It is important for every Muslim to know the meaning of the words “Ikhdina-s-Syrat-al-mustaqiym” (“Guide us to the Straight Path”), since he reads them in each of his prayers, and he also needs to be able to explain the meaning of these words, if he they will ask about the meaning of this verse.

  • The Straight Path is the Clear Path that leads to the pleasure of Allah.
  • The Straight Path is the Path that leads to Paradise.
  • The Straight Path is Islam, submission to God.

“Guide us to the Straight Path” means: “Show us to the Straight Path, guide us to the Straight Path, help us to follow the Straight Path.” Three meanings, each of which is priceless in its meaning.

“Lead us to the Straight Path” means “Lead us to the Straight Path,” but also “Lead us when we have embarked on the Straight Path,” that is, do not let us stray from it and end up in error!

This prayer from Fatiha contains more meaning than any other prayer. And this prayer is the most useful for a person. And due to the fact that every person most of all needs this prayer, Allah the Almighty has made it obligatory to turn to Him with this prayer in every rak'ah of every prayer.

How accurately these words convey our endless need for God's guidance! We don't just ask Him to lead us to the straight path. We beg Him not to leave us to our own devices and not to leave us without divine guidance, to protect us from the snares of Satan.

By tempting a believer, Satan studies his behavior. He gradually distances him from everything that helps him stay on the straight path. It keeps him from additional prayers and reading the Koran, encourages him to turn a blind eye to minor sins, and arouses interest in idle activities and entertainment. He knows full well that such interests will distance him from pious and knowledgeable people who can give useful advice or warn against sin.

How many misconceptions have spread among Muslims for this reason! Outraged by the murder of the descendants of the prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, the Shiites overzealously glorified them. Trying to avoid an anthropomorphic description of Allah, the Mu'tazilites and their followers rejected even those divine attributes that are mentioned in the Qur'an and Sunnah. Advocating for the reign of Sharia law, the Kharijite sect began to declare all Muslims who had sins and omissions as unbelievers (kafirs). One extreme inevitably led to the other!

Reflecting on this, you understand the meaning of the words of our Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him: “Whoever Allah wishes good, teaches him to understand religion” (al-Bukhari and Muslim). That is, a correct understanding of religion, without extremes and delusions, is a huge benefit given to man by the Almighty. That is why it is so important to ask Allah: “Guide us to the straight path!”

O Allah, only You we worship and only You we pray for help! Lead us on the path of those who know the truth and follow it relentlessly, not those who deliberately deviate from the truth, incurring Your wrath, and not those who are mistaken without knowing it! Amen!

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful!
Surah "People" was revealed in Mecca. It consists of 6 verses. In this surah, Allah Almighty commands His prophet - may Allah bless him and greet him! - resort to Him, asking Him for protection from great evil, which many people do not notice, since it stems from their passions and wicked whims and pushes them to do what Allah has forbidden them. This is the evil of Shaitan, from people or jinn, who tempts a person by disappearing at the mention of the name of Allah, whether he is hidden from view or visible to them, and who covers his temptation with cunning and deception.
114:1. Say: “I seek refuge in the Lord of men and the Ruler of their affairs,
114:2. The ruler of all people, who has complete power over them - rulers and ruled,
114:3. The God of men, to whom they are completely subject, and He has the power to do with them whatever He pleases,
114:4. from the evil of the one who tempts people, encouraging them to commit sins, and disappears if you resort to Allah, asking for protection from him,
114:5. who quietly tempts the hearts of people, instilling in them something that will seduce them and turn them away from the straight path,
114:6. be the tempter a genie or a man.”

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful!
This surah was revealed in Mecca. It consists of 4 verses. The Prophet - may Allah bless him and grant him peace! - they asked about his Lord. And in this sura he is ordered to answer that He is the Possessor of all perfect qualities, He is the One and only. They constantly turn to Him for help in need. He doesn't need anyone. There is no one like Him and there is no one like Him. He neither begat nor was He begotten, and among His creation there is none equal to Him or similar to Him.
112:1. Say, O Muhammad, to those who mocked you and told you to describe your Lord to them: “He is Allah, the One and Only. And He has no partners.
112:2. Allah, to whom alone one turns in need and to satisfy requests.

112:3-4. He has no children, He was not begotten, and there is no equal or like Him.”

About Surah al-Ikhlas

Surah Al-Ikhlas was sent to Mecca. Consists of 4 verses. The sura was revealed in response to the question of the polytheists to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH): “What is your Lord made of?”

The merits of the surah are written in many hadiths. There are so many of them that it is impossible to tell in a few words. Below are some of the main advantages of Surah Ikhlas.

The most famous hadith says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked the people: “Isn’t each of you able to read a third of the Qur’an in a night?” They asked in response: “How is this, O Messenger of Allah?” He told them: “Read Surah Al-Ikhlas! It is equal to a third of the Koran." Another says that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: “If a believer reads Surah Al-Ikhlas fifty times every day ", then on the Day of Resurrection a voice from above will be heard over his grave: “Rise, O you who praise Allah, enter Paradise!” “If a person reads Surah Al-Ikhlas a hundred times, then Allah Almighty will forgive him the sins of fifty years, provided that he does not commit four types of sins: the sin of bloodshed, the sin of money-grubbing and hoarding, the sin of debauchery and the sin of drinking alcohol.” Download Ikhlas sura.

The hadith speaks of a great reward for reading Surah Ikhlas. The size of Allah's reward depends on the number of times the surah is read and the time. The hadith below indicates how great the dignity of Surah Ikhlas is - the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: “If someone reads Surah Al-Ikhlas once, he will be overshadowed by the grace of the Almighty. Whoever reads it twice, he will be under the shadow of grace he himself and his whole family. If someone reads it three times, then he, his family and his neighbors will receive grace from above. Anyone who reads it twelve times, Allah will grant twelve palaces in Paradise. Whoever reads it twenty times, he [on the Day of Judgment] will walk with the prophets together like this. (And the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) closed his index and middle fingers.) Whoever reads it a hundred times, the Almighty will forgive all his sins of twenty-five years, except for the sin of bloodshed and the sin of non-repayment of debt. Whoever reads it two hundred times, the sins of fifty years will be forgiven. Anyone who reads this sura four hundred times will receive a reward equal to the reward of four hundred martyrs who shed blood and whose horses were wounded in battle. Whoever reads Surah Al-Ikhlas a thousand times will not die without seeing his place in Paradise, or until it is shown to him.” Download now Surah Ikhlas.

Another hadith provides instructions for those traveling or going on a trip to read Surah Al-Ikhlas 11 times, while holding onto the doorposts of their house, and nothing will happen to them and they will receive protection until they return home. The sura is also read together with suras Al-Nas and Al-Falak three times, after which you need to blow either on yourself or the child in order to protect from the machinations of the shaitan. This is very useful to do if the child is capricious, does not behave as usual (or, as we usually say, that he has been jinxed), it is advisable to do this before bed.

