories to stay awake throughout the whole working day. For example, I prefer to take with me to work mivina salad, it is very comfortable.

But, it should be noted that the salad with mivina does not last long, or rather, it loses its original taste qualities, if it costs more than three hours. I recommend eating it immediately after cooking, it’s even tastier.

Let's start cooking, so let's list necessary products that are included in the salad:

  • Sausage – 300 gr.;
  • Mivina – 3 packs;
  • Eggs – 6 pcs.;
  • Corn – 400 gr.;
  • Onion – 1 pc.;
  • Mayonnaise – 400 gr.;
  • Salt - to taste.

The first thing to do is wash the eggs, pour warm water and set to cook for about three minutes, hard-boiled. Then fill cold water for further ease of cleaning. Let them cool and cut them into small cubes and place them in a deep salad bowl.

After the eggs, let's start steaming the mivina, pour the mivina into a deep container, chop it (mivina purchased in a package in a store) and pour boiling water (about 200 ml) and cover with a lid for about 5 minutes.

At this time, we will continue cooking, namely, we will cut the boiled sausage into small cubes and send it to the salad bowl.
Let's take an onion small size and chop it very finely to give the salad with mivina sharpness and sharpness.

Mivina is already steamed, check that there is no unabsorbed water and mix thoroughly. Then add in the rest of the ingredients.

All that's left is to pour in the corn. We chose canned in a jar, so we pour the excess liquid from the jar and pour it into a salad bowl.

I have country (homemade) eggs, they are small, so I added 5 eggs to the salad, if you bought large eggs, you can take 3-4 eggs.

Eggs should be hard boiled. Cool, peel and cut into cubes. You can do this with a sharp knife or use an egg slicer.

If the eggs are fresh, then when you boil them, add a spoonful of salt to the water, then they will clean well.

I pour boiling water over the vermicelli (in a plate) for 3-5 minutes, no more. Try to keep the entire semi-finished product covered with water. You can additionally cover it with a lid, saucer or plate.

I don't add any spices. I throw them away. But if you like, you can add spices. After 3-5 minutes, place the noodles in a colander and let the liquid drain, since we don’t need water in the salad.

The vermicelli should be cooled as it will be hot. For salad, I chop it finely on a cutting board. Or you can grind it dry before pouring. I just forgot to do it, so I had to chop it on the board. We don’t often use these kinds of semi-finished products.

I pour the semi-finished products into a bowl in which I will season the salad with mayonnaise. Next, I cut the crab sticks into cubes.

In fact, it doesn’t matter in what order you cut the ingredients, because we will mix them anyway. The main thing is to cut it beautifully and neatly. There is nothing complicated about cutting crab sticks; cut them into cubes.

I add crab to the rest of the ingredients. Next I cut fresh cucumbers. Even though it’s winter here, and I try to buy fresh vegetables in season, I still thought it would be appropriate to add a fresh cucumber for this salad.

You can try without cucumber or substitute cucumber, which should be cut into small cubes. It also turns out very tasty, and also cheaper.

Well, in my case it’s a fresh cucumber.

I will also finely chop the green onions. I got about 30 grams. Onions will add some piquancy to the salad. But, again, if you don’t like green onions, you can replace them with pickled ones, or cook without them.

I use canned corn. Be sure to drain all the liquid from the jar by placing it in a colander, or simply turning the jar upside down. Whatever is more convenient for you.

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl: crab sticks, green onions, eggs, Mivina, corn, fresh cucumbers. Season the salad with mayonnaise. I used 67%, but you can use mayonnaise of any fat content (whatever you like) or prepare it.

If you think there is not enough mayonnaise, then add more. It was quite enough for us. Mix the salad ingredients.

At this point I will accept. If you love Mivina and want to see and taste it, then add another pack of noodles. In total, for this amount of ingredients you will get not 60 grams, but 120 grams of vermicelli.

You can serve and decorate the salad as you wish. But before serving, I recommend cooling the salad in the refrigerator for about 30-40 minutes.

You can decorate the salad in a salad bowl, decorating it with herbs and additional ingredients of your choice (cucumber, nuts, berries, herbs, olives, etc.)

Today I wanted to serve the salad in portions, decorating it with a split ring, garnishing it with herbs and frozen cranberries.

If you are not going to serve mivina salad with crab sticks immediately after cooking, then it is better not to season it with mayonnaise. Season just before serving.

The shelf life of a salad dressed with mayonnaise is no more than 12 hours; if the salad is not dressed with mayonnaise, it can stand for a day. Although, according to GOST, salads dressed with mayonnaise can generally be stored for no more than 6 hours. But we often forget about this.
