Therefore, we will do most of the work on preparation and in the kitchen during the week, and on December 31 we will pay attention to hairstyle, manicure, roller coaster rides, and a trip to the main Christmas tree of the city. And only an hour before setting the table will you spend in the kitchen. Each menu and shopping list can be downloaded in a separate file for printing, so you don’t forget to take it with you to the store. In addition, the list is divided into 2 parts. The first is products that you can buy in advance, a week before the holiday. After all, there will be no crowds in stores these days. The second part is what you need to buy the day before the holiday. This section includes perishable items. I specifically do not include side dishes on the menu, because... they greatly complicate the night's feast. If you think you can’t do without them, add them yourself. I also do not indicate fruit, vegetable, meat and cheese cuts. I also advise you to avoid fruit and vegetable salads, which will quickly leak and lose their appearance. Whether they are worth adding is your decision. In the meantime, choose what you like and have a happy New Year 2017!

Romantic New Year's Eve menu for two


The main feature of creating such a menu for the New Year is to remember that the dishes are only a small part of your romance. Focus on creating a romantic atmosphere, your appearance And good mood. You can safely go to the salon on December 31, get your hair done, manicure, take a walk and enjoy the anticipation of the upcoming holiday. Cooking plan:

I tried to plan the time as much as possible so that you wouldn’t worry about missing something and wouldn’t be distracted from the New Year’s mood.

  1. A week before: We buy everything we need on the first part of the shopping list. We set aside an evening and make sweets. You can safely store them in the refrigerator. Place the candies in a plastic or glass container to prevent them from absorbing the smell of other foods.
  2. December 30th:
    • Prepare cheese cream for canapés and dry the bread. Substitute saltine crackers for the bread if desired. Prepare 1/4 of the ingredients for the cream cheese recipe. 8 crackers are enough.
    • Cut turkey fillet (chicken if desired) into two portions and beat. Salt and pepper. Place in a container or wrap in cling film and put it in the refrigerator.
    • If you are using frozen shrimp, transfer them from the freezer to the refrigerator so that they defrost properly.
  3. 31th of December:
    • Cooking turkey fillet with sauce. To serve the fillet burn, we do this. While we fry the fillet, turn on the oven and heat to 180 degrees. Transfer the fillets to a ceramic or glass baking dish, cover with foil and place in the oven. After 5 minutes, turn off the oven and the fillet will finish cooking on its own. It can stay there for 20-30 minutes. If you don’t have an oven, cook according to the recipe, but cover the finished fillet on a plate with a hot frying pan lid. If the fillet has cooled before serving, use the microwave. And only then pours the sauce on it.
    • Prepare the shrimp sauce, pour in the shrimp. Slice the tomatoes. We are preparing canapés. All together it will take 20 minutes.
    • Prepare turkey sauce. 10 minutes.
    • Mix the salad right before serving. 2 minutes.
    • Let's get some candy.
    • Set the table, fix your hair, welcome the New Year!

Cooking plan:

For such a menu, it is better to allocate 2 hours for preparing food on December 30th. In fact, there is very little cooking and cutting the Olivier will take you the most time.

  1. December 30th.
    • Boil potatoes, eggs, breast for Olivier salad and eggs for fish pate.
    • Let's prepare the cake. Let the cake cool, decorate it and top it with yogurt tomorrow.
    • Slice Olivier. We don't season Olivier!
    • Preparing fish pate.
    • Pass the meat through a meat grinder into minced meat. Fry onions and mushrooms for meatloaf. Do not mix, place separately in the refrigerator.

    Total time- 2 hours. I recommend involving children in peeling eggs and potatoes. And perhaps my husband for cutting Olivier. You will need about half of the fish pate, so you can safely use the second half for breakfast the next day (spread on sandwiches).

  2. 31th of December.
    • Let's start by preparing the meatloaf. Let's form a meat loaf, but we won't put it in the oven, but set it aside. I recommend sending it to bake an hour before the start of the feast, so that it is hot. 20 minutes.
    • Take out the cake and decorate with yogurt. I buy ready-made sugar figures in the form of snowflakes or decorate as in the recipe. 15 minutes.
    • Drain the liquid from the olives and mozzarella and make the appetizer on skewers. I recommend entrusting this part to children, then you will spend 5 minutes.
    • Place fish paste on crackers. Let's decorate. 10 minutes.
    • Prepare mayonnaise and season Olivier salad. 10 minutes.