Semantic translation of Surah Yasin by Elmira Kulieva in Russian

1. Ya. Syn.
2. I swear by the wise Koran!
3. Verily, you are one of the messengers
4. on a straight path.
5. It is sent down by the Mighty, the Merciful,
6. So that you warn people whose fathers no one warned, because of which they remained careless ignoramuses.
7. The Word has come true to most of them, and they will not believe.
8. Verily, We have placed fetters on their necks up to their chins, and their heads are raised up.
9. We set a barrier in front of them and a barrier behind them and covered them with a veil, so that they cannot see.
10. They don’t care whether you warned them or not. They don't believe.
11. You can only warn the one who followed the Reminder and feared the Merciful, without seeing Him with their own eyes. Please him with the news of forgiveness and a generous reward.
12. Verily, We give life to the dead and record what they did and what they left behind. We have counted every thing in a clear guide (the Preserved Tablet).
13. As a parable, give them the inhabitants of the village to whom the messengers came.
14. When We sent two messengers to them, they considered them liars, so We reinforced them with a third. They said: “Verily, we have been sent to you.”
15. They said: “You are people like us. The Merciful has not sent down anything, and you are just lying.”
16. They said: “Our Lord knows that we have indeed been sent to you.
17. We are entrusted only with the clear transmission of revelation.”
18. They said: “Indeed, we have seen a bad omen in you. If you do not stop, we will certainly stone you and you will suffer painful suffering from us.”
19. They said: “Your evil omen will turn against you. Really, if you are warned, do you consider it a bad omen? Oh no! You are people who have transgressed the boundaries of what is permitted!”
20. A man came in a hurry from the outskirts of the city and said: “O my people! Follow the messengers.
21. Follow those who do not ask you for reward and follow the straight path.
22. And why should I not worship Him who created me and to whom you will be returned?
23. Will I really worship other gods besides Him? After all, if the Merciful One wishes to harm me, then their intercession will not help me in any way, and they will not save me.
24. Then I will find myself in an obvious error.
25. Indeed, I have believed in your Lord. Listen to me."
26. He was told: “Enter Paradise!” He said: "Oh, if only my people knew
27. why my Lord has forgiven me (or that my Lord has forgiven me) and that He has made me one of the honoured!”
28. After him, We did not send down any army from heaven against his people, nor did We intend to send them down.
29. There was only one voice, and they died out.
30. Woe to the slaves! Not a single messenger came to them whom they did not mock.
31. Do they not see how many generations We have destroyed before them and that they will not return to them?
32. Verily, they will all be gathered from Us.
33. A sign for them is the dead earth, which We revived and brought from it grain on which they eat.
34. We created in it gardens of palm trees and vines and caused springs to flow from them,
35. that they may eat their fruits and what they have created with their own hands (or that they may eat fruits that they have not created with their own hands). Won't they be grateful?
36. Great is He who created in pairs what the earth grows, themselves and what they do not know.
37. A sign for them is the night, which We separate from the day, and so they plunge into darkness.
38. The sun floats to its abode. This is the decree of the Mighty, the Knowing.
39. We have predetermined positions for the moon until it again becomes like an old palm branch.
40. The sun does not have to catch up with the moon, and the night does not run ahead of the day. Everyone floats in orbit.
41. It is a sign for them that We carried their offspring in an overflowing ark.
42. We created for them in his likeness what they sit on.
43. If We wish, we will drown them, and then no one will save them, and they themselves will not be saved,
44. unless We show them mercy and allow them to enjoy the benefits until a certain time.
45. When it is said to them, “Beware of what is before you and what is after you, so that you may receive mercy,” they do not answer.
46. Whatever sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord, they certainly turn away from it.
47. When they are told: “Spend from what Allah has provided for you,” the disbelievers say to the believers: “Shall we feed the one whom Allah would feed if He willed? Truly, you are only in obvious error."
48. They say: “When will this promise come true, if you are telling the truth?”
49. They have nothing to expect except one voice, which will amaze them when they argue.
50. They will neither be able to leave a will nor return to their families.
51. The Horn will be blown, and now they rush to their Lord from the graves.
52. They will say: “Woe to us! Who raised us from the place where we slept? This is what the Most Gracious promised, and the messengers spoke the truth.”
53. There will be only one voice, and they will all be gathered from Us.
54. Today no injustice will be done to any soul, and you will only be rewarded for what you have done.
55. Indeed, the inhabitants of Paradise today will be busy in pleasure.
56. They and their spouses will lie in the shadows on couches, leaning.
57. There is fruit there for them and everything they require.
58. The merciful Lord greets them with the word: “Peace!”
59. Separate yourself today, O sinners!
60. Did I not command you, O sons of Adam, not to worship Satan, who is your open enemy,
61. and worship Me? This is the straight path.
62. He has already misled many of you. Don't you understand?
63. This is Gehenna, which was promised to you.
64. Burn in it today because you disbelieved.”
65. Today We will seal their mouths. Their hands will speak to Us, and their feet will testify of what they have acquired.
66. If We wish, We will deprive them of their sight, and then they will rush to the Path. But how will they see?
67. If We wish, We will disfigure them in their places, and then they will neither be able to move forward nor return.
68. To whom We grant long life, We give the opposite appearance. Don't they understand?
69. We did not teach him (Muhammad) poetry, and it is not fitting for him to do so. This is nothing but a Reminder and a clear Quran,
70. So that he may warn those who are alive, and so that the Word may be fulfilled regarding those who disbelieve.
71. Do they not see that from what Our hands (We Ourselves) have done, We have created cattle for them, and that they own them?
72. We made it subject to them. They ride some of them and feed on others.
73. They bring them benefit and drink. Won't they be grateful?
74. But they worship other gods instead of Allah in the hope that they will be helped.
75. They cannot help them, although they are a ready army for them (the pagans are ready to fight for their idols, or the idols will be a ready army against the pagans in the Hereafter).
76. Don’t let their speeches sadden you. We know what they hide and what they reveal.
77. Doesn’t man see that We created him from a drop? And so he openly bickers!
78. He gave Us a parable and forgot about his creation. He said, “Who will revive the bones that have decayed?”
79. Say: “He who created them the first time will give them life. He knows about every creation."
80. He created fire for you from green wood, and now you kindle fire from it.
81. Is He who created the heavens and the earth incapable of creating others like them? Of course, because He is the Creator, the Knower.
82. When He desires something, then He should say: “Be!” - how it comes true.
83. Great is He, in Whose Hand is power over every thing! To Him you will be returned.

One hadith says that in Taurat Surah Yasin is called “mun'imah” because it contains benefits for its readers akhirat and in this world. And it removes the troubles of this world and akhirat, and eliminates the horror of akhirat. Another hadith says: “Whoever reads Surah Yasin only so that Allah is pleased, all his previous sins will be forgiven. Therefore read this sura over his dead.” Yasin, who reads sura, dies every night as a martyr.

