Children's playrooms - a step-by-step instruction from 6 stages + a list of the most profitable areas for playrooms.

Capital investments: from 300,000 rubles.
Payback: in 7-9 months

Businessmen know that one of the most profitable business areas is entertainment for children.

The most popular among them are photo shoots, holidays, as well as playrooms for children.

The latter can be placed anywhere: from shopping malls to airports.

The most important thing in this business is never to install cheap equipment so as not to harm the health of children, and also not to save on toys so that little visitors always have something to play with.

We will deal with the rest of the details of organizing a business further.

How to start a game room business?

In order for the game room to become a full-fledged business that brings considerable income, you need to go through the following stages of preparation:

  1. Register as an entrepreneur.
  2. Study the regulatory framework in the region.
  3. Familiarize yourself with federal regulations regarding children's play equipment.
  4. To study the laws that relate to liability for harming the health of babies.
  5. Familiarize yourself with fire safety requirements.
  6. Issue medical books to staff.

1. Paperwork.

For a game room, you need to go through the following steps so that the business is completely legal:

  • registration as individual entrepreneur or a legal entity (the first option is still recommended, because in this situation the IP has some bonuses);
  • select the OKVED code - as a rule, 92.7;
  • registration in pension and off-budget funds;
  • purchase of a cash register and equipment, which is selected according to the requirements of Rospotrebnadzor and the fire safety inspection;
  • but no additional licensing is required.

2. Market analysis.

If there are already similar playgrounds where you plan to do business, you can visit them in working time, as a client, analyze their shortcomings and draw on the experience of competitors.

An effective way to test the profitability of this area is questionnaires for parents - by conducting a couple of surveys in a certain area, you can find out if there are many children there and how often they play in public places.

To ensure that the investment is not in vain, such a type of business as a playroom for children must be carefully studied.

To begin with, you should conduct a survey of parents and residents of a particular area where the opening of the site is planned.

Then you should find out which age group prefers which games.

3. Equipment for a children's playroom.

For each area, specific equipment is offered.

Production and installation of a standard complex takes 2-3 weeks.

To make all the details of a playroom in a certain thematic style, for example, based on a cartoon, it will take from 5 weeks.

The target audience is only children - therefore, the safety of the equipment must be thought first of all.

Game labyrinths with different obstacles for all ages are in great demand.

This is a solid metal structure for 2-4 floors, equipped with a variety of game and educational elements.

The choice of equipment for filling the game labyrinth is huge, among them are:

  • slide with a dry pool;
  • trampoline;
  • slide with a turn or double;
  • obstacle strips with hanging, protruding and rotating soft elements;
  • braided tunnels.

In addition to game labyrinths, you should take care of areas for a relaxing pastime, where you can draw or play with interactive panels.

Such equipment does not take up much space, but requires the constant availability of consumables (paper and stationery).

4. Rules of conduct for visitors.

To date, there are no official requirements regarding the organization of a children's playroom.

However, there are regulatory documents to regulate the work of children's institutions.

The most important requirements are:

  • If a child has noticed colds, do not let him into the territory of the playroom.
  • A child can spend no more than 4 hours in the playroom.
  • Children under 3 years of age must be supervised by their parents.
  • If a child misbehaves, parents should pick him up after warning the playroom employee.
  • Children can be in the playroom only in changeable shoes, and in labyrinths - without shoes.

These are not definitive rules for visiting the game room, they may vary depending on what equipment is used and how much space it occupies.

Where can children's playrooms be opened?

Where the playroom for children will be located will affect the amount of regular income.

Therefore, you should carefully consider all possible options in advance.

The most profitable places are where there are many children who are potential customers.

Of the most profitable and visited areas, it is worth highlighting:

  • shops specializing in the sale of children's goods;
  • sleeping areas where there are few playgrounds;
  • shopping centers.

Not all malls can achieve a high level of attendance if they are located in a remote area or offer a poor range of goods.

The largest flow of customers is observed near branded retailers.

Here, people spend a lot of time thinking about what things to buy, and children do not like to wait long while their parents choose for a long time.

On weekends, traffic in a shopping center can be up to 100 people a day, on weekdays it is half as much - 30-40.

If you want your room to accommodate more than 10 visitors, you should choose a room from 20 sq. meters.

Which state requires a playroom for kids?

Still in the process, you need to start looking for staff.

All employees must keep order and cleanliness, prevent damage to property and not hide proceeds.

If the applicant inspires confidence, has a wealth of experience working with kids in his resume, you can offer him a vacancy.

You can hire the following applicants:

  • students;
  • housewife moms;
  • young pensioners.

A big advantage is the presence of pedagogical education.

In the state, not counting the head, 1-3 people can work in shifts, provided that the game room does not occupy a large area.

If desired, animators can be invited to the game room who will entertain and play with children so that they do not get bored.

In addition to the basic salary, employees can receive a certain percentage of the total revenue - 2-5%.

Thus, the employee is motivated to earn more money and will offer additional services to parents.

To clean the premises, you can invite an employee from a cleaning company on an hourly basis - this allows you to save some money.

How much does it cost to open a children's playroom?

It is noteworthy that one-time capital investments are enough for such a business.

Further expenses are associated only with promotion and advertising, as well as repair work of the playground.

For example, the costs for opening a children's playroom with an area of 40 sq.m are given:

An example of how you can equip a children's playroom is presented in the video:

How quickly do playrooms for children pay off?

The income from a children's room can be different and depend on the number of visitors, as well as demand.

After all, it is known that in the summer season there are much more children in open areas and streets.

In addition to the main service (placement of children in rooms), you can offer many additional services that double the revenue.

For example, the organization of children's carnivals, holidays and birthdays.

For such events, you need to develop invitations, scenarios and menus - this can be done both independently and ordered from event agencies.

The tastes of children with the development of technology often change.

Children's playrooms will bring in significantly more revenue if you regularly add new elements, change equipment and open up new spaces.

In this way, the children's interest will always be kept and they will be frequent customers.

The easiest way to open a children's studio is to buy.

But if you still want to do it yourself - we suggest you step by step instructions from a SandLand expert.

Business on children has recently become more and more popular. There are several reasons for this - firstly, the trend for the early development of children captures the minds of an increasing number of parents. Almost from the very birth of a baby, mothers and fathers think about how to develop the creative abilities of their child, how to make him smarter and more educated, how to contribute to the full and multifaceted development of the individual.

This issue is especially acute for parents of children aged 3 to 5 years. It is at this age that any parent tries to invest the maximum in the development of the child, enrolling him in various sports sections and creative circles, schools of dance, music, etc. If a few years ago the number of proposals to spend children's leisure time with benefit was limited to sections and circles of city centers for children's creativity, as well as specialized art, music and choreographic schools, today the situation is changing radically.

Now the children's leisure industry and early development represented by private children's studios, which offer more competitive services compared to municipal institutions. Moreover, the very approach to children, their development and education is fundamentally different from the usual approach of the "Soviet" school. In such children's studios, the goal is not to make Tchaikovsky or Maya Plisetskaya out of a child by any means, even against the desire and capabilities of the child himself. Children's studios use a more loyal and flexible approach, teach in a playful way, develop creative abilities without judgment or coercion, primarily caring about the moral and psychological state of children.

