And the story of their appearance in our family is as follows. I think I won’t be mistaken if I say that throughout the entire territory of the former Soviet Union approximately one list holiday dishes, which definitely has Olivier or Stolichny salads and herring under a fur coat. Therefore, for each group of guests there was a different, each time new, holiday menu. And I didn’t include the boring, albeit favorite, salads in it, especially since in the spring I wanted something unusual. It was then that an unchanging tradition arose in our house of preparing these unusual, but at the same time light salads for the festive table.

The filling in this recipe can be absolutely anything, I just like this original presentation. This time I wrapped some kind of Olivier in pita bread. By the way, our recent one is also perfect.

To be honest, I don’t remember whether I ate it somewhere or came up with it myself, or maybe I just improved it on a whim, but the ingredients in it are:

Ingredients:

  • carrots, medium size - 3 pcs.
  • walnuts - 50 gr.
  • light raisins - 50 gr.
  • salt pepper
  • sour cream for dressing

Step by step recipe:

  1. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater.
  2. Cut the nuts into raisin-sized pieces.
  3. Mix everything, salt and pepper to taste and season with sour cream.

It is advisable to use low-fat sour cream.

I also sometimes add a spoonful of mayonnaise for taste and sometimes granulated sugar if the carrots are unsweetened.

  • Mayonnaise 100 g.
  • Green onion 15 g.
  • Pickled cucumber 1 pc.

Preparation:

5.Tear or chop the chicken breast. Place in a bowl with the remaining ingredients.


6. Boil the carrots until soft. This will take half an hour. When cold, peel it and cut it into smaller pieces. Set aside 1 pc. For decoration.


7.Add salt and pepper. Season with mayonnaise. If you have sour cream, you can use it. As a substitute for mayonnaise, however, in this case the dish will turn out to be greasy.


8. Stir the salad until smooth.


9. Transfer the mixture to the final plate and give the salad the shape of a mushroom.


10. Finely grate the yolk; it will be used for the bottom of the hat.


11. We do the same with the squirrels, sprinkle them on the mushroom stem.


12. Place the grated carrots on the mushroom cap and get a real mushroom.


13.Now we will make the final decoration of the salad. First let's try to create ladybugs. As a base we use a tomato, cut in half. Make small mayonnaise dots. We cut the olive, it will serve as the head. Dill can be used for antennae. As a result, we got a very tasty and unusual salad with creative decoration.

Ingredients:

  • Cucumber 1 pc.
  • Cottage cheese 65 g.
  • Frozen shrimp 0.2 kg.
  • Lemon juice 1 tbsp.
  • Allspice 1 incomplete tsp.


Preparation:

1.First you need to boil the shrimp. It is enough to simmer them in boiling water for 3 minutes. Then we clean it and combine it with pepper, cheese and lemon juice. Stir until smooth.


2.Slice the cucumber as thinly as possible into long slices.