The enormous significance of Surah Yasin is spoken of in many hadiths. One of them says that everything has its own heart, and the heart of the Koran is Surah Yasin. For anyone who reads Surah Yasin, Allah will write down a reward for him as for reading ten Qurans. Another narration says that Allah Ta’ala read Surahs “Taha” and “Yasin” a thousand years before the creation of the heavens and the earth. And when the angels heard, they said: “Happiness to the community to which this Koran will be sent down, and happiness to those hearts that will carry it, that is, learn it, and happiness to those languages that will read it.”

Surah Yasin also has the name “Rafi'a Hafidah,” that is, which elevates the believers and humiliates the unbelievers. About Ayat Al Kursi

Ayat Al Kursi (ayatal kursi) is the 255th verse of Surah Al Baqarah (the cow). (Some believe that this verse is a surah) Prophet Mohammad (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said that this is the greatest verse of the Quran because it contains itself evidence of monotheism, as well as the greatness and limitlessness of the qualities of the Almighty. It contains “ismi ´azam”, i.e. the greatest name of the Almighty.

Imam al-Bukhari, in his collection of hadiths, cites a hadith about his dignity: “Once, when Abu Hurayrah (radiallahu anhu) was guarding the collected zakat, he caught a thief who said to him: “Let me go, and I will teach you such words that Allah will make useful for you!” Abu Hurayrah (radhiallahu anhu) asked: “What are these words?” He said: “When you go to bed, read “Ayat al Kursi” from beginning to end, and a guardian from Allah will always be with you, and Satan will not be able to approach you until the morning!” After this, Abu Hurairah (radiallahu aknu) told the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) about this, and he said: “He actually told you the truth, despite the fact that he is a notorious liar!” After which the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) told Abu Hurayrah (radiallahu akhnu) that it was the Shaitan himself in the form of a man.”

Another hadith says: “When Ayatul Kursi was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), the Angel Jibraeel, surrounded by 70 thousand angels, conveyed this verse, saying that “Whoever sincerely reads it will receive a reward as for 70 years of service to the Almighty. And the one who reads Ayatul Kursi before leaving home will be surrounded by 1000 angels who will pray for his forgiveness."

Reading the verse of Al-Kursi is equal to reading one fourth of the Quran, at least listen to it constantly.

The one who reads it will be protected from thieves and Satan. Reading this verse before entering a house drives the shaitan out of it. If you read it and blow on food and drink, it will bring blessings, and if you blow on things and clothes, it will protect them from Satan and the thief. The reader of Ayatul Kursi will be protected from the evil of the jinn from morning to evening and from evening to morning.

Whoever reads the text of verse al Kursi constantly after each obligatory prayer, then only death separates this person from Paradise. If you read verse al-Kursi together with the last verse of surah al-Baqarah, then dua (prayers to the Almighty) will not remain unanswered. Download verse Al-Kursi from the website to read 33 or 99 times daily for safety and blessings. Read 3 times before bed, especially if you have nightmares. Praise be to Allah, the Most High Master, in whose hand is power over everything and to whom you will be returned!

Brief description of 2 surahs Al Baqarah

Surah Al Baqarah is the second and greatest surah of the Quran. It consists of 286 verses, which reveal the entire essence of Islam. It contains instructions from Allah on how a Muslim should act in a given situation, instructions that regulate all aspects of a Muslim’s life. In particular, the problems of retribution, gambling, drinking wine, as well as a number of issues on the preparation of wills and orders in the event of death, the division of property between relatives, the rules of marriage and aspects of divorce, trade and repayment of debts, usury.

In Surah Al Baqarah there is a parable about the cow of the Israelites and Musa, which is why the sura is called The Cow. It also contains many stories from the lives of the Prophets; the sura emphasizes that the Quran is a guide sent by Allah. It talks about believers to whom Allah has granted His favor, and about those who have incurred the wrath of Allah with their unbelief and hypocrisy.

The Great Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: ""Do not turn your houses into graves. Shaitan flees from the house where 2 Surah Al-Baqarah is read." The importance of reading Surah Al-Baqarah is stated in the following hadith: "Read the Koran, because on the Day of Resurrection he will come and intercede for his own.Read the two blooming suras - “al-Baqarah” and “Ali Imran”, because on the Day of Resurrection they will appear like two clouds or two flocks of birds lined up in rows, and they will intercede for your own. Read Surah al-Baqarah, because in it there is grace and abundance, and without it there is sadness and annoyance, and sorcerers cannot cope with it.”

It is especially important to read the last two verses and the verse of Al-Kursi. The importance of the Al-Kursi verse is described on the website. One of the hadiths quotes the words of the Great Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), in which he says that Allah completed Surah Al Baqarah with the last verses, which he also obtained from the treasury located under his throne. In this hadith, Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) wa sallam) encourages Muslims to read these verses, saying: “Teach (these verses) and teach (read) them to your wives and children, for (these two verses) are both prayer, and (reading) the Koran, and turning to Allah with prayer."

Aren’t these reasons enough for you to listen to this great surah of the Quran al-Baqarah, as well as read the text of its meaning in full, download and share this information with others?

Praise be to Allah, the Most High Master, in whose hand is power over everything and to whom you will be returned!

Meaningful translation of Surah Al-Fatihah

1. In the name of Allah[in the name of God, the Creator of all things, the One and Only for everyone and everything], whose mercy is limitless and eternal.

The sura begins with the name of Allah, the One, the Perfect, the Almighty, the Impeccable. He is the Merciful, the Giver of Good (great and small, general and private).

2. True praise belongs only to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

All kinds of most beautiful praise to Allah the One for everything that He has ordained for His slaves. All glory to Allah, the Creator and Lord of the inhabitants of the worlds. In this revelation, the Almighty called himself the Lord of the worlds, thereby emphasizing that He alone creates, controls and bestows blessings on whomever He wishes. All kinds of natural phenomena, economic and political crises, great scientific discoveries and bright historical events - the Almighty controls and disposes of all this what is happening on this Earth, leading Life according to a single plan. He is the only Holder of real power.

3.Whose mercy is limitless and eternal.

Allah is All Merciful. He alone is the Source of Grace and the Giver of every Good (great and small).

4. Lord of the Day of Judgment.

Allah alone is the Lord of the Day of Judgment - the Day of reckoning and retribution. And no one except Him has power over anything on this Day.
On the Day of Judgment, everyone will receive retribution for all the actions, words and deeds that he has done in this worldly life, good or bad. "And who
has done even an atom's worth of good [without a doubt], he will see it. And whoever has committed even an atom’s worth of evil [certainly and without a doubt] will also see it” (Holy Quran, 99:7-8).