Another reason for the popularity of the business on children is that the sphere of children's services is quite rich in business ideas that can be implemented with minimal investment and a great desire to work for yourself and develop your business. Naturally, at the initial stage of the children's studio, you will have to devote a lot of time and effort. But at the same time, a children's studio as a business can combine both profit and satisfaction and pleasure from activities.

The very idea of a children's studio business, as well as most business ideas related to children, primarily attracts women, especially young and active mothers who completely rethink their lives after having children. That is why the majority of the owners of the children's studio are women. It is they who, after the birth of a child, themselves face needs and problems for the solution of which they themselves would not mind paying. But having not found an option suitable for certain criteria (comfort, location, level of service, direction or pricing policy), they decide to open their own business.

Read on to find out what needs to be done to open your own children's studio, how to start a business with children step by step and start earning and developing.

Investment size

A children's studio is a good option for a novice businessman, including for the reason that investments in opening it are quite small. This is an extremely important parameter for the first business.

With a certain resourcefulness, when opening a children's studio, it is quite possible to meet the initial investment of 200-250 thousand rubles. Although, of course, the amount will largely depend on how much the rent of the premises will cost, how much you will spend on repairs and equipment, what consumables you will purchase, what kind of teachers you will hire.

Calculate all the expected expense items and, just in case, put in a little more money to start than you need. This will allow you to relatively painlessly survive the first months of the crisis, when the pool of clients is just recruiting.

Where to get money?

But even a small amount of money for the initial investment needs to be taken somewhere. The ideal source of investment is your own savings. By investing your money in a business, you will significantly reduce the risks, and there will be much less stress: no debts that need to be repaid with interest, no additional monthly expenses (and they are already high for a young business), no credit obligations hanging over you sword of Damocles.

But not everyone has the means to start. But almost everyone has relatives and friends who can be resorted to. Although there is still a risk of spoiling the relationship.

But a bank loan is a last resort. It is fraught with overpayments, and even recently banks are not particularly willing to issue loans. If you are going to invest very little money in a small business, you can use a credit card that gives you the opportunity to pay no interest if you manage to return the money within three months.

You can also count on government assistance in the form of a subsidy. Practice shows that it is quite possible to receive material support from the authorities. But for this you will have to be patient: from year to year, the procedure for obtaining funds is becoming more and more difficult.

It is especially difficult to get a grant in big cities and the bureaucracy is to blame. Even if you are full of enthusiasm, it can completely evaporate in the process of collecting all required documents. And the chances of getting financial support from the state are not one hundred percent.

In small towns, the situation with obtaining funds is somewhat easier. But regardless of the size of the city, there are still certain risks. Even if the grant for your project is approved, you may not see the money. There are cases when businessmen are simply deceived.

Step-by-step instruction

After you have identified the demand for your studio and found the money to open it, you need to think over the corporate identity. This is important for any business, there can be no exceptions here. Even the smallest project should not give the impression of a "sharashka office", people should understand its significance. To do this, they need to see that the project is thought out "from and to".

Remember famous phrase“whatever you call a ship, so it will sail”? It is perfectly applicable to the business of a children's studio, therefore, first of all, you need to choose the perfect name and come to grips with corporate identity. And it is not at all necessary that the latter will cost you a fabulous amount.

Personal experience

I started with thinking about the corporate identity. To do this, I had to resort to the help of a designer. I found him among freelancers, wrote those. task on which he relied during his work. A good designer charges 15-10 thousand rubles for development. No need to spare money for this, especially since the amount is not so great. But people will see how attentive you are to details, they will appreciate your approach to business. A single corporate identity that is used everywhere - on business cards, flyers, etc. - inspires more trust among customers and promotes recognition of your studio.

The interior of the studio should also fit into the canons of the corporate identity, so it is important to think it through to the smallest detail. Only after you decide on the image of the future studio, you can start purchasing building materials and repairing the premises.

After the repair, it is time to purchase equipment. What kind of equipment it will be depends on what your studio is doing. In my case, I had to purchase ordinary tables and special tables for sand rice, a camera, a projector, a projection screen.

Equipment prices will vary greatly. For example, a small children's table can cost 1 thousand rubles, or maybe 8 thousand. You choose. Just remember that the most important thing is that the tables correspond to the minimum indicators, and the presence of golden legs is the tenth thing. The same, in principle, applies to any other equipment.

The amount of equipment depends on how many children will be studying in your studio at the same time. We have everything designed for a lesson with six kids. This is the optimal number of students, since it is with this size of the group that the teacher can pay sufficient attention to each child.

As for the choice of equipment suppliers, a lot depends on the city of opening. It is easier to find a supplier that is optimally suited to the parameters in a big city.

The larger the city, the greater the choice of equipment.

For the studio small town Most likely, you will have to order everything on the site. This may delay the process somewhat or lead to unexpected results.

If we talk about the criteria for selecting suppliers, the main one is the ratio of price and quality. No need to rush to low prices! Decide what quality equipment you need, understand the indicators and technical specifications. This will have to be done in order to understand whether you are buying good equipment. And only after everything becomes very clear with the characteristics, you can compare prices from different suppliers.

It is advisable to choose monopoly firms that are engaged in the production of one type of equipment. For example, only projectors are produced.

Often those involved in the supply of equipment are ready to provide consumables. At least that's how things are in the field of sand painting.

Finding suppliers of both equipment and consumables is getting easier every year. In our field, demand is constantly growing, so more and more companies appear. And you can access them online.

If you are opening something fundamentally new, there may be difficulties with suppliers. If finding them is already quite difficult, you can try to make the equipment yourself. However, there is a question of quality here.

After the consumables and equipment have been purchased, you need to start thinking through the methods of working with children and the working hours of the studio itself.

In our studios, the lesson lasts from 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the age of the children. For a longer time, it is simply difficult for kids to concentrate on one activity.

We work with children mainly on weekday evenings or weekends. During the week, the schedule is thought out so that it would be convenient for parents to bring the children after the end of their working day or the child's stay in the kindergarten. And on the weekends there are mostly children's parties.

Another important issue is the selection of personnel. In fact, choosing a good teacher is by no means easy, if only because some of the criteria may not always be unambiguously advantageous. For example, extensive work experience and extensive achievement list- not a guarantee of quality. The main thing for a teacher is a sparkle in the eyes. If a person has the desire and enthusiasm, if he is interested in implementing his ideas, you and this person will go far.

It is important that a person wants not just to work, but to be part of your company.

Requirements for the placement of a children's studio are not as strict as, for example, for catering. However, there are certain rules here too. First of all, you need to determine where to rent a room.

Of course, transport and pedestrian traffic is a completely optional criterion for you. But climbing into the wilderness, to which it takes three hours to go from anywhere in the city, and then another 5 kilometers on foot, is a bad decision. A children's studio should be available.

