When buying wings, inspect them carefully - wings should be pinkish-beige in color, without bruising or dark spots, and not sticky. The smell should be fresh chicken meat, without signs of spoilage and detergents (bleach), which unscrupulous sellers use to process chicken products to extend shelf life.

If you sell wings consisting of two parts (without the third, the thinnest phalanx), buy those so that there is less waste. You can also buy only the shoulder part of the wing.

Step-by-step preparation

  1. Preparing the wings. To do this, wash them, dry them with napkins or paper towels and cut them into three parts.
  2. We remove the thinnest part; we will not use it. Also, during the preparation process, we cut off pieces of skin that do not fit tightly to the meat.

  3. Cover a baking sheet with foil.

  4. Lay out the wings in one row.

  5. Bake them for 20-25 minutes at 225 degrees in convection mode.

  6. For the sauce, put 300 grams of ketchup in a bowl.

  7. Add to it a teaspoon each of salt, granulated garlic, dried parsley and brown sugar.

  8. Add 15 grams of mustard and 12 milliliters of olive oil to the sauce.

  9. Add half a teaspoon of hot red pepper and 2 teaspoons of smoked paprika.

    Paprika is our secret ingredient, thanks to which the wings will receive an original smoked taste and aroma.



  10. Mix all ingredients until smooth.

  11. Spoon the sauce onto the baked wings using a spoon.

  12. Using a brush, spread it over the entire surface of the wings.

    There should be a lot of sauce, as it gives the dish the main taste.



  13. We bake the wings without convection, in the “top-bottom” mode at 200 degrees for 10-15 minutes.
  14. Transfer the finished wings from the baking sheet to another bowl and serve with salads, fresh vegetables and a sauce made from Greek yogurt, garlic and herbs.

    Important! The finished wings should not be sticky - when you eat them, the sauce should not remain on your hands.



  • You can replace brown sugar in the recipe with liquid honey.
  • Wings can also be fried on the grill using a special grill, as well as on the grill.
  • If a little liquid appears on the baking sheet during baking, drain it so that it does not interfere with the formation of a crispy crust.

How to cook chicken wings in the oven

  1. I make a sauce for chicken wings to marinate the day before the day of cooking. They have time to marinate and turn out simply wonderful. For the marinade, I mix soy sauce, mustard, honey, garlic pressed through a garlic press, a mixture of herbs and spices and finely chopped ginger. I mix everything until smooth. If you don't like the slightly sweet taste, you can omit the honey. You can also add chili pepper if you want the wings to be spicier.
  2. In public catering, the last two phalanges of wings are usually cut off, leaving the meatiest part, but at home the wings can be cooked as is. The wings must be washed and dried paper towel and put it in a cup with a tight lid, in which we will marinate our wings. Now we must salt our wings a little (remember that there is soy sauce in the marinade and do not overdo it with salt), and then we pour the prepared sauce into the cup and mix gently (preferably by hand), rubbing each wing. After this, we put our chicken wings in the refrigerator for at least a couple of hours, or better yet overnight.
  3. Preheat the oven to 190°C. Lightly grease a baking dish or baking sheet with vegetable oil, lay out the wings so that they do not touch each other and are well browned. We place several sprigs of rosemary between the wings - they will add a special aroma! And put it in the oven for 35-40 minutes.

And now our rosy and fragrant chicken wings cooked in the oven are ready!

Chicken wings can be cooked very tasty in the oven. They turn out rosy, juicy, with a crispy crust if they are first soaked in the marinade and then baked on a baking sheet. To cook chicken wings in the oven you will need the following ingredients:

1 kg chicken wings

mayonnaise – 1 tablespoon

soy sauce – 1 tablespoon

honey -1 tablespoon

5-6 cloves of garlic

salt, black and red pepper to taste

parsley

The process of preparing rosy, crispy wings:

1. Chicken wings need to be washed, unplucked feathers removed (sometimes you come across them) and the unnecessary third joint should be cut off. I bought wings where it had already been removed, and if it had been there, I would have cut it off - there is no use in it, since there is almost no meat. You can split the remaining wing into two parts, but I usually don't do this to avoid wasting extra time in the kitchen.

2. Now salt and pepper the meat to taste and put it in the refrigerator for a while.

3. Prepare the marinade. In a large bowl, mix mayonnaise, soy sauce, honey, garlic cloves passed through a press, and finely chopped herbs. I had parsley, you can add other herbs such as cilantro, basil, mint. If you don't have fresh herbs, you can add dried herbs suitable for chicken meat.

4. Take out the wings properly, coat them with sauce and put them in the refrigerator to marinate for an hour. The pieces are small, so they are soaked in the marinade quickly - an hour is enough. If you don’t have much time, you can speed up the marinating process by making cuts across the wings, then half an hour will be enough to soak them.

5. Cover the baking sheet with foil so that the pieces do not burn on it, and coat the foil with a pastry brush sunflower oil. Place the wings on it, grease them with vegetable oil on top and bake in an oven preheated to 180-200 degrees for 30-40 minutes. Instead of a baking sheet, you can use a baking dish, which similarly needs to be pre-greased with sunflower oil.

A little over 40 minutes have passed, the wings are well browned and I’m taking them out for your consideration.


Just in our garden, young potatoes had already ripened, so the chicken wings baked in the oven with them, and even decorated with herbs, went with a bang.

They ate everything that same day.

I have a meat seasoning that is very aromatic and fragrant. We peel the garlic and finely chop it, or you can also put it through a press. Lightly salt, you don’t need much as soy sauce is quite salty. Mix everything well so that the sauce becomes homogeneous, and coat each wing with it.

Place the wings in the sauce in a bowl and cover. I left them in the refrigerator overnight so that the sauce was well absorbed into the chicken and the dish became aromatic and tasty. If you can’t wait that long, then you need to let them sit for at least a couple of hours and marinate in the sauce. Just before cooking, remove the chicken parts from the refrigerator. Mix well or dip each wing in the honey-soy marinade sauce.

In this photo I want to show you how beautifully you can fold the wings before baking them in the oven. Having placed them on the board, we wrap them in such a way that the wing holds the triangle shape well. That is, we fold the wing and push it inside. The wings keep their shape perfectly in the oven during cooking. We add each chicken “spare part” in this way.

I placed a sheet of foil on a baking sheet with sides so that when cooking the juice would be all inside and the honey wings would not burn. Pour the remaining honey and soy sauce marinade in the cup onto the wings.

Cover the top of the pan with foil. This is done to ensure that the honey chicken is well cooked, because honey has the property of browning the baked product very quickly. Place the baking sheet in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees. Baked chicken wings in foil will take approximately 40-50 minutes to cook. And at the very end, about ten minutes later, take out the baking sheet and remove the top foil. So that they become beautiful and fried, like from the cover of a magazine.