5. We worship You and ask You for help[support, God's blessing in our affairs].

Worship is a concept that unites all the words and deeds of a person with which the Almighty is pleased. An act of worship can be a kind word
to a loved one, helping another, for example, with advice, a good deed towards him, providing one or another opportunity, providing material assistance, etc., while doing all this selflessly, and sometimes to the detriment of oneself, one’s interests, and never without expecting gratitude for the good done. When a person’s soul and mind are free from the expectation of gratitude, filled only with love and awe of the Creator, and this awe is not at the level of words, but precisely of the hearts (“and their hearts are trembling”), this is one of the infinite number of facets of worshiping the Almighty. Correctness, verified intentions and sincerity of a heart filled with love for the Lord of the worlds are qualities that raise an ordinary, most mundane matter to the level of “accepted worship” of the Almighty and give a person the right to count on reciprocal Divine love. Despite the fact that asking for help is one of the forms of worship, Allah Almighty mentioned it separately in His last Scripture, because when performing any ritual (deed), the servant of Allah needs the help of his Lord. Without His help, a person will never be able to properly carry out God’s commands, patiently go through difficulties that arise and avoid sins.

6. Guide us on the right path.[Lead us on the straight path of truth, goodness and happiness, direct us to it and help us follow it.]

7. By the way of Your servants[from among the prophets, messengers, righteous people and all those who were awarded such an honor], whom You guided to believe in You and to whom You showed Your mercy, guiding them to the straight path and showed them Your favor, but do not [lead us on the path] those who caused Your anger and went astray from the path of truth and goodness[not fulfilling or following the obligations prescribed by You] .

Description of Surah al-Fatiha

The greatest surah of the Quran is Surah Fatiha (Opening the Book). She is also called the Mother of the Koran. The Great Prophet (PBUH) spoke about the value of this surah and its importance: “Whoever has not read the Opening Book (i.e. surah al-Fatihah) has not prayed” and also “That a prayer in which the person praying has not read the Opening Book.” Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: “Whoever makes a prayer without reading the Opening Book in it, then it (i.e. the prayer) is not complete, not complete, not complete, not complete.” Surah Fatiha is obligatory when reading prayer. This surah is worthy of standing before any of the surahs of the Qur'an and is the most repeated of all, because the worshiper recites these verses in every rak'ah of prayer.

The hadith says that the reward for Surah Fatiha is equal to two thirds of the Quran. In another, that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: “I received 4 things from the special treasures of the Arsha (Throne), from which no one has ever received anything. These are Surah “Fatiha”, “Ayatul Kursi”, the last verses of Surah “Bakara” and Surah “Kausar”. The great significance of Surah Fatiha is stated in the hadith: “Iblis had to grieve, cry and tear out his hair 4 times: the first when he was cursed, the second when he was driven from heaven to earth, the third when the Prophet (PBUH) received the fourth prophecy when Surah Fatihah was revealed.”

There is a hadith in Muslim Sharif that states that the Great Prophet (PBUH) once said: “Today one of the doors of heaven has opened, which has never been opened before. And one angel descended from her, who had never descended before. And the angel said: “Receive the good news about two nurs that have never been given to anyone before you. One is Surah “Fatihah”, and the second is the end of Surah “Bakara (last three verses)”. They are called nurs (light) because on the Day of Judgment they will go before those who read them.

It is written that the text of Surah Fatiha is Ismi A'zam, and it must be read for any need. The benefits of writing this surah with rose oil, musk and saffron on porcelain dishes, and dissolving it in water and giving it to a chronic patient for 40 days, have been confirmed. And also that reading it seven times and blowing helps with toothache, headaches and stomach pain.

Praise be to Allah, the Most High Master, in whose hand is power over everything and to whom you will be returned!

2. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds,

3. Gracious, Merciful,

4. To the King of Judgment Day!

5. We worship only You and only ask You for help!

6. Lead us to the straight path,

7. in the way of those whom You have blessed, not those who are under wrath, nor those who are lost.

1. Sheikh Kulaini reported that Imam Sadiq (A) said:

Gratitude for blessings is moving away from the forbidden, and complete gratitude is the words: “ Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds».

(“Kafi”, volume 2, p. 90).

2. Sheikh Ali ibn Isa reported that Imam Sadiq (A) said:

My father (A) lost his mount. He said: “If Allah returns it to me, I will give Him such gratitude that He will be pleased.” Not much time passed before the animal was found with all its harness. When he sat down on it and straightened his clothes, he said: “ Praise be to Allah" and didn't add anything to it. And then he said: “I have left nothing and left nothing out: all kinds of praise are contained in these words.”

Ali ibn Isa said: “He spoke the truth. Article “ alˮ before the word “ hamdˮ (“praiseˮ”) means that praise belongs to Allah alone.”

(“Kashfu l-gamma”, volume 2, p. 118).

3. Ali ibn Ibrahim Qummi reported from Abu Basir that Imam Sadiq (A) said:

« Praise be to Allah" - that is, gratitude to Allah - " Lord of the Worlds" - To the Creator of creation - " To the gracious" - to all creation - " To the Merciful" - in relation only to believers - " To the King of Doomsday" - the day of reckoning, and an indication of this is the words of Allah: " They say: “Woe to us! This is Judgment Day"(37:20), that is, the day of reckoning. " Only You we worship" - appeal to Allah - "" - in the same way. " Lead us on the straight path": and the "path" is the ruler of the believers, Ali (A) and the knowledge of the Imam.

(“Tafsir” Kummi, volume 1, p. 41).

4. He also narrated that Imam Sadiq (A) said:

« Straight way" is the commander of the believers (A) and his knowledge. And the evidence for this is the words of Allah: “ Truly, he is in the mother of the Book with Us - Ali the wise"(43:4), and this is the Commander of the Believers (A) in the mother of the Book (that is, in Surah Fatihah, which is called the "mother of the Book"), that is, in the words " straight way».

5. He also reported that Imam Sadiq said:

« Lead us to the straight path, the path of those whom You have blessed, not those who are under wrath, and not those who are lost.”: « those who are angry" - Nasibites, and " lost" - Jews and Christians.

(“Tafsir” Kummi, volume 1, p. 42).

6. From Ibn Abi Umair that Imam Sadiq (A) said:

"Those who are angry" - Nasibites, and " lost" - doubters who do not know the Imam.

(“Tafsir” Kummi, volume 1, p. 42).

7. Saad ibn Abdullah reported that Imam Reza (A) said:

“Allah has a green chrysolite beyond this region, from which the heavens are illuminated green.”

They asked him: “What is a “region?”

He said: “The Veil, and with Allah behind it are seventy thousand worlds, the number of inhabitants of which is greater than the number of people and jinn. And they all curse such and such (the first and second usurpers).

8. He also reported that Imam Reza (A) said:

“Allah created the green mountain, which embraces the near world, from chrysolite, and the greenness of the heavens comes from the greenness of this mountain. And He created a creation for which there are no duties similar to the duties of this creation, such as prayer or zakat. And they all curse two people from this ummah (the first and second usurpers).” And he (Imam Reza, peace be upon him) called them by name.