Check if it will be convenient for customers to get to you. It is important that the studio is not too far from public transport stops. At the same time, parents should be able to travel by more than one route, preferably from anywhere in the city without a transfer. Convenient access roads for those who will bring the kids in their own car will not be superfluous.

But as for the part of the city where you will work, you are free to choose. Suitable for both the center and the sleeping area. Especially new buildings, where many young families with children live. If it is very difficult to decide on a place, try again to resort to a poll. Parents will be happy to vote on the social network for the most convenient option for them to place the studio.

Advice

From the point of view of reducing the cost of premises for large cities, a good option is sublease. But you need to choose your "neighbor" wisely. A children's studio on the threshold of a grocery store will cause nothing but bewilderment. Choose a business in a related industry, such as a toy store or a private garden.

Shopping centers are very well suited for hosting a children's studio, many of which today have special “children's floors”. However, it is important that such a shopping center is not too noisy. The child should be able to work out without being distracted by any extraneous sounds.

Don't forget to provide comfort for parents as well. Many of them may decide that it does not make sense to leave somewhere for 1 hour, and they will wait for the end of the lesson here in the studio. Therefore, the studio should have a kind of waiting area with comfortable sofas, magazines and other things that help to comfortably wait for the child. This, of course, will force you to take up additional space and increase the cost of rent, but it's worth it.

Speaking of square. It will depend on whether you plan your training studio to hold events and birthdays. In this case, you will need both an area for classes, and an area for recreation and games. Ideally, they should be separated. Minimum studio area - 20-30 sq.m.

As for the requirements for repairs, everything is quite simple here. So far, there are no SanPins regulating children's studios, which means that no one will fine you for the lack of tiles or linoleum instead of carpet.

The most important thing is to comply with fire safety standards. Your landlord should be responsible for this. Although it’s still better to double-check if there is a fire alarm in the room, if fire extinguishers are out of order, etc.

The documents

An obligatory stage of opening any business is its legal registration. When opening a children's studio, you have a choice between an individual entrepreneur and an LLC. It will be easier to work if you register as an individual entrepreneur. In this case, you will be able to choose a simplified version of tax reporting and will be able to keep records on your own. But when opening an LLC, you cannot do without a professional accountant.

The best option for a children's studio is a "simplified" one with a tax of 6% of income.

Opening checklist

Is it profitable to open

With good performance, the children's studio pays off quickly enough - in 3-4 months. To achieve such a result, you need to look for additional ways to increase profits, for example, by holding children's parties.

But keep in mind that clients can be different. Parents who are ready to spend 25 thousand rubles on a children's birthday can come to you, while the cost of the holiday in your price list is 10 thousand rubles. In such a case, you need to be able to offer your customers additional services. For example, introduce a paper show, which is now gaining popularity, or add quests for children to the program.

To increase profits and shorten the payback period, you can also conduct field workshops and even team building for companies, if your activity allows it.

In addition, you need to be able to reduce the costs of your studio. The main costs are for salaries and rent. In addition, from time to time you have to update some interior items, for example, children's stools, as well as spend money on consumables. In terms of savings, you can reduce costs primarily by reducing rental costs. For example, you can use the same sublease.

Beginning entrepreneurs often face the question of what pricing policy to pursue. A children's studio is exactly the case when the main criterion for the formation of your price is the prices of competitors. However, it is not at all necessary that we are talking about direct competitors. Take a look at other leisure facilities.

At the very beginning of work, you can dump. This will attract customers.

Dumping helps a lot when used correctly, but using it all the time is not an option. The client has the thought: "The cheaper, the worse." As a result, he begins to doubt the conditions provided in the studio, the competence of personnel, etc. In a word, one must be able to deal with dumping, it is important not to overdo it here.

Personal experience

In our studios, opened in different cities, there are different prices. The average cost of a master class in small towns is 250-300 rubles, in big cities - 600-700 rubles.

Different rates apply for long-term programs. A monthly subscription for four classes costs 1860 rubles.

Organizing the work of the studio is a rather difficult task, since many nuances will have to be taken into account, both for regular classes and for additional services. In order for the studio to work in plus, it is necessary that you have 6 groups of 6 people. But it is important not to forget about additional services. There are three types of services in our studio: developmental classes, children's birthdays and family workshops.

We have regular group classes on weekday evenings. We try to make sure that two groups of each age have time to work out per week. In total, we have two groups in each (one of the three) age category. The kids come to us once a week, the day off at the studio is on Monday. The schedule is floating. In many ways, the reason for this is that young children often get sick.

As for classes, it is important to make every effort to make the client permanent. It is important to make sure that he goes through the program to the end. This is facilitated by a well-designed methodology. We teach children to draw from scratch. It takes 1 year for babies to achieve certain successes.

At the end of the year, we have the opportunity to switch to a more complicated program. According to statistics, 70% of the children studying with us come in their second year of study.

The family workshop is designed to bring parents and children together. As a rule, classes are held for two, for example, mother and child or father and child. Children and parents gather in a small group and work together on creativity in such an interesting format.

One of our main services is children's birthday parties. This format is in great demand, it is very relevant in the market. Here it is important to consider entertainment program, to make the event interesting, including through the involvement of animators.

Holding children's birthdays is a weekend activity, since parents have the opportunity to bring their children to the holiday only on weekends. Our peaks are on Saturday, on this day we can spend three birthdays.

Each of the services provided should be tried to develop as much as possible. How successfully the services work can be judged at the end of the month. If a service does not bring the desired effect, all efforts should be thrown at its promotion.

As soon as adults become parents, the question of how to organize the child's leisure begins to haunt them constantly. And how to combine your business with children's leisure as efficiently as possible for both parties? That's what children's playrooms are for.

While parents go about their business, children are supervised, communicate, play and learn something new. For parents, this is help, and for the owners of the room - business. And it can be profitable if you get all the key points right. How to open a children's playroom? The business plan is discussed below.

Registration

To register a children's playroom, you do not need to obtain any additional licenses.

The package of documents regulating this type of activity is reduced to a standard package of registration of a legally operating enterprise providing services to the population.

In this case, individual entrepreneurship is quite enough.

Such registration takes a minimum of time, and the level of costs here is quite small - within the limits of official taxes.

You can deal with registration issues yourself, but then you must be prepared to spend some time in the queue for filing and issuing documents, but you will be able to fit into the minimum budget.

If you are not ready to register yourself, doubt the correctness of filling out the registration forms and do not want to waste time on unproductive activities, you can hire a person who will complete this step for you. The cost of such services today is not so high, but it greatly simplifies the life of a future entrepreneur.

You will receive the documents at the same time as in the case of self-registration (and sometimes even earlier), but during this time you will be able to do for your future business what requires your direct participation.

Equipment (equipment) of the children's playroom

This moment is perhaps the most costly and responsible for this type of business.

You will have to work with children, and they are the most ruthless critics. If a child does not like your playroom, he will not come there again, and no mother will be able to convince him. But if you like it, then he will be your most grateful and regular visitor.

