The initiator of the creation of this platform was the Committee on Industrial Policy and Innovation of St. Petersburg with the support of the “Young Professionals” direction of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) and the public representative of the ASI in St. Petersburg, Kirill Soloveichik.

The choice of location for the first stationary “Boiling Point” outside Moscow (a space for collective work - approx.) is not accidental - many leading Russian companies and engineering universities in global markets are based in St. Petersburg, which “contain the NTI gene,” said the director direction “Young Professionals” of ASI Dmitry Peskov.

“Among the universities that we call NTI universities, the two leaders are Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University and ITMO University. This combination of universities, companies operating in global markets, and people with free will - sufficient human capital to implement truly complex projects, with new complex language who overcome skepticism about our future,” said Dmitry Peskov.

Special Representative of the President of Russia for Digital and Technological Development Dmitry Peskov noted that the key task of university “Boiling Points” is to involve regions, regional industry universities in a technological breakthrough.
“The basic requirements that we impose on a university to open Boiling Point are an active community, people who participate in our programs, in events on the Leader-ID platform, as well as a standardly organized space with communication tools,” he said.

Dmitry Peskov noted that universities that have opened the “Boiling Point” will be the first to receive an offer to participate in the regional acceleration program of the National Technology Initiative starting in 2019 and will be able to count on compensation for costs when implementing projects.

ASI project “Boiling Point” started in Volgograd

“Boiling Point – Volgograd” started in the building of the Volgograd State Technical University on Lenin Avenue.

The site will be permanent - at least 10 thousand people should take part in the project over the course of a year. The key areas will be “Innovation”, “Entrepreneurship”, “Comfortable environment” and “New thinking practices”.

Member of the Council of the Volgograd regional branch of the Russian Lawyers Association Anton Lukash is the curator of the “Comfortable Environment” direction, within which projects will be implemented in the field of civil society, human capital, and improvement of the urban environment.

On the “Comfortable Environment” track, 10 events were held on 09.21.-09.22.2019 - interactive lectures and discussions, round tables, workshops on the topics:

“The image of Volgograd in the perception of city residents, Russian citizens and foreigners.”

“Design code for a modern city. Building an image and brand."

"Volgograd's experience in creating real and virtual public spaces."

“Basic and instrumental values ​​in the information society. Issues of maintaining identity."

“The right to family protection. Legal and social aspect".

“Conversation about the future of educational formats.”

“Fake news and manipulation in the information society. The role of media in preserving the spiritual and psychological health of people.”

“Teacher and student - how to understand each other? Information and psychological competencies necessary for a modern teacher and student.”

“Youth leadership and social design in a modern city - methods and tools.”

The track ended with a strategic session “Industrial city in the post-industrial world. Transformation of the urban environment and the consciousness of citizens”, at which a brainstorming session took place on issues - the image and image of Volgograd, the desires of citizens in the field of improvement, accents in the development of the modern urban environment of Volgograd.

Based on the results, specific projects on the topics of the track have been developed and will be implemented.