9. He also narrated from Ajlan Abi Salih:

I asked Imam Sadiq (A) about the arch of Adam: “Is this world the arch of Adam?” He said: “Yes, and Allah has many such codes. Beyond this West of yours there are ninety-nine Wests, where there are white lands full of inhabitants that are illuminated by the light of these lands. They do not disobey Allah even for the blink of an eye and do not know whether Allah created Adam or not, and yet they curse so-and-so, so-and-so (the first, second and third usurpers) and renounce them.”

I asked him: “How do they curse so-and-so, so-and-so (the first, second and third usurpers) and renounce them, if they do not even know that Allah created Adam?”

He said: “Do you know Iblis?” I said, “No, except by reports of him.” He said: “But weren’t you commanded to curse him and renounce him?” I said, "Yes." He said, “So are they.”

10. Jabir ibn Yazid reported that Imam Baqir (A) said:

Behind this sun of yours there are forty suns, between sun and sun there are forty years. Numerous creatures live there, which do not know whether Allah created Adam or did not create him. And behind this moon of yours there are forty moons, between moon and moon there are forty years. There are numerous creatures living there who do not know whether Allah created Adam or did not create him. And it was instilled in them by revelation, as it was instilled in the revelation of the bee, that a curse should be placed on the first and second (usurpers) at all times. And angels are assigned to them, who torment them when they do not curse them.

11. From Hassan ibn Abdussamad from Mufazzal ibn Umar that Imam Sadiq (A) said:

Allah created a thousand worlds, each of which is greater than the seven heavens and seven earths, and the inhabitants of each of them do not know that there are other worlds besides their world. And I am the argument over them all.

12. He also reported from Muhammad ibn Muslim:

I asked Imam Sadiq (A) about the inheritance of knowledge. Is it a collection of words or a tafsir (explanation) of every thing? He said: “Allah has two cities: in the East and in the West. There are people in them who do not know whether Allah created Iblis or not. We meet with them every day and they ask us about their needs and prayers (duas) and we teach them. And they ask us about our Kaim: when will he come. They worship Allah a lot and work hard for Him. If you saw them, you would consider your worship as nothing. A person from among them can pray for a month and not raise his head from prostration (sajd). Their food is the glory of Allah, their clothing is righteousness, their faces are illuminated with light. When they see any of us (Ahl ul-Bayt), they surround us, crowd around us and take barakat (grace) from the footprints of our feet for themselves. The sound of their prayers is like the sound of a hurricane. Among them there are people who have never taken off their weapons since they began to wait for our Qaim, and cry to Allah to show it to them. They live for a thousand years. If you saw them, you would see righteousness, peace and the desire for what brings you closer to Allah. When we do not come to them, they think it is because we are dissatisfied with them, and they wait for the times when we come to them. They stand on their feet without getting tired and read the Book of Allah as we taught them. Among the things we teach them, there is something that if you heard it, you would not believe it and would reject it. They ask us about what they read in the Koran and do not understand, and when we explain it to them, their breasts open up. They want us to remain among them all the time, because they know that what we teach them is a great mercy from Allah. They are ready to fight next to the Imam when he comes, armed for this and pray to Allah to make them among those who will help the religion of Allah through this.

Among them there are old people and young people, and whenever a young man sees an old man, he sits down in front of him like a slave and does not get up until he tells him to. If the Imam tells them something, they immediately do it, waiting for another order from him. If they fell on what is between the East and West of this world, they would destroy it in one hour. Their swords are made of iron, but not the same iron as yours: if one of them strikes a rock with such a sword, it will split. The Imam will take them to India, Daylam, Rum, Barbar and Fars and to that between Jabarsa and Jabalqa, and these are two cities, one of them in the East, the other in the West. They will not come to people of any religion except by calling them to Islam, recognition of the prophethood of Muhammad (S), tawhid and the vilayat of Ahl ul-Bayt. Whoever answers them, they will leave him, and whoever does not answer, they will kill him, so that there will be no one left between East and West who does not believe.

(“Basairu Darajat”, p. 448).

Translator's note: Jabarsa and Jabalka are cities related to the geography of Barzakh.

13. Muhammad ibn Hasan Saffar reported that Imam Hasan (A) said:

Allah has two cities - one in the East, the other in the West. They have walls of iron, and each city has a thousand thousand gates, and each gate has two doors of gold. Their inhabitants have a thousand thousand languages, each of which is different from the other. And I know all these languages, and there is no argument over these two cities, and over what is between them and above them, except for me and my brother Hussein (A).

14. Sheikh Mufid reported from Abdussamad ibn Ali:

A man came to Imam Sajjad (A) and the Imam (A) asked him: “Who are you?” He said, “I am a stargazer.” Imam (A) looked at him and said: “Should I tell you about a man who, since you came here, has visited fourteen worlds, each of which is three times larger than this nearby world, and yet has not descended from your place? He asked: “Who is this?” Imam (A) said: “It is me. If you want, I will tell you what you eat and hide in your house.”

(“Ichthysas”, p. 319).

15. Sheikh Saduq reported from Imam Askari (A) that a man came to Imam Reza (A) and asked: “O son of the Messenger of Allah! Tell me about the words of Allah: “ Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds!ˮ What is their tafsir?” He said:

It was narrated from Imam Hussein (A) that a man came to the Commander of the Believers, Ali (A) and asked: “Tell me about the words of Allah: “ Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds!ˮ What is their tafsir?” He said: "" Praise be to Allahˮ means that Allah made His servants know some of His mercies in general, because they are not able to know all of them in their particulars, for there are more of them than can be counted or known. And He told them to say: “ Praise be to Allahˮ - for what He has given to us. AND " Lord of the Worldsˮ: “worlds” here are all creations, from minerals and animals. He rules the animals by His power, feeds them from His provision, maintains them and disposes of them. As for minerals, He preserves them and divides what is united in them so that they crumble, and unites what is divided in them so that they close together, and holds back the heavens so that they do not fall to the earth except by His command, and holds the earth so that it does not open up except by His command; truly, He is Kind and Merciful for His servants!”

And then he said: "" Lord of the Worldsˮ - that is, their King, their Creator, Who gives them food, from where they know and from where they do not know. Food ( rizq) is distributed, and it will come to the descendant of Adam, no matter what path he himself walks in this near world: the fear of the God-fearing will not increase it, and the wickedness of the wicked will not decrease it. There is a veil between man and his food, and he is in search of it. If one of you runs away from his food, it will rush after him, just as death rushes.