Children's room interior

The main elements of the equipment of the children's room may look like this:

  1. Elements for mobile recreation. Children's town, slides, ladders, swings, wall bars, balls.
  2. Stationery, objects for drawing and crafts, appropriate furniture.
  3. Books for children of different ages.
  4. Board games, puzzles.
  5. TV, a set of cartoons and children's films.
  6. Toys (only those that can be handled easily).

This list is not mandatory for every game room. You can vary it at your discretion, based on the possibilities of the budget and the technical capabilities of the room.

Playroom equipment for children

So, if you have a small room, you should not squeeze a huge town into it, you can completely get by with a small element. Common sense should be the main determining criterion in matters of room equipment. There are only two prerequisites:

  1. The child should be comfortable and spacious enough to have enough space to play.
  2. Your visitors must be safe. This is the most important requirement. All toys and pieces of furniture must have appropriate safety certificates, be made only from materials that are safe for children (it’s good if they are natural), and be able to be easily washed and processed.

It is also worth noting that high-quality children's equipment is enough expensive pleasure. However, such things last much longer, they can be subjected to minor repairs if necessary, without replacing them entirely.

This is a smart investment compared to buying cheap pieces of furniture and toys that you will have to change after a short time.

Organizational moments

Speaking of organizational issues, we will again return to security issues in the first place.

Regardless of where the children's room will be located, both must comply with the most stringent sanitary and fire safety standards.

The same criteria must be met by all the items with which the room is equipped.

It is worth taking care of the availability of a first aid kit (we are dealing with children, and they often know how to do the most unexpected things), as well as a sufficient amount drinking water, disposable tableware and wet and dry wipes. The presence of a bathroom and a place for washing hands is also required.

When preparing your game room for the opening, make sure that as many of your potential buyers as possible know about this event. If the room is located in a shopping center, it is a good idea to place information on the center's notification system (almost every modern mall is equipped with it), as well as place advertising information in nearby houses.

If you're opening a game room elsewhere, it's worth spending a little more time on ads. Specific activities and ways to communicate with potential customers are determined depending on the specifics of your game room and the general traffic of visitors.

Children's playroom in the sports complex

Speaking about the format of the children's playroom, it is worth noting that along with the already familiar forms that can be seen today in almost every large supermarket, today the form of coworking is becoming more and more popular, which has already reached children's establishments.

More and more young mothers want to be active social life while staying with their children. Coworking is ideal for such cases. Any mother can come here with her child. Each of them can do what he is interested in, the mother can work, negotiate or communicate with other mothers, and the child at this time can play with peers.

At the same time, a relaxed and creative atmosphere motivates them to constantly visit such spaces. Yoga, drawing and creative development classes for children and adults are perfectly combined in such spaces.

In the summer, coworking can be organized right on the street, in a park or square, because then your visitors will enjoy communication and fresh air at the same time.

Staff

Cheerful and interesting employees are the main value of the game room.

There are no clear criteria for age and professional education.

The main thing is that the person working with children in your playroom should be psychologically balanced, educated enough, and have the ability to establish contact with any child.

Naturally, the presence of a health book and regular medical examinations are a prerequisite for every employee dealing with children.

For everything else, you can rely on your own discretion. Both young animators and nannies of age can do their job equally well, corresponding to the tasks set, as well as the level you declared. In some cases, mothers themselves are also involved in working with children in the playrooms, who have a desire to communicate with the child as much as possible.

Children's products always sell well. At proper organization this business idea is doomed to success. : the main points for starting your own business.

Is it possible to open a children's clothing store from scratch and how to do it, read.

Private kindergartens are in demand among wealthy residents of cities. This business cannot be called simple, because with high initial costs, payback will have to be expected for a long time. Nevertheless, this enterprise can be profitable. Here is everything about the nuances of opening a private kindergarten.

Profitability and place

The profitability of a playroom for children is closely related to its location. Therefore, it would be good to initially worry about finding a room located in a place with good traffic for your target audience. Traditionally, the best places to organize such places are large supermarkets, shopping centers and shopping malls.

Here, parents are ready to spend a significant amount of time, and they are interested in organizing leisure activities for their child during this period. Children visit such places with pleasure, and it is they who initiate the trip to the shopping center.

Game complex in a supermarket

The malls themselves have an interest in the good performance of the children's playrooms, as both parties benefit mutually from a well-organized process.

If you are not satisfied with the profitability of hourly rates, you can provide a number of additional services that will attract more visitors to you.

So, we can talk about organizing holidays for children, holding birthdays and theme parties. Children are also interested in various creative workshops that can be held on a regular basis. So you will have a regular source of additional income.

Business plan for opening a children's playroom

The organization of a children's playroom can be a good business and bring a stable income to its owner, if you approach the matter thoughtfully.

There are several key points, which should be carefully considered at the stage of drawing up a business plan:

  • questions related to registration;
  • how to equip a children's room;
  • where to find a room;
  • selection of employees;
  • advertising.

Each of these stages requires a certain amount of time and money. By counting them correctly, you will be able to compose yourself detailed plan actions and calculate the payback period and the level of profitability of your business project.

It should be noted that the need for children's playrooms in big cities is much higher than in small ones. However, here the level of competition will be much tougher than in a small town.

When preparing the launch of a new project, it is worth starting traditionally with an analysis of the existing competitive environment. Look around in the area that interests you, find out where children's playrooms are already operating, what services they provide. In this way, you can identify the clear needs of potential buyers and offer them exactly the service that will be expected in given time and in this place.

This approach will help you start successfully, bring the payback period of investments closer and reach the expected level of profitability.

If you first decided to open a children's development center, then first you need to create a clear action plan for yourself. , where to start and what organizational points need to be taken into account, read on our website.

You will find step-by-step instructions for opening a point of sale of cotton candy in the section.

You can often hear from young parents that it is becoming more and more difficult to arrange your baby: not all mothers are ready to quit work and sit all day with their child - and even if so, the baby still needs communication.

That is why over the past couple of years, along with municipal kindergartens, many private kindergartens and child development centers have also opened. All of them offer approximately the same services, but differ significantly in the level of teaching, the program used and the methodology for teaching kids. Children's centers, for example, set the bar higher and try to help parents make their babies more educated, successful and well-rounded.

Another thing is how much it costs to open child Center. Initial investments for opening start from 500 thousand rubles and average about 3 million. Thus, the payback period reaches 3-5 years. It seems like a long time, but you and I understand that a children's center is not so much a lucrative business, but an opportunity to do useful, good and socially significant work, and at the same time earn decent money.

Before we start

How to open a children's development center? In principle, about the same as a private kindergarten, but with a couple of interesting "buts". On the one hand, it will be necessary to pay more attention to the teaching methods, staff and the arrangement of the club. On the other hand, you can not keep the children full time, but invite them at a certain time, close for the summer or work with children of a certain age - for example, to start collecting groups only for children 2-3 years old. Additional services also make sense: individual classes and thematic circles in English / music / and better all at once, which will help increase the customer base and get more profit.