As you can see, it will only take you an hour to prepare on December 31st. If you want, you can form the meatloaf in the morning and put it in the refrigerator. This will further reduce the preparation time before the holiday.

If you have a little more time, you can bake truffle cake. He's truly amazing. Cakes for it can be prepared 3-5 days before the holiday. If you have 1-2 more guests, choose one of the New Year's salads.

Menu for a company of 8 people


If you are going to celebrate with a large group, you want to surprise your guests and not inflate your budget. So I put together a relatively budget-friendly menu. The main thing with this option is not to cook a lot of dishes, but simply increase the quantity of each. You can also ask one of the guests to help with cooking. Or ask to bring some of the salads or cake with you. The main emphasis in this menu is not only on its budget, but also on the fact that on the 31st you will only need to put the finishing touches on it. And you'll still only spend an hour cooking. I quite boldly suggest that you include barley salad in the New Year’s menu for your company instead of the usual Olivier salad. And for those who don’t like salads with mayonnaise - potato salad. It can also serve as a kind of side dish. The number of ingredients for the salad does not need to be increased; there will be enough for each guest. but make boiled pork from a piece of meat at the rate of about 150 grams per person. For a sweet end to the evening, I suggest buying tangerines and sweets for the cake. The recipe makes a cake for about 8 people.

Cooking plan:

  1. In 3-4 days. We bake cake layers for the Pinscher cake. Please note that for such a large company you need to take a double portion of the recipe ingredients. We also make cake layers for the mushroom snack cake.
  2. December 30th.
    • Boil vegetables for appetizers with anchovy and salads.
    • We cut the salads, but do not put onions in them or season them.
    • We clean the anchovies (anchovies) and put them in a glass container with a lid. Lightly spray the anchovy with oil to prevent it from drying out.
    • We marinate the boiled pork.
    • Make the cream for the cake and prepare the Pinscher cake.
    • Assembling a snack cake with mushrooms.

I combined these two menu options into one. Those who observe Lent may not celebrate the New Year at all. But still, many celebrate it symbolically. Vegetable cabbage rolls can be prepared a couple of weeks before the holiday.

Cooking plan:

  1. A week before. Preparing vegetable cabbage rolls. We stand for 3-4 days at room temperature and put it in the refrigerator. The cabbage rolls generally take about an hour or two to prepare, depending on your ability to roll cabbage rolls.
  2. In 3-4 days. Preparing Lenten cookies with marmalade. Let the finished cookies cool and put them in an airtight box. Total cooking time is about 1.5 hours.
  3. 31th of December.
    • Let's start by preparing the salad. If you use attachments for a meat grinder, food processor or blender to grate vegetables, everything will take about 15 minutes. If there are no attachments, to speed up the process, ask your children or husband to help grate the vegetables.
    • Let's prepare risotto. About 40 minutes. Don't forget that this is a dish that needs to be stirred constantly.

If desired, replace the cookies with a meatless cinnamon almond roll. If you can eat fish on this day or want to replace some of the recipes, take a look at the recipes for Lent. During the Nativity Fast of 2014-2015, on December 31st you can eat fish, but on January 1st - only hot dishes with vegetable oil. Many people believe that in addition to fish, you can eat all kinds of seafood, so perhaps you can include salads with them in the New Year's menu for fasting people. What will I cook for the New Year's table?

Everything is simple with my New Year's menu. I will be celebrating the New Year with my family - my husband, daughter, parents and our godfather. I really hope that this year he won’t come on his own. I will use the menu above for the New Year for a family of 4 as the basis for the menu. I’ll just calculate the amount of meatloaf so that there will be left for breakfast. For each person, I will calculate 200 grams of pork (raw, before processing) for New Year's Eve. + 200 grams * 3 for brunch or rather lunch on January 1 for me, my husband and daughter. Plus I'll add another salad because... There will be 5-6 adults + a 12 year old daughter. What's left of the salad will also be used for brunch the next day.

If unexpected guests drop by, I will have fruit, candy, something for cutting meat and cheese, pickled plums, cucumbers, tomatoes - in general, something that can very quickly be put on the table as a light snack. Because From experience, after 12 at night, guests come from the table and don’t really eat anything. But I don’t want to prepare a lot.