Allah told us to say “ praise be to Allahˮ - for the blessings He has endowed us with, and for the fact that He mentioned us as blessings in the books of our predecessors before we were born. And this makes it obligatory for Muhammad (S), the family of Muhammad and their Shiites to thank Allah for what He has provided them with. The Messenger of Allah (S) said that when Allah sent Musa ibn Imran as a messenger and chose him as a savior, and opened the sea for him, and saved the people of Israel, and gave him the Torah and scrolls, he said: “O Allah, You have given me such mercy , which has never been bestowed upon anyone before me. And Allah said to him: “O Musa! Do you not know that Muhammad is higher before Me than all My angels and all My creations?ˮ. Then Musa (A) asked: “O my Lord! If Muhammad is higher before You than all Your creations, then is there a higher race before You than my family? And Allah said: “O Musa! Don't you know that the position of the family of Muhammad next to the position of all the families of the prophets is like the position of Muhammad himself among all the prophets? Musa (A) said: “O my Lord! If the family of Muhammad is like this, is there an ummah before You higher than my ummah, which You covered with the shadow of clouds, sent down to it manna and quails and opened the sea for it?ˮ Allah said: “O Musa! Don't you know that the position of Muhammad's ummah next to the position of all ummas is like the position of himself among all My creations?ˮ.

Musa (A) said: “Oh, if only I could see them!” Allah said: “O Musa! You will not see them because now is not the time for their appearance. However, you will see them in Paradise - in the Paradise of Eden and Firdaus, enjoying benefits and gifts near Muhammad. Do you want Me to let you hear their speech? Musa (A) said: “Yes, O my Lord! Allah said: “Stand before Me as a slave before the Master, and strengthen your belt!”

And then our Lord cried: “Oh, Ummah of Muhammad!” And they all answered, being in the loins of their fathers and mothers: “Here we are before You ( labbake), O Allah! Here we are before You, and You have no partners! All praise and power belongs to You!ˮ

And Allah, great and holy, made this answer in words that are spoken in the Hajj. And then He called: “O Ummah of Muhammad! My decision regarding you is this: My mercy comes before My wrath, and My forgiveness comes before My punishment. I answered you before you called on Me, and I gave it to you before you asked Me. I will admit into Paradise the one who testifies that there is no god but Allah, the One, without partners, and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, being truthful in his words and confirming them with his deeds, and that Ali ibn Abi Talib is his brother and successor after him, and will obey him in the same way as he obeyed the Messenger, and that the most pure Imams are the signs of Allah and the arguments of Allah after Muhammad and Ali. I will bring such a one into Paradise, even if his sins are like the sea.

When Allah sent Muhammad as a prophet, He said: “ You were not at the side of the mountain when We calledˮ (28: 46) - that is, they called out to your ummah. And then Allah said to Muhammad (S): “ Say: Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worldsˮ - for what He has endowed me with from all these virtues, and said to his ummah: “Say: Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worldsˮ - for what He has endowed us with from all these virtues.”

(“Uyun akhbar ar-reza”, volume 1, p. 254).

16. He also narrated that Imam Reza (A) said:

People are obliged to read the Qur'an during prayer so that the Qur'an is not forgotten and lost, but that it is preserved and studied. And its first sura is “Fatiha”, and not any other sura, because other suras do not contain the goodness and wisdom that are collected in this sura. Words " praise be to Allah" - this is the fulfillment of what Allah has obliged His creation to do regarding gratitude to Him for what He has given them out of good - " Lord of the Worlds" - this is monotheism ( tawhid), praising Him and confirming that He is the Creator and King, and no one else but Him, “ To the King of Doomsday“- confirmation of resurrection, reckoning, retribution and the future world and the fact that He is the King in all this, just as in the near world He is the King. " Only You we worship"- striving and getting closer to Allah and sincerity in doing things for Him and not for someone else - " and we only ask you for help"- a request for more success, worship, continuation of His benefits and His help. " Lead us on the straight path" - a request for direct guidance in His religion, for grasping His rope and for adding to the knowledge of the Lord, His greatness and glory - " by the way of those whom You have blessed" - confirmation of the request, desire and remembrance of what was said above regarding His mercies to His friends - " not those who are angry" - this is resorting to Him in order to be from among the stubborn, unfaithful, denying Him and His command and prohibition - " and not lost“- this is a request for deliverance from being one of those who deviate from His path without any knowledge and at the same time thinking that they are doing good. And in this sura (“Fatiha”) the good and wisdom of the near and future worlds were united in a way that they have not been united in anything else.

(“Faqih”, volume 1, p. 219).

17. He also narrated from Mufazzal ibn Umar:

I asked Imam Sadiq (A) about the path ( Sirat). He said: “This is the road to knowing Him, and there are two paths: the path in this world and the path in the next world. As for the path in the near world, this is the Imam, whose obedience is obligatory. Anyone who recognizes him in the near world and is guided by his example will cross another path ( Sirat) in the future world, which is the Bridge over Gehenna. And whoever does not know him in the near world, his feet will slip from the path ( Sirat) in the future world, and he will fall into the fire of Gehenna.

(“Maani akhbar”, p. 32).

18. He also narrated that the Commander of the Believers Ali (A) said:

« Lead us on the straight path- that is, grant us success in obeying You in the future just as we obeyed You in the past. AND " straight way“- these are two paths: one in the near life, and the other in the future. And the straight path in near life is located between excess and understatement, and it is a firm stand (on the truth) and the absence of accepting anything from lies. As for the second path, this is the path of believers to Paradise, which is straight: they will not deviate from Paradise and will not go to Hell or to anything other than Paradise.

(“Maani akhbar”, p. 32).

Translator's note: We are talking primarily about excess and understatement of the merits of Ahl ul-Bayt (A).

18. He also narrated that Imam Sajjad (A) said:

There is no veil between Allah and His argument (the Prophet or Imam), and there is no covering with Allah except His argument. We are the gates of Allah, and we are the straight path, and we are the guardians of His knowledge, and we are the interpreters of His revelation, and we are the pillars of His tawhid, and we are the place of His secrets.

(“Maani akhbar”, p. 33).

19. He also reported that Imam Sadiq (A) said:

The words of Allah in Surah Fatiha: “ Lead us on the straight path“- they mean Muhammad (S) and his Ahl ul-Bayt (that is, they are this straight path).

(“Maani akhbar”, p. 33).

20. He also reported that the Messenger of Allah (S) said:

« In the way of those whom You have blessed, not of those who are under wrath, and not of those who are lost": Shia Ali are those who are blessed through the wilayat of Ali. They will not be angry and they will never go astray.

(“Maani akhbar”, p. 36).

21. He also narrated that the Commander of the Believers Ali (A) said:

« In the way of those whom You have blessed“—that is: lead us along the path of those whom You have blessed through success in following Your religion and submitting to You. And they are those about whom Allah said: “And whoever submits to Allah and the Messenger, then they are along with those of the prophets, the righteous, the martyrs, the pious, to whom Allah has shown mercy. And how wonderful they are as comrades! "(4: 69).