By the way, thanks to this flexibility, opening a children's development or play center is a great business idea for enterprising moms. However, you need to understand that this area is quite specific and it is not so easy to open a development center. If you have never worked with children before, then you definitely need to take a person with a wealth of experience in administrative and pedagogical activities or turn to franchise offers.

Speaking of franchises. Their number has also been rapidly increasing recently, and each parent company, in addition to various degrees of fame, differs in the format of the children's center and the training program. But on the other hand, by turning to franchise offers, you will receive a clear algorithm of actions, an excellent business plan and the right to work under a well-known brand of some Baby Club or Sun School, which means you will certainly have a good reputation and a competitive advantage over other children's centers.

Main risks: large investments, difficulties with registration and selection of personnel, high social responsibility.

“Step-by-step instructions on how to open a children's development center”

Location

A children's development center can also be opened closer to office and business life, so that it would be more convenient for parents to take their children, and in sleeping areas that have not yet been captured by competitors. But in general, the following can be said about the room: size matters. For starters, you can get by with 100 sq. m, but we all know that the more the better - the future children's center should fit a study room, a playroom, a dining room, a bedroom, a bathroom with a toilet, as well as a reception room and an office for staff. In an ideal world, the premises should be owned or have the option to rent and buy.

To choose a room, it is best to call with you a good specialist, because children are entitled to the best and firefighters with the sanitary and epidemiological service know about it. In general, in the same ideal world, firefighters and representatives of the SES should become yours. best friends and consultants who will help with the arrangement of bedrooms and dining rooms and will give advice on which fire alarms are best to choose.

Equipment

First, imagine that you are setting up a nice apartment with playrooms. Bright walls, natural furniture, swings and slides, curtains and flower pots - in order to make everything in the best light, it is better to contact a special company to develop a design project. Secondly, it's time to remember that you are opening a children's development center. A whole separate article can be devoted to the choice of educational methods, so we will limit ourselves to the fact that it is better to order manuals and toys together with specialists - the same toys should not only be beautiful, but also safe, durable and with quality certificates.

Personnel

The staff is what will become the pride, light and hope of the children's development center you opened. You can even say that the success of your business largely depends on the staff: firstly, we are still expected to effective learning, and secondly, if the children themselves want to stay longer, tell mom and dad how wonderful everything is, and they will spread the news about it to their friends and relatives, who are also potential customers - this is wine.

Any staff, no matter how much experience they have, needs close attention at first: a trial period is mandatory for everyone. Minimum set:
1. an educator with a specialized education who would inspire trust and respect among parents,
2. A methodologist who must have experience working with children in a public kindergarten, be well versed in existing methods and assess the child's abilities,
3. psychologist - better in age and with experience working with children and
4. household worker - perhaps an aged lady, but who would treat our kindergarten as if it were her own household, would be economical and could work with an irregular schedule.

Documents and licenses

But on this point it is worth dwelling in more detail. In any case, we will have to go through the standard procedure for legalizing activities, but there are two ways to do this: register a children's center as a non-state educational institution or as a home kindergarten.

In the first case, in order to open a children's center, it is necessary to register with the justice authorities as a NOU - this takes about a month. To do this, you need to put the institution on tax records and obtain a license for educational activities from the Department of Education. Accordingly, for a license, you will need a copy of the charter, a lease of premises or a certificate of ownership, the conclusions of firefighters and SES with whom you should have made friends, as well as a certificate of the availability of material and technical base for educational activities, an educational program, information about teachers, staffing, information about the number of pupils, etc.

If the title does not use the word "educational" or "educational", but say that you are opening, for example, game center, a child care center or a child development center, you can try to imagine yourself a kindergarten at home. To do this, it is enough to get by with the usual IP, and arrange the staff for positions with the duties of a nanny. For such a children's center, a license and an accounting department are no longer needed - you choose a simplified system and outsource everything. Yes, and the requirements are softer: for example, a fine from the SES will cost 3,000 rubles for an individual entrepreneur, and an average of 30,000 for a non-profit organization. bring it, and even if you bring it, it can violate Article 17. Housing Code. That's why the best option will be the use of a cottage, which is quite enough for the occupation of 40-50 people.

Marketing

Your main and very first clients are parents with children from neighboring houses. Therefore, the first goal of your marketing campaign is the surrounding courtyards. And here, as they say, all means are good: announcements on the porches, flyers, invitations to the opening with free ice cream, competitions for kids and parents with gifts ... in general, go for it.

Are you opening a child development center in small town or in the center of a large one, the second stage is to make yourself known to as many busy and solvent moms and dads as possible. To do this, you can connect both outdoor advertising and radio advertising. Separately, it is also worth mentioning about the site - it should be colorful, with good optimization and visual prices. It is very good if through the site you can sign up for trial classes, additional circles or, for example, watch children live.

Summary

Opening a children's development center is an interesting and promising business idea, which is especially relevant in major cities and will certainly be of interest not only to enterprising mothers. However, children still deserve the best, which means that this business will require a lot of investment, a lot of effort and the help of specialists at all stages, from choosing a methodology to buying toys. The staff in your business will play an even greater role than beautiful desks and flowers on the windowsills, so it will take a long time to look for it, and pay well. In general, the sphere is quite sensitive and even with social responsibility, so if you have never worked with children before, you definitely need to take a person with rich experience in administrative and pedagogical activities, turn to franchise offers ... well, or just score and open a children's shop.

At the same time, sales have a pronounced seasonality: in the summer months, there is a decrease in sales. Financial plan compiled according to an optimistic forecast, which can be realized due to the high workload of the children's club. Integral project performance indicators are presented in Table 1.

Table 1. Key performance indicators of the project

The yield index is greater than one, the net present value is positive and amounts to 3,963,197 rubles, which indicates the investment attractiveness of the project.

2. DESCRIPTION OF THE INDUSTRY

Today in Russia institutions of additional education for children are becoming especially popular. This trend is associated, firstly, with an increase in the birth rate in the country, secondly, with a lack of places in public kindergartens, and thirdly, with the low quality of preschool education in these institutions.

The development of the market for private gardens and developing clubs began in the mid-2000s, which was caused by an active growth in the birth rate. Over time, the prospects of the market were appreciated by many - the market began to fill up with players who began to conquer consumers with different levels income. If earlier the services of private kindergartens and similar institutions were regarded as an expensive service for the wealthy category of the population, then the current market covers a wider audience - now almost everyone can find an option suitable for their budget.

The demographic situation in the country supported the market of children's development centers and private kindergartens. In recent years, Rosstat has noted an annual increase in the birth rate by 3%. At the end of 2016, 1 million 860 thousand people were born in Russia.

Ready-made ideas for your business

Peak natural population growth in the country occurred in 2012, and the peak of increased competition among children's development centers shifted to 2014, when the market outgrew the stage of formation and entered the stage of maturity. Today in Russia there are more than two thousand children's development clubs and private kindergartens, and the market structure is represented by various players: large franchise networks (more than 30 points of presence), small-scale networks (up to 5-10 objects) and local players with 1- 2 points.