And they are not blessed with wealth or health of the body, although these are also blessings of Allah that are manifested externally. Do you not see that those who are given this are unfaithful or wicked? However, you are called to cry to Allah for the path of those who are blessed with faith in Allah, the Messenger and the vilayat of Muhammad (S) and his family and the beautiful way through which they are protected from the evil of the servants of Allah and the increase in the sins of the enemies of Allah.

(“Maani akhbar”, p. 36).

22. Ayashi reported from Muhammad ibn Muslim:

I asked Imam Sadiq (A) about the words of Allah: “ And We gave you the seven repeatables and the great Qur'an"(15: 87). He said: “This is Surah Fatihah, which is among the treasures of the Throne. It starts with “ in the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful!ˮ is the verse about which Allah said: “ And when you remember your Lord in the Quran alone, they turn back out of disgustˮ (17:46). And further: “ Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worldsˮ - these are the words of the inhabitants of Paradise when they thank Allah for the wonderful reward that He has given them - “ To the King of Doomsdayˮ - Jabrail said: “If a Muslim says this, Allah and the inhabitants of heaven will certainly confirm his correctness.” “ Only You we worshipˮ is the sincerity of worship - “ and only to You we cry for helpˮ are the best words with which slaves can cry out for the fulfillment of their needs. “ Lead us on the straight pathˮ - by the way of the prophets whom Allah has blessed - “ not those who are angryˮ - Jews - “ and not lostˮ - Christians."

(“Tafsir” Ayashi, volume 1, p. 36).

23. Dawud ibn Farqad reported from Imam Sadiq (A):

« Lead us on the straight path": "straight path" is the ruler of the believers, Ali (A).

(“Tafsir” Ayashi, volume 1, p. 37).

24. Imam Askari (A) reported that the Commander of the Believers (A) said:

Allah commanded His servants to ask Him for the path of those who have been favored, and these are the truthful, the martyrs and the righteous, and to resort to Him from the path of those on whom His wrath lies, and these are the Jews, about whom Allah said: “Say: “Shall I inform Do you want me to do something more malicious than this, as a reward from Allah? The one whom Allah cursed and with whom He was angry, and made of them monkeys and pigs" (5: 60), and resort to Him from the path of the lost, and these are those about whom Allah said: “Say: “O people of the Book! Do not be excessive in your religion without the truth, and do not follow the passions of people who went astray before, and led astray many, and went astray” (5: 77), and these are Christians. And whoever does not believe in Allah is under anger and has strayed from the path of Allah.

(“Tafsir” by Imam Askari, p. 50).

Surah Al-Fatiha. (Opening)

Our khutbah today is dedicated to Surah al-Fatihah, which opens the Book - the Koran.

2. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds,

4. Lord of the Day of Retribution!

6. Lead us to the straight path,

In the collection of Imam Muslim there is a hadith:

I [the Lord God] divided the prayer between Me and the praying person into two parts. My servant will receive what he asks. When he says: “Al-hamdu lil-lahi rabbil-‘alamin” (“True praise belongs only to Allah, the Lord of the worlds”), then I will say: “My servant thanks Me”; when he says: “Ar-rahmani rrahim” (“Whose mercy is eternal and limitless”), then I will say: “My servant praises Me”; when he says: “Myaliki yaumiddin” (“To the Lord of the Day of Judgment”), then I will say: “My servant glorifies Me”; when he says: “Iyakya na’budu wa iyakya nasta’in” (“We worship You and ask You for help”), then I will say: “This is between Me and My servant. To him I will [give] whatever he asks”; when he says: “Ikhdina ssyratol-mustaqim, siratol-lyaziyna an’amta ‘alaihim, gairil-magdubi ‘alaihim va lyaddolin” (“Guide us to the right path. The path of those to whom it was given. Not those with whom You were angry, and not those who came down from it”), then I will say: “This is for My servant. And he gets what he asks.”

Imam Ahmad reports that Way bin Ka'b read Surah Al-Fatihah to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), after which the Messenger addressed him with the words:

“I swear by the one in whose power my soul is, neither in the Torah, nor in the Injil, nor in the Zabur, nor in the Furqan, was no one sent down equal to it. She is the seven repeated verses and the Great Qur'an that was given to me."

Al Fatiha is called the mother of the Quran because this surah contains the meaning of the entire Quran. And in this surah there is healing from poison.

It was narrated from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)
and greetings) described Surah Fatiha as ruqayah and he approved of the Sahabah who recited it as ruqayah for one who was bitten by a scorpion.
Bukhari and Muslim.

Ibn Qayyim said:

“I was in Mecca and was sick and could not find a doctor or medicine,
so I was treated by reading it (Sura Fatiha). I took some ZamZam water
and read over it (sura) several times. I was completely cured by this, then I began to do this every time I felt pain and received great benefit from it.” Zaad al Maad (4:164)

This surah also contains healing for the soul and for society.

Ibn Abbas is reported to have said:

“Once, when we were sitting next to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, Jibril was next to him. Suddenly he heard a creaking overhead, and Jibril looked at the sky and said: “This has opened a gate in the sky that has never been opened before.” An angel descended through them, who appeared to the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, and said: “Rejoice in the two lights that were given to you and were not given to any of the prophets before you. These are Surah al-Fatihah and the last verses of Surah al-Baqarah. And everything that you read in them will certainly be given to you” (Muslim and an-Nasai).

All Muslims, both adults and children, everyone knows this surah. But are we reading it as we should?

Let's take a closer look at what Allah Almighty said in this surah:

1. In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful!

Allah - scholars say that this is the greatest name. If you ask for dua with this name, it will be accepted.

Gracious. Allah Almighty shows His mercy to everyone.

Those who carry the Throne, and those around it, glorify their Lord with praise, believe in Him and ask for forgiveness for the believers: “Our Lord! Thou hast embraced every thing with mercy and knowledge. (40:7)

There is a hadith where the prophet (saw) says that Allah divided His mercy into 100 parts. One of which He sent to earth, but He left the remaining 99 parts of Grace with Himself..

Merciful. Allah Almighty shows mercy only to believers:

He is the One who blesses you, and His angels also bless you to lead you out of the darkness into the light. He is merciful to believers. (33:43)

2. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds

Alhamdullilah - all praise. He has no shortcomings. This is gratitude for everything that we have and around us.

All the blessings you have are from Allah. (16:53)

We must thank Allah with our heart, tongue and action.

The Lord is the owner, the manager of everything

Worlds - all the worlds that we see and do not see, about which we know and do not know.

One of the bounties of Allah is that for every praise that a slave gives to Him, Allah gives a reward.

3. Gracious, Merciful,

4. Lord of the Day of Retribution!

On this day there will be no other ruler, there will be no kings and rulers, except Allah Almighty!