Despite the current crisis, the segment of private children's education feels quite confident. According to experts, this business is able not only not to decline, but also to grow during the crisis. This is due to the fact that most consumers believe that children cannot be saved, and therefore do not plan to stop investing in their development and education.

Thus, the business of preschool education for children is a promising direction that takes into account the main social and economic trends. However, the supplementary preschool market is characterized not only by a growth trend, but also by imbalance and high competition in many programs. The main problem of the market is the low share of private business, which is only 3-5% of the total number of organizations. The Agency for Strategic Initiatives identifies a set of barriers that impede the development of the market for additional education for children:

Lack of state statistical accounting in the industry;

Excessive requirement in normative documents(SanPinah);

Complicated licensing procedure;

Shortage of qualified personnel;

Low awareness and disunity of industry entities;

Lack of advanced training programs and certification of employees in the field of additional education.

At present, the development of the market of additional education for children is being updated in Russia. The state is developing measures aimed at supporting entrepreneurship in the field of preschool education. The amendments to the draft laws and the measures taken by the Government to develop the non-state sector of preschool education should become an additional driver for the growth of the segment. State support for small and medium-sized businesses operating in the field of preschool education is expressed in the provision of subsidies and tax benefits.

Increasing the availability of various areas of additional education is one of the priorities development of domestic education. According to statistics, the proportion of children in Russia who receive training on the basis of additional education is 49%. Federal target program "Development of additional education of children in Russian Federation until 2020" provides for the growth of this indicator to the level of 70-75%. In accordance with these goals, the market for additional education is developing. At the beginning of 2015, the market volume reached 231.4 billion rubles, having increased by 18.5% over the year. Growth drivers were an increase in the natural volume of the market and an increase in the cost of services.

Ready-made ideas for your business

Thus, it is possible to highlight the advantages and disadvantages of this business. The benefits include the relevance of the business; stability; low susceptibility to crises; state support for preschool education. Among the shortcomings, one should single out the difficulty in the selection of highly qualified personnel; high level of competition; the need for the presence of an entrepreneur in business; low marginality due to the cost of rent, salary employees and the cost of the services provided. Nevertheless, the opening of a children's developing club is assessed as a promising line of business, which is characterized by a stable income and social significance.

3. DESCRIPTION OF KIDS CLUB SERVICES

The Children's Development Center is an institution where classes are held with the child to develop intellectual abilities, social communication skills, creativity, creativity, concentration of attention and are engaged in various types of creativity (singing, modeling, drawing, dancing, etc.). There are both multidisciplinary centers covering a wide range of services, as well as narrowly focused centers focused on certain segments of preschool education.

This project involves the opening of a children's developing club with a wide range of services, which allows covering a large part of the population. Expanding the range of the center's services does not require large additional costs - it is important to carefully study the programs for each group. Classes are designed for different age groups:

    children from 2 to 3 years;

    children from 3 to 5 years;

    children from 5 to 7 years old;

    pupils.

Each group has its own program and specifics of conducting classes. The planned list of services is shown in Table 3. Of course, this list can be expanded with pottery modeling, and various areas of dance, and physical training, and a school of success, and a culinary workshop, and vocal classes, and a theater school, and a chess studio, and also in other areas.

In addition, on the basis of the children's studio, master classes and trainings for adults can be held: a development school, psychological trainings, body ballet, yoga, gymnastics for pregnant women, and more.

The format of the children's club provides a wide range of services. To decide on their list, you need to form the concept of your club (family club / school for creative development / preschool education or another direction). It is also recommended to study the offers of competitors in order to introduce a competitive service in your club.

Tuition fees vary depending on the service. The more relevant and unique it is, the more expensive it is to attend (usually, this is due to higher salaries for teachers). The average cost of 1 visit to classes is 400 rubles. The club also assumes the validity of subscriptions for a month (8-12 lessons, depending on the program). Its cost is calculated based on the amount of 1 visit and a 15% discount. That is, if a subscription is purchased for 8 classes worth 400 rubles each, then the total price of the subscription will be 2700 rubles.

4. SALES AND MARKETING OF THE KIDS CLUB

The target audience of the children's developing club are various groups of people who are aimed at the creative and intellectual development of their children. The target audience is represented by parents of preschool children. The presence of programs for different ages and the average price segment allows you to cover a large audience.

The purpose of the children's developing club is to provide a wide range of services for preschool education for children. The mission of the club is to help the child develop the necessary personal qualities, skills, talents that will make him a successful adult in the future. In accordance with the mission, the specific tasks of the children's developing club are also determined:

Creating a favorable developmental environment in which the child will feel comfortable;

Development of the child's interest in independent knowledge of the world;

Creation of favorable conditions for the development of the child's abilities;

Creation of a psychologically comfortable environment;

Socialization of the child;

Individual approach to each child.

Ready-made ideas for your business

Having a clear positioning in the market, you can develop an advertising promotion program. The initial step is to conduct a SWOT analysis to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the institution. This will allow you to adjust marketing directions and identify key promotion methods.

Table 3. SWOT analysis of a children's developing club

Inner sides

Strengths:

1) The possibility of expanding the range of services;

2) Possibility of choosing a territory favorable for doing business;

3) The possibility of establishing cooperation with school teachers;

4) A wide range of services to cover a large target audience;

5) Teachers have experience working with children.

Weak sides:

1) Lack of own client base;

2) High responsibility for children;

4) The need to look for staff and difficulties in finding qualified teachers.

External sides

Capabilities:

1) Opportunity to expand business;

2) State support for a socially significant project;

3) The possibility of obtaining subsidies for the opening and development of a socially significant business;

4) Growth in demand even during the economic downturn, which guarantees the stability of income.

1) High level of competition in the segment;

2) Decline in the income level of the population and, as a result, a decrease in profits;

3) The likelihood of changes in legislation and tightening of requirements that will complicate production processes.

Thus, in order to realize its potential, a children's developing club must develop a customer base, offer the audience author's methods that make it possible to distinguish it from competitors, and also attract highly qualified personnel to work.

Since at present a clear system of consumer requirements has not yet been formed in this segment, customers, when choosing a particular children's development center, rely on the reviews of acquaintances, search through the Internet and social networks, where you can find the information of interest. Thus, advertising for a children's center should contain as much useful information as possible, on the basis of which potential customers can form an opinion about your institution.

For a children's developing club, the most effective tools promotions will be:

1) Creation and promotion of your own website with parallel maintenance of your own group in social networks. The content of a group or profile should be diverse, including not only organizational issues and advertising of the club's services, but also should contain useful information - these can be training tips, various articles telling about the benefits of a particular activity, etc. Practice proves that the provision of useful and, most importantly, free information by a company increases the degree of loyalty of potential customers. Through social networks it is convenient to carry out various promotions and bonus programs.

2) Placing ads in schools, public kindergartens and other places where the target audience is concentrated.

3) Posting ads in houses that are geographically close to the institution. In this case, advertising in elevators is most effective.

4) Placement of information in local newspapers - this can be not only a commercial announcement, but also a whole article telling about your business, teachers, methods, results, etc.

5) Placement of information on various thematic forums in cities.

6) Participation in various recreational activities, active social work, sponsorship in projects.

7) Provision of additional services. This can be a free trial class or a video surveillance service that allows parents to follow the progress of their child's classes online.

8) A testimonial contest that allows you to spread the word about your kids club, use the word of mouth tool and attract new customers.

Since the competition in the segment is quite high, it is necessary to carefully consider the advertising strategy. An approximate plan for promoting a children's developing club is presented in Table 4. According to the calculations, it is planned to spend 56,000 rubles on promoting the club. The main part of promotional activities is planned for the first months of the opening of the child development center.

Event

Description

Costs, rub.

Create your own website

The site should reflect the description of the services and benefits of the children's club, its mission, goals and objectives, photo and video reports, the cost of services, reviews, a list of methods used, teaching staff, contacts and address

To do this, it is supposed to create advertising material (flyers / booklets) and distribute it in places where the target audience is concentrated (schools, kindergartens, shopping centers, etc.). Costs include the cost of creating and printing flyers, as well as wages for promoters.

Internet promotion

Creation of accounts in social networks VKontakte and Instagram, where it will be placed useful information about various club services, promotions, events, reviews, etc. A contest is planned to be held on the basis of Internet sites (it is possible to hold a contest for the most creative review, a contest for children's drawings, a contest for family photos, etc.). The main prize in the competition is a free visit to a master class or a monthly subscription to one of the club's programs.

An active marketing strategy allows you to accelerate the process of recoupment of funds invested in opening a children's developing club. It is necessary to use promotion tools in a complex way - then advertising will give the fastest and most effective result.

Predicting the volume of sales in a children's developing club is quite difficult. It depends on the qualifications of the selected teachers, and on the schedule of classes. Usually, the time for group 1 is 60 minutes. It is planned that the area of the children's club will allow for 5 classes at the same time. Each group consists of 7-12 people (average 9 people). The 10-hour work schedule and the club's class schedule allows for an average of 20 lessons per day. Based on these data, the planned sales volume per month will be: 20*30*9*400= 2,160,000 (rubles). It is possible to achieve such indicators with sufficient occupancy of the club, the availability of the necessary teaching staff, sufficient space for organizing several classes and a flexible class schedule. Also, when planning sales, it should be taken into account that sales in the preschool education segment have some seasonality: they decrease in the summer months and grow in the autumn-winter period.

5. KIDS CLUB PRODUCTION PLAN

The opening of a children's development center includes the following steps:

1) Registration in government bodies. In accordance with Art. 91 of the Federal Law "On Education in the Russian Federation", additional education is subject to licensing. However, in accordance with Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of March 16, 2011 N 174 “On Approval of the Regulations on Licensing Educational Activities”: “Educational activities carried out by conducting one-time classes of various types (including lectures, internships, seminars) and not accompanied by final certification and issuance of documents on education, activities for the maintenance and education of students and pupils, carried out without the implementation of educational programs, as well as individual labor pedagogical activities are not subject to licensing. Therefore, you do not need to purchase a license to open a children's developing club.

However, there are certain requirements for the institution of additional education for children that must be observed:

The premises of the club must be suitable for the purposes of training in terms of all established standards (number and minimum area of rooms, the presence of a separate entrance, etc.). This information can be found in SNiP and SanPiN. It must also comply with all fire and sanitary safety standards (repair using recommended materials, availability of fire alarms, fire extinguishing agents, proper lighting, comfortable temperature conditions, etc.);

Furniture and equipment must comply with sanitary standards and safety criteria;

The availability of educational programs that meet state standards, as well as a preliminary schedule and information about the teaching staff. Teachers must have education in the profile and qualifications, which is documented. It is also necessary for all employees to have medical books and timely medical examinations.

To conduct commercial activities, an individual entrepreneur is registered with a simplified taxation system (“income” at a rate of 6%). Types of activities according to OKVED-2:

85.41.9 - Other additional education for children and adults, not included in other groups;

90.04.3 - Subgroup "Activities of club-type institutions: clubs, palaces and houses of culture, houses of folk art."

2) Location and choice of office. Unlike most commercial premises, for a children's development club, location according to high traffic is not so important. Classes here are planned in advance, spontaneous sales are not typical for this type of activity. A winning option for placing a developing children's center is a building in close proximity to kindergartens and schools where the target audience of the studio is present. It is also desirable to have a kids club in a residential area - this will not only reduce the cost of renting a room, but will also become a more convenient visiting option for customers.

The main thing is to choose a room that would meet all the requirements. When choosing a room, it is necessary to pay attention to lighting, sanitary condition, availability of a bathroom and other technical characteristics.

To organize a children's club, several isolated rooms are required:

A hall with a comfortable waiting area with hangers or lockers for clothes and change of shoes; sofas or banquettes for changing shoes and waiting;

The rooms where classes are held should be bright and equipped with all the materials necessary for the learning process. Work desks, play area, specially equipped classrooms. Since the range of services of the development center is quite diverse, the design of the classes is different - for some classes a small room with a soft carpet will be enough, for others an equipped class will be required.

A bathroom that provides for the presence of children's sinks.

In this project, it is planned to place 8 isolated rooms:

Class for the younger group;

Class for creative work;

Class for dancing, acting, fitness;

Two classrooms for studying at desks (chess, English, mathematics course, preparation for school);

The office of a psychologist and speech therapist for individual consultations;

Hall, where there are storage lockers and sofas for waiting and a small play area;

Bathroom.

Accordingly, the total area required is about 150 sq.m. To implement this project, it is planned to rent an office with an area of 150 m2 located in one of the residential areas. The cost of renting such premises with repairs will average 110 thousand rubles for a city with a population of about 1 million inhabitants. If you plan to acquire the ownership of such premises, then the estimated cost will be 6.5 million rubles. Since the landlord leases the premises with repairs, there will be no additional costs for repairs. 8,000 rubles were allocated for the design of the sign.

3) Selection of personnel. For a children's developing club, the availability of qualified personnel is one of the main parameters, so you should carefully approach the selection of staff. the main problem when opening such an institution lies precisely in a small number of highly qualified specialists. Therefore, it is recommended to engage in the selection of personnel at the stage of business planning. It is obligatory that the teachers of the club have a pedagogical or psychological education. It should be noted that when drawing up training programs, knowledge in the psychological, pedagogical and creative fields will be required.

4) Purchase of equipment. For organization educational process the club will require various equipment: furniture, various props for classes, training material. Desks and chairs will be required for classes, mirrors for a dance class, and mirrors for children's fitness classes. Sports Equipment etc. Create a clear list necessary equipment and it is possible to calculate the costs for it when specific educational programs. Table 5 provides a summary of the equipment. Thus, the cost of equipment and technical equipment for the children's center will amount to 400,000 rubles.

Table 5. An approximate list of equipment for a children's developing club

6. ORGANIZATIONAL PLAN OF THE CHILDREN'S CENTER

The working hours of the children's center are from 9:00 to 20:00.