On the day when they appear on the surface of the earth after resurrection, nothing about them will be hidden from Allah. Who owns the power today? To Allah, the Only, Almighty. (40:16)

5. You alone we worship and You alone we pray for help.

Surah al-Fatihah contains the meaning of the entire Quran, and this verse contains the meaning of the entire al-Fatihah. This is our belief - we do not worship anyone but Allah, prostrations to the ground and from the waist, fire offerings, tawaf (circumvention around the Kaaba) - only to Allah. We love and hate for the sake of Allah, we ask and wait for help only from Allah. The first part of the verse affirms Monotheism (Tawhid), the second part rejects polytheism (Shirk).

Shaykh ul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said: “Worship is submission to Allah, based on obedience to what Allah said through the mouth of the prophets. Worship is all words and deeds, both obvious and hidden, that Allah loves and with which He is pleased."

6. Lead us to the straight path

7. The path of those whom You have blessed, not those on whom wrath has fallen, and not those who are lost.

This is a dua, a prayer to Allah. We ask that Allah will lead us along the path that leads to Him, to His Face, which will lead us to paradise.

We constantly need Allah's help and His guidance.

One day, when an ashab named Sawban ibn Malik came to the Prophet, peace be upon him, with sadness on his face, he said to him: “What is the matter with you?” Savban replied: “O Rasulullah, I am not sick, but when I don’t see you, I experience strong loneliness and sadness until I meet you, then I remember Akhirat and am afraid that I will not see you in the next world, since you will be together with the prophets, and if I enter Paradise, then I will be close to your house. And if I do not enter, then I will never see you.

Then Allah Almighty revealed this verse:

Those who obey Allah and the Messenger will find themselves together with the prophets, truthful men, martyrs and righteous people whom Allah has blessed. How beautiful these satellites are! (4:69)

When the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, read this verse, Sawban was very happy, because he learned that he would be with him in the Hereafter

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds, peace and blessings to the Prophet Muhammad, his family, his companions and all who follow his path until the Day of Judgment

1.In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful!
2.Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds,
3.Merciful, Merciful,
4. To the Lord of the Day of Retribution!
5. You alone we worship and You alone we pray for help.
6. Lead us to the straight path,
7. By the way of those whom You have blessed, not those on whom anger has fallen, and not those who are lost.

This Meccan sura is the first in the Koran, and it is the fifth in the order of revelation. Sent down in its entirety. She is also called “Umm-ul-Kitab” - the Mother of the Book. And indeed, Allah, Holy and Great, has collected in this small surah the whole great meaning of the Koran. The Quran says about the benefits of Surah Al-Fatihah:

« We have sent down to you the seven repeatable verses and the Great Qur'an."(15:87)

This sura is worthy of standing before any of the suras of the Koran and, truly, is the most repeated of all, because the worshiper pronounces these verses several times in each prayer. It exclusively convincingly and succinctly interprets a person’s attitude towards his Lord in a state of conversion and supplication. It contains extraordinary wisdom, and at the same time, it is easy on the tongue, since it does not contain complex pronunciation rules, and any Muslim can easily learn it. In seven short verses, Allah outlined the three most important moments in a person’s life - belief, worship, and the path of life.

»

1. In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful!
With these words, we invoke the blessings of Allah on any undertaking, asking Him for good in any endeavor. In addition, they express our trust in the Almighty, the recognition that the result of all affairs depends on Him alone. The reading of any of the surahs of the Koran begins with these words. This serves as a constant reminder that the Quran is the Word of Allah and is not “invented” by Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

2. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds
The Qur'an begins with the praise of Allah. This is the first thing we say, even before we acknowledge the benefits He has given us, or ask for forgiveness, or make a plea. Words of praise are ahead of all others, and this means that Allah is Praiseworthy regardless of anything. People may or may not be grateful to their Creator, but the Power of Allah over the worlds, his Glory will not fade at all from this.

3. To the Gracious, the Merciful
Allah's mercy extends to all creation in this life. It manifests itself in relation to every person, regardless of whether he is a believer and lives in obedience, or an unbeliever and transgresses the boundaries of the laws of Allah. But Allah's mercy is only for those who believe. It concerns them both in this life and in the next, while unbelievers will not receive it in eternity.

4. Lord of the Day of Retribution!
Whether we admit it or not, the Day of Retribution will come, and on that Day all power will belong to Allah Almighty.

5. You alone we worship and You alone we pray for help
This verse is a reasonable conclusion from the previous three. Having praised Allah, a person expresses his love for Him, calling Him Merciful and Merciful, expresses hope for the manifestation of these qualities in relation to himself, pointing to the power of Allah on the Day of Judgment, speaks of his fear of the Almighty. On these three pillars - love, hope and fear - worship stands.

6. Lead us to the straight path
We need guidance from Allah. A person himself cannot walk on the straight path without going astray unless Allah constantly guides him.

7. By the path of those whom You have blessed, not those on whom anger has fallen, and not those who are lost.
This verse indicates two deviations from the straight path. The first one arouses the wrath of the Almighty. Wrong intentions and sinful actions lead to it. The second is towards misconception. Incorrect theoretical knowledge and fabrications, erroneous beliefs lead to it.

Surah Al-Fatihah in a condensed form includes a mention of all the foundations of faith.

  • It reminds us of the blessings that Allah has endowed us with - “Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds”;
  • Reminds us of sincerity, which is an indispensable condition for accepting worship - “We worship You alone and we pray to You alone for help”;
  • Reminds us of the need to choose the right environment for ourselves - “the way of those whom You have blessed”;
  • Warns of the danger of being in a bad environment - “not those on whom anger has fallen, and not those who are lost”;
  • Reminds us of the beautiful names of Allah, prayer through which is a way of approaching Him - “Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, Gracious, Merciful”;

The mention of these names also speaks about the basis of Allah's attitude towards his slave.

  • Reminds us of perseverance - “Guide us to the straight path.”
  • Makes one focus on Eternal Life – “Lord of the Day of Retribution.”
  • It contains a prayer, which, as is known, is the essence of worship - “We worship You alone and we pray to You alone for help. Lead us on the straight path."
  • Finally, it reminds us of the unity of the Muslim community, since all addresses to Allah in this surah are given in the plural.
The relationship between the surahs "Al Fatiha" and the next one, "Al Baqarah":

"Al Fatiha":"Lead us to the straight path"
"Al Bakara":"Alif. Lam. Mim. This Scripture, in which there is no doubt, is a true guide for the God-fearing, who believe in the unseen, perform prayer and spend from what We have provided for them, who believe in what has been revealed to you and what was revealed before you, and are convinced of The Hereafter. They follow guidance from their Lord, and they are successful" (1-5)

The relationship between the beginning of Surah Al Fatiha and the end of Surah An-Nas(that is, between the first and last sura of the Quran):

"Al Fatiha": "Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds..."

"An-Nas:" "... I seek salvation from the Lord of men. The Ruler of men. From the God of the human race..."

Of course, the interpretation of this surah is not limited to the above. The wisdom of these short verses is inexhaustible. Ali ibn Abi Talib, may Allah be pleased with him, said: “ I could load a caravan with an interpretation of the "Mother of the Scriptures"»