For the functioning of the studio, it is necessary to form a staff of the following employees: teachers, administrators, accountant, cleaner. The main staff are teachers, since the atmosphere of the educational process and the impression of the club as a whole depend on their professionalism and sociability. Based on the prepared implementation plan and a certain range of services, the teaching staff should include:

Junior group teacher

Music group teacher;

Choreography teacher;

School teacher for the development of intelligence;

English teacher;

Two educational psychologists;

Speech therapist-defectologist;

Painting teacher.

The work schedule of teachers depends on the schedule and the occupancy of the groups. For teachers, a rolling work schedule is offered, since the frequency of classes in groups is 2-3 times a week.

The position of administrators involves shift work - 2 through 2, so you will need to hire two employees. Administrator requirements are limited high level discipline, responsibility, communication skills. Their responsibilities include receiving calls and letters, recording clients for classes, forming groups, scheduling classes, maintaining groups on social networks, and providing the studio with the necessary equipment.

The cleaning lady is expected to be part-time.

It also needs a head of the studio, who will perform the functions of a manager. All the staff is subordinate to him, he makes decisions on hiring employees, builds a marketing policy, and interacts with the counterparty. In this project, an individual entrepreneur performs all managerial functions and maintains accounting records.

The total payroll will amount to 426,000 rubles.

Table 6. Staffing and wage fund of the development center

7. FINANCIAL PLAN OF THE KIDS CLUB

The financial plan takes into account all income and expenses of the project, the planning horizon is 5 years.

To launch the project, it is necessary to calculate the amount of investment. To do this, you need to determine the costs of arranging the premises, purchasing equipment and furniture, purchasing educational materials and forming working capital, which will cover the losses of the initial periods. The initial investment for opening a children's club is 740,000 rubles. The project is financed by equity. The main investment cost items are shown in Table 7.

Table 7. Investments in the opening of a children's development center

Variable costs consist of the cost of materials that are used in the learning process. These costs are minimal and amount to 20% of the cost of 1 lesson - 80 rubles.

Fixed expenses consist of rent, utilities, payroll, advertising and depreciation. Of these, almost 75% of the costs are for the salaries of teachers. The amount of depreciation is determined by the straight-line method, based on the useful life of fixed assets in 5 years. Fixed costs also include tax deductions, which are not presented in this table, since their amount is not fixed, but depends on the amount of revenue.

Table 8. Fixed costs of a child development center

Thus, fixed monthly expenses were determined in the amount of 570,400 rubles.

8. PERFORMANCE EVALUATION

The payback period of the development center with an initial investment of 740,000 rubles is 5 months. The net monthly profit of the project upon reaching the planned sales volumes will be about 900,000 rubles. The target sales volume is expected by the end of the first year of operation. Return on sales in the first year of operation will be 36.6%. The annual volume of net profit for the first year of operation will be about 6.7 million rubles.

The net present value is positive and equal to 3,963,197 rubles, which makes it possible to speak about the investment attractiveness of the project. The internal rate of return exceeds the discount rate and is equal to 37.07%, and the yield index is 5.36. The financial plan was drawn up according to an optimistic forecast, which can be realized due to the high workload of the children's club.

9. POSSIBLE RISKS

To assess the risk component of the project, it is necessary to analyze external and internal factors. External factors include threats related to the economic situation in the country, markets. To internal - the effectiveness of the management of the organization.

The specifics of the children's development center determines the following external risks:

Reaction of competitors. There are various institutions that provide continuing education services. Among them are large, promoted centers, which threatens not only with the loss of some potential customers, but even with ousting from the market. To minimize this risk, it is necessary to form your own client base, have unique offers, constantly monitor the market, and have a customer loyalty program;

An increase in the cost of rent, which will increase fixed costs and may affect the financial condition. It is possible to reduce the likelihood of risk by concluding a long-term lease agreement and choosing a conscientious landlord;

Decreased effective demand. Since the cost of additional education is not a priority, it can be excluded in order to save family budget. In other words, with a drop in the income of the population, there is a possibility of refusing the services of the club. You can minimize this risk with the help of discount promotions and the formation of loyalty programs. However, this risk cannot be completely avoided due to the specifics of the services provided;

Changes in legislation, which may lead to the complication of business processes. This risk cannot be managed. Therefore, it is necessary to take it into account and form a budget in case such risks occur.

Internal risks include:

Responsibility for the health and safety of children. The presence of an unpleasant incident can significantly affect the business reputation of the institution and lead to significant problems. Therefore, in order to avoid similar situations it is necessary to conduct thorough briefing for both teachers and parents;

Failure to meet the planned sales volume. It is possible to reduce this risk with an effective advertising campaign and a competent marketing policy, which involves various promotions and bonuses;

Lack of qualified specialists. This risk can be mitigated by monitoring employees of schools, art, music and choreography schools, university graduates in the required specialties, careful selection of employees and favorable working conditions that can attract high-quality personnel;

Decrease in the reputation of the institution among the target audience due to errors in management or a decrease in the quality of services. It is possible to mitigate the risk with constant monitoring of the quality of services, receiving feedback from the clients of the institution and taking corrective measures.

Summarized data on the analysis of the risk component of the project are shown in Table 9. Thanks to the quantitative risk assessment, it is possible to establish what should be focused on and what measures should be taken to minimize losses.

Table 9 Quantitative Analysis risks

In accordance with the above calculations, the most serious risks are the risks of a shortage of qualified personnel and the reaction of competitors. In the first direction, it is necessary to create favorable working conditions in order to attract experienced employees. In the second direction, special attention should be paid to the formation of competitive advantages, especially pricing policy, marketing strategy, as well as the creation of a flexible system for working with clients.

This business is quite interesting, specific and complex.

It is interesting because the volume of investments, as a rule, does not exceed 0.5-2.0 million rubles. (unless the property is purchased). It is specific because the service offered for sale is, first of all, a teacher with a non-standard training program, in other words, “exclusive”. And the more "exclusive", the better.

Of course, it is impossible to say that the consumer is greedy for “exclusive” in the current difficult time, but nevertheless. You need to understand that if there is no “zest”, then people may simply not reach such a children's center. That is why, if a few years ago the main emphasis was on languages, drawing and preparation for school (for kids), now such new areas of development of children as calligraphy (Japanese, Chinese), mental mathematics, children's TRIZ (Theory of Inventive Problem Solving) are in demand. and RTV (Development of Creative Imagination), health practices.

Business is complicated by the fact that in million-plus cities there is quite high competition. In addition, it directly depends on the macroeconomic situation in the country, and the current stagnation of the economy does not affect the dynamics of market growth for the better, but rather the opposite.

Of course, it makes sense to say that the cost of promoting the services of children's centers can sometimes be 25-40% of revenue. This is extremely large and this is a kind of serious risk of its further existence as a Center.

That is why, when planning such a business, it is necessary, first of all, to pay attention to the so-called. "payback point", and in the second, to lay "planned losses" in the first two, three, and sometimes six months of work.
